Philippians 4:8
Brothers and sisters, continue to think about what is good and worthy of praise. Think about what is true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.
I’ve discovered the Spray & Play hairspray. I looooooove it. I expect them to discontinue it, since I’ve spent a long time looking for something that has the hold I like and a great smell. ha
Thanks!!!!
Thank you for all the products you shared. In 2021, I lost my husband of 51 years, had Covid (again in 2022), and had rotator cuff surgery. With all the stress I lost an incredible amount of my hair and have taken Collagen tablets and use biotin shampoo. It is slowly growing back and thickening, just taking time.
Gayle, that is a lot of stress on your body in a very short period of time. I am not surprised that you lost a lot of hair. I’m glad to hear that it is starting to thicken back up, it will take time, your body needs to heal.
Covid made me lose TONS of hair. Also made it dry and brittle. Took months for it to grow back out.
I’ve heard so many people say that. Hope it’s all good now.
I use that root cover up in between hair appointments. Works great, but make sure you don’t get it on your clothes. I put an old towel over my shoulders and then spray.
Tania – I just went to see a dermatologist for my thinning hair. While I was there, she noticed a melanoma spot on my leg I’d never thought twice about. You can bet that I’ll including the dermatologist in my annual check ups!
Thanks for all the great options. I can’t wait to try that detangling brush. Have a super day!
I was another one that was in the sun too much when I was younger with no sunscreen. Every 6 months for me since I had cancer on my nose. USE SUNSCREEN!!!
Thanks for recommending these great products. I am ordering several through your link right now! I really appreciate the daily blog!
The code is now active and should be working, but if you have any trouble, be sure to let me know.
Definitely need help in this area! Lots of fine hair – need that volume! Thanks Tania.
Love the hair products recommendations! I have used the WOW product and it does help to keep the frizzes at bay.
Thanks for recommending other product that I will try.
Thanks for letting others know your experience. 🥰
The silkie set has been a big hit within our family. Awesome product.
My hair isn’t really long enough for them, but I do sleep in a satin or silk pillow.
Thank you for today’s post, at 67, I’m losing hair and have recently considered Nutrafol. I’m now convinced to give it a try.
I saw another commenter mention that it takes a while to see results, so don’t give up on the product. She said she has been using it a year and the before and after photos show a big difference.
Thanks for these products ! I have the wow in my cabinet and I need to try it again . I am always in search of how to keep my shorter flyaways calmed down.
I love that product! 🙂
Great items!
Well, opening this e-mail ended coasting me $$, I ordered products I didn’t even think I needed 😉
I’m sure I’ll love them.
I hope you do! Personally, I don’t think you can ever have too many hair products. 🙂
I put the silk scrunchies on my wishlist. I’m getting obsessed with silk. I ordered a silk pillowcase and I love it. You may have shown it in one of your posts in the past. I’m not on the lookout for a real silk tank. Thanks for this list of hair products. My aging hair needs a lot of help. I love the volume on your hair. I’d like to know how you style.
One thing people neglect to think about is the water they are washing their hair in (hard/soft water), can make a huge difference, can even effect the coloring of your gray hair, a purple shampoo helps!
Several years ago I made an appt w/ a dermatologist just to keep my husband from canceling his. Long story short…the tiny little black dot on my thigh was melanoma and had to have surgery to cut it out. Make the appt and when you’re there, make the next one and never never change it!
I’m so glad you made that appointment and that you’re okay! ❤️
I love the WOW product. I’ve been wanting to try the Kenra heat protectant. Thanks for all the great suggestions!
You’re welcome, Danette. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
I have been using Hair Biology products that you have recommended many times and love them. I wish I could afford that lovely hair dryer. Just not in this girl’s budget. Very nice products.
Yeah, I love Hair Biology to! Glad you find it works for you. ❤️
I just ordered the Zuvi Halo dryer! I really like all Kenra products as well. Thank you for providing a discount code for the hair dryer.
Yay, I hope you love it like I do! 🙂
Great one. I have always liked the Color Wow products and funny I just ordered a scalp massage deal this past week.
I was wondering have you ever tried other spray root brands? I would like to find one that isn’t so sticky. It is really hard to find good blond ones.
Deanne, I have tried others, but they always left my hair feeling gooey.
Great tips. I have a hair scalp massager and I use the Root Coverup between salon visits.
Thanks for the hair post!!! The wow spray is in my cart. Hopefully it will keep my blow out from frizzing up in this heat.
The WOW hair product looks like it might be worth a try
I am getting the Marc Anthony grow long product. My hair is so fine and fragile and this product sounds like it could help!
I didn’t realize I needed special products for “aging” hair!
Thank you for the recommendations, I have been looking for a heat protectant!
I’ve been using this one for over a year!
I, too, use the Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray. It does help protect the hair from the heat of the blow dryer. I normally follow with the Kenra 25 hold hairspray to prevent my hair from going flat or frizzing in this KY heat and humidity.
Great article!
