DRESSES FOR ALL OCCASIONS
Before I start this post, I want to tell you a story. I know you are shocked that I would have a story and even better is that the story is on my sister. She should know by now not to tell me anything, I tell everything I know. Haha! I am a University of Tennessee football fan! She is a University of Tennessee football NUT!
If UT is playing football then I will root for them, go VOLS! But that is not how my sister does football. She “watches” the game and has to have her orange and white pom poms out or they might lose. The fun comes in when UT plays Georgia because she lives in Georgia and lives with a Georgia graduate. Last time they played she went to my mom’s house in Tennessee because she didn’t want to watch the game with her husband. Lol! When it came time for her daughter to attend her first college football game she insisted that she attend a UT game before a Georgia game. The other day my sister’s phone rang and this man wanted to speak to John. Her husband’s name is John David but EVERYONE calls him JD. She thought they were calling for her boss, who is also a John. The man went on to explain that he was calling from the University of Tennessee and wanted to know if John was interested in buying season tickets to the UT football games. My sister didn’t fall off the turnip truck yesterday so she immediately wanted to know who was really calling. The man kept insisting that he was really from UT and just calling to see if John wanted to buy season tickets. My sister was not about to fall for that trick! Finally, the man said, “here, call this number and when they answer ask for me.” Guess who answered the phone? That would be the University of Tennessee and of course, they would put her straight through. Lol!!! I laughed and laughed at her. She had to keep apologizing to the man. She said it was like a celebrity calling her. Haha! I wonder what she would do if Peyton Manning called?
Read about Polka Dot outfit here.I don’t know why it has been on my mind but I have been thinking about “the little black dress.” (above) I don’t wear a huge amount of black but I do think it has its place in everyone’s wardrobe. There will come a day when you will need a black dress (below). If you don’t wear a dress often then you need to make sure the one you pick is a classic style.

The cool thing about a dress is that there are all kinds of ways to wear them. In fact, I think I am going to let that be my next series. I’ll work on that this weekend and see what I can come up with.

I love all the dresses. You are an inspiration. I love those navy flats you have on. Where did you get them? I have figured out that my weak fashion link is shoes. Your Shoes are cool. Comfortable shoes are hard to find.
Most of my shoes come from the overstock store in town. They get overstock from QVC and sell all shoes for 25.00. I think those were Isaac Mizrahi.
You look so beautiful! Love all of these dresses on you!! I do not wear anything but a long dress anymore if I even wear dresses. ;-(. My legs and feet have many varicose veins, blue/purple discoloration. I miss wearing them and wonder if you can show a 60 year old woman how to wear them with heavier stockings or tights to cover the legs and feet but still look nice. Could I do it and also wear flats or would I have to wear a type of ankle boot or ? Any input is greatly appreciated!! Thank you! Looking forward to more posts!!
Cindy, I would put leggings or tights on under the dress. Similar to what I did with the blue and white polka-dot dress. Or, better yet, just go bare legged. So what is you have varicose veins. BIG DEAL! Put a little faux tanner on your legs and throw back your shoulders. You can “rock it” if you only will let yourself.
Dyan better be an MTSU fan too!!! We are alumni!!????
Hahaha!
Love the polka dot blue/white!!!
Tania, as usual these looks are great. Love how you change up the jewelry colours from the dress and they pop. I think the royal blue colour looks lovely on you and the white blouse makes it nice and crisp.??
I love dresses. I especially like the first flowered one. So cute. I’d like to know more about that outfit.
Tania, you wear all of these dresses so well! And I about flipped when you said you wore a size 12!!! You look like a size 6 or 8. Seriously! Gives me great incentive to lose those 20 pounds. But more important, I search the internet and Pinterest ALL the time looking for size 12-14, and I’m always taken to plus size departments. Yikes! You have a great niche and are adorable!
If Peyton Manning called I would fall over and die! But I’d die happy!! xoxo–Sister
I ADORE the blue floral dress with the linen(?) jacket. I don’t see a link with the details – can you tell me the source?
Love the polka dots, can you share where this can be purchased? I love your style and enjoy your blog!
I went back and linked to it in the blog. It was late last night, I must have forgotten.
