EVERDAY CASUAL OUTFIT
I probably don’t need to tell you, but this is not my everyday look. This is what I call an everyday casual outfit. This is the type outfit you will find me in on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. This is my lay around the house outfit, or my run to the store for groceries outfit. Here is how this outfit started. I started with a white t-shirt and a pair of shorts. How hard is that for everyone to re-create? Easy peasey! I would probably stay in just the t-shirt and shorts, unless I was going out, or unless someone was coming over. If that was the case, then I would add a third item, such as this button-up shirt. AND, I would not go out of the house bare-footed, so putting on a pair of sneakers would be in order. HahaWe will start with this navy and white check, or plaid, button-up shirt. I bought this early this spring when Belk was having a huge clearance sale. I haven’t worn this shirt since March (see post), so I thought I would dust it off and throw it on. Lol! The shirt is not great quality, but it served it’s purpose. The brand is called Red Camel, and I am wearing a large.
Similar Check Tops: Brooks Brothers | Dorthy Perkins | Mod Cloth  (XS – 4X)I wore my Quincy necklace from Plunder. I chose to wear it as a choker, but here is where I wore it long. I like that you can get two different looks out of this necklace. I am especially fond of antique keys, so this necklace is one of my favorites. While I didn’t get a close up of the bracelets, I will still tell what they are. The one of the left is called the Bonny, and the two on the right are the Frances and the Halsey. I have an August contest running with Plunder. EVERYONE who places an order from Plunder through me in the month of August, will be entered in for a $25.00 Plunder gift certificate. You can buy a bracelet, and you will be entered into the contest. To shop with me, here is the website: http://www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens  Try copying and pasting this in the address line, and hopefully it will work. If not, then type in my stylist number 241007 in the stylist box at checkout. I have started an online party, and there is a dropdown box where you can choose Tania’s P Party at checkout also. Several of you ladies have already taken me up on this offer. Good Luck! The shorts I have on came from Kohl’s years ago. I seem to say that a lot. I bet you gurls wish I would go shopping and buy some new clothes. Haha I will start a go-fund me page so that you can all donate to my “Tania Needs Some New Clothes” account. Lol!!! These shorts are by Ashley Judd, but here are some similar shorts.
Bermuda Shorts: Eddie Bauer | J Crew | Lee  | Talbots (Misses, Petites, Plus)Don’t ask me why I decided to wear this pair of red sneakers, because I couldn’t tell you. Probably because I haven’t worn them in a long time. I bought these at a store in Acworth Georgia, called Glitzy Chicks, and they monogrammed them while I was there. The shoes are look alike Converse, but probably about half the price. I think I have covered everything with the exception of the white t-shirt. I like to purchase a new white shirt at least every other year. Sometimes I have to buy a new one every year. It probably depends on how well I hit my mouth while eating. Lol! When you buy a white shirt or any kind, you need to try and make sure that they are thick enough to not show your bra. And make sure they are “really” thick if you don’t wear a bra!!Is this how you dress on the weekends? Or are you one of “those” who stays in their pajamas until it is time to go back to bed? Haha I am going to be having an upcoming post regarding pajamas, so get ready for that.
BTW, you know that I am fast approaching my year blog anniversary. So, I have been thinking about things that might need tweaking. Do you have any suggestions? I was thinking about have a questionnaire post for you to fill out, what do you think?
Anytime you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol!
The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.

I like that your shirt is fitted, making for a slimmer look.
I am pretty much always a jeans and t-shirt girl. The past couple of years I have added leggings and tunics. If I am going anywhere it will be one of the above outfits.
At home – yoga pants and a t-shirt. Never have worn pajamas.
Good Idea !!!! I need a personal stylist too. ~Lisa~
I have an idea. I wish we could post a pic of an outfit we wear that we’re having trouble with (for example the shoes aren’t exactly what we thing we should be wearing, or should we be wearing a belt, etc.) and then you could critique us and give us ideas of how to improve the look!
My sister does this occasionally to me. Hahaha
Me!! Me!! Me!!! I stay in my PJs as much as I possibly can over the weekends GRIN
Love the ideas on the everyday look too, for those of us whom do not work public anymore…..I like the look too!! Can hardly wait for the P.J. ideas……Thanks for ALL you do for us Ladies…..We surely appreciate ALL the HELP we can get……Love You Girl…..Deb
Very well said Jan…..~Lisa~
Never apologize for wearing or showing us clothing that is not brand spanking new!
It is very refreshing to see how you mix and match newer purchases with what is already in your closet. Makes me look at my clothes in a different way. And I love your bargains! I follow a couple of other fashion blogs, but I like yours the BEST! Thank you-
II wouldn’t change a thing about your blog. I love your fashion, your wit and you inspire me to go outside my comfort zone with color and accessories. Keep up the good work1
I love gingham. I have a red and white and a navy and white gingham, I just love them. The red shoes are adorbs! I got a pair of aqua converse shoes this summer, believe it or not, my hubby picked them out. I have to wear the no show socks with them bc they kind of rub me the wrong way if not. Cute as always and the questionnaire sounds like fun!
Fabulous weekend casual look. Just the right mix of ordinary with a pop of style so that it’s not hum-drum. My trick for checking on the sheerness of a white T is to put my hand against the inside of the fabric and assess the visibility of my nail polish.

Girl………..you can even “rock” an around-the-house outfit. You ought to see what I wear around the house. I look like a booger. Absolutely love the gingham. ~Lisa~
That’s a different look! I can see you bbq en like this! Haha, great. Love the necklace an the All stars. I bought a white pair this spring and they look like hell now, I think those are my most worn shoes this summer.

Thank you Caroline for a great idea. Cute outfit for running around, shoes look comfy. Like the key necklace worn short with this look.
Cute look Tania – I am a total all star addict – could almost write a book “not without my all stars”, but having look a-likes for half the price sounds fab.
I wear them with everything – even expensive shift dresses (believe it or not)…see: http://funkyforty.com/3-x-philosophy-for-a-real-wardrobe-statement/
Have a brilliant day!

When I go to purchase a white or light t-shirt, I slip the price tag down into the neck opening. If I can read the writing on it clearly through the fabric then I know that it is going to be too see through for me.
That’s a brilliant idea!
That is a great idea Caroline!
Thank you Caroline for this idea. I will definitely remember it ~Lisa~