GURLLLLLL!!! I am not going to lie, I was getting testy with you! I thought you had abandoned your daily posts to just amazon lists!!! Then today…..I scrolled down!!! I have been doing nothing but closing out your emails for at least a week now because I thought it was JUST the amazon lists. Don’t get me wrong, I have purchased a few things from them, but I missed your try ons and showing us how things fit.
So glad I took a stroll down the page today!!! 😛
Krista, that is too funny! You’ve got to learn to SCROLL down all my content. I put a lot of goodies at the bottom of my blog and email!!!
YES Ladies–we all need a good Dermatologist to be screened annually! Thanks for bringing this up!
I was wondering if the Nutrafol really helps with thickening and hair growth in more mature women. Also do biotin shampoos and conditioners work?
Susan, I think everyone is different. So, what works for me or you, might not work for someone else. You have to try (and give the products time to work) different things and see what is best for you. I’ve been buying Nutrafol for my daughter, and one of my best friends swears by it. I’ve never used the biotin shampoos and conditioners. I’ve taken Biotin for my nails, but it interferes with my Thyroid medicine, so I stopped.
Yes for going to the dermatologist on a regular basis! And yes for taking care of our hair. Good products!
Has anyone tried Nutrafol for Women? I would be interested to hear if it works and what your thoughts are about it.
Lori, I buy it for my daughter, and one of my best friends uses it all the time, but I’ve not tried it.
I have baby fine hair so I’m always on the lookout for the perfect volumizing products.
The detangling brush sounds like a good idea.
Great tips! Hair dryers have come so far! Love the Kenra line. It’s worth the money.
thank you for sharing!
Thank you for writing about hair care. We have just moved to eastern Tennessee and I am trying desperately to find hair products that help with my giant mess of frizzy hair. I had no idea that my hair could even poof this much! And, I had no idea that my makeup could even melt this fast. It is a learning curve for sure!
Anti-aging for hair? Mind blown!
Geat post! I started using a scalp massager recently and love it. Will try the shampoo for hair growth. Thank you for the recommendations.
Tania I have a question I’m over fifty and my hair is naturally curly and I wanna go short but if they do layers it looks chopped if they go to short I look like I have a helmet my head because my hair will curl up. please help . It’s funny I was think7ng about my hair before you posted this and it was on point because I feel I’ve outgrown the ling hair thanks Linda PS this was my favorite post.
I understand your issue. Curly hair is popular right now, but your hairdresser needs to know how to cut it for you so that you don’t end up with a helmet head. You will probably need to keep it really short so that it doesn’t add volume, or let it grow out so that it weighs down the curls.
Which other products in this reading do you use? I can tell you use the WOW product but I was curious if you have tried the others?
I use the Lanza, the Kenra, Wow, Big Sexy hairspray, and I have a scalp massager and a detangler brush, but they aren’t the ones in the post. They are old. I don’t have thin hair, so I don’t use Nutrafol or Divi, but I bought both of those for my daughters who struggles with that issue.
I use the hair biology line from Target that you had mentioned on another post and love it! Thanks for all the products you test for us to help stay youthful and combat growing older!
Thanks for commenting! 🙂
Great post, I am always looking for other great products that I don’t know about. You keep us updated on our products. Thanks
Thank you for commenting. ❤️
Sooo many choices! Admittedly, I am a creature of habit and stick with the same brands forever. Thank you for showcasing some new products!
Tania, I take medication that causes hair loss and dries my hair. I have used Lanza Healing oil and love it for taming my flyaways and adding moisture to my dry hair. I am excited to try the Lanza Healing Volume since I have lost so much of my volume.
This helps a lot with age I have thinning hair. Looking forward to new helpful products.
I am glad that you found this post helpful. Thanks for commenting. ❤️
Tania, any suggestions for hair products for those of us with gray hair? I stopped coloring my hair during the pandemic and love my gray. I have been using “purple” products searching for some that I would just love! Hasn’t happened yet!
Thanks!
Ps: love the pointy shoes!
I use Hair Biology. I’ve tried other purple shampoos, and I prefer Hair Biology over them all.
Thank you for the info on hair products
Good morning Tanya. I have to share with you my experience with Nutrafol. I’m I’m my late 50’s and my hair was getting thin after menopause. I saw a television ad for the supplement so I pulled up the website. I like the fact that they tell you this will not be a quick turnaround. They specifically say you have to take it at least six months. The before & after pictures are such a help. Well my experience has born that out; I’ve been using the supplement for more than a year & it has helped tremendously. Although it is not inexpensive, it’s so worth the money.🙂
Rita, thanks for giving everyone your experience. Most people expect a miracle drug with quick results, and they don’t give the products time to work.
Great ideas
I use some of these products already. I am excited to try some new ones as well.
I so agree with the use of primers
A makeup changer
Thank you
How about some more shampoos and conditioners?
Kelly, I use Hair Biology. I use the Purple line for blonde and gray hair, but they have other lines. They are specially formulated for aging hair.
the purple shampoo says silver but not blonde. is it the same thing?
Krista, the purple shampoo keeps blonde hair from looking brassy, so that is why I use it.
