August Amazon Monthly Round Up
Can you believe we’re already heading into the -ber months? That’s right—September, October, November, and December! This year is flying by. I always have a lot of fun sampling new fashions from Amazon, and the month of August was no exception. From dresses you can wear now to the shoes and sweaters you’ll be reaching for all fall long, this monthly round up is full of lots of great finds that I’ve tried and styled just for you!
August Amazon Monthly Round Up
Usually, I list the items as I come to them and not in any specific order. However, today, I wanted to list your Top 5 most ordered items.
1. Dr. Scholl’s Loafers

Speaking of loafers, you’ll see a lot of them this fall. It’s okay if you don’t love the chunky platform versions because there are all sorts of styles available. This pair from Dr. Scholl reminds me of a ballet flat mixed with a loafer. They are seriously so soft and comfortable, and the light tan color is perfect to wear with all your fall clothing.
2. Chain Loafer

We’ve been talking a lot about shoe trends for the fall. One type of shoe I’m seeing a lot of is platform loafers, which are a fun twist on the classic loafer. This style of shoes is a little out of the box for me, but I did try this pair last year and liked them with the right pair of denim.
3. Leopard Print Button Down

After learning that leopard print was trending this season, I knew I needed to be on the hunt for a few pieces to add to my closet. I love a good button-down top because of their versatility, and this lantern sleeve one will look great dressed up or down for fall. I will also look cute tied at the waist with a high-waisted skirt or over a dress. Don’t worry… if you don’t love leopard print, you can grab it in over 20 colors and prints!
4. Short Sleeve Cable Knit Sweater

I own this short sleeve cable knit in another color, but I love it so much that I couldn’t resist adding the rust red to my cart! I think it looks so much more expensive than it is. Plus, it has held up well with washing and drying. This is a great transition piece you can start wearing now if you’re itching to pull out your fall colors and textures since the short sleeves will keep you cool and comfy.
5. Striped Cardigan Sweater

This striped cardigan is a cozy, lightweight option for cooler weather, made from soft, stretchy fabric. It reminds me of the lady jacket trend we talked about last year. It’s easy to pair with jeans or a dress for any occasion, from casual days to more polished looks. I paired it with this genuine suede leather tote bag by Fossil, which is a great medium size and perfect for carrying all your essentials.
French Country – Blue & White

You might have seen me wearing this dress in this post, where I talked about How To Rock The Blue And White Fashion Trend. You WILL get noticed in this dress since it is a show-stopper! I love the gorgeous print, and how the dress flows away from your body under the bodice. I want to warn you that you can’t wear a normal bra with this dress. I’m wearing silicone covers, which work great, but I wanted to point out the issue.

If you visit that post, you’ll also see this adorable blue and white Floral Ruffle Maxi Skirt. I love the gorgeous skirt, and it fits me great. This one has a large ruffle scalloped hem, and the rest of the skirt body is straight.
I added a white Pleated High Neck Top to the skirt. The top is pretty long, so I had to tuck it in. I like the pleats on the top, which give it some visual interest and keep it from being so plain.

The Eyelet Lace Blouse is so pretty, but it is very thin. You will need to wear a nude cami or tank since the top is thin and you can see through the eyelet. This top would look great with a pair of jeans for an elevated casual look.
I paired it with this stunning French Country floral print skirt. You could easily dress this skirt up or down, and I think it would look great with a tank top and a denim jacket. If you’re embracing the “western wear” trend we’ve been talking about, I even think it would be darling with a pair of cowboy boots!
Sneakers & Slingbacks

I know you gurls love Vionic shoes as much as I do! They really have figured out the art of making a comfortable shoe. Their Lightweight Slingback Flats are perfect for wearing now while the weather is hot and then throughout the fall. They are ballet flats and a slingback shoe combined with a colorblock toe. I think they instantly add a polished look to any outfit you add them to!

I was so excited to open this pair of New Balances, but unfortunately, they didn’t fit me properly. I’ve never been so sad to send back a pair of shoes. The size wasn’t the issue, but the width of the toe box was. Everyone’s feet are different shapes and sizes, so don’t let this stop you from trying them for yourself!
Fall Sweaters and Cardigans

This Knit Cardigan Sweater is perfect for those crisp, cool mornings and evenings when you need extra warmth. It’s super soft and lightweight, making it easy to layer over your favorite outfits without feeling too heavy. Whether you’re lounging around or heading out, this cardigan adds a cozy, stylish touch with its relaxed fit and cute details like buttons and ribbed cuffs. Plus, it comes in a bunch of great colors, so you’re sure to find one that fits right into your fall wardrobe. It’s definitely a piece you’ll reach for again and again!

This red button-down shirt is super light and perfect for everyday wear. You can wear it loose, tucked, or tie it in a knot. I’m wearing a large, but I’d probably size down to a medium since it’s so roomy. It has short sleeves, a collared neckline, and two chest pockets, making it stylish and practical. It looks great with jeans, and it’s perfect for work, casual days, or even a casual lunch date. It is easy to care for, too. Just wash in cold water, keep dark colors separate, and hang to dry.

This pink and orange striped sweater is extremely cute, and it comes in several different colors. I’m wearing a large, and it has that oversized vibe. Even though the description says it’s cropped, it’s not cropped on me. I’m 5’6″ for reference. You can pair it with jeans like me, or even a dress. It will be great for layering in fall and winter, spring, or a cool summer evening.

I love this sweater loungewear set! The medium fits me just right. It’s made from soft fabric that feels amazing. This set consists of a button-down sweater cardigan with batwing sleeves and wide-leg pants with an elastic waistband. You can wear the pieces together or mix them with other items in your closet. Pair it with heels for a dressed-up look or sneakers for a more casual vibe. It’s machine washable, too. Just use a gentle cycle with cold water.

This cardigan’s fall floral pattern adds a feminine touch to any outfit. It pairs effortlessly with jeans, leggings, or even dresses, making it a versatile piece for both casual days and more dressed-up occasions. A great addition to brighten up your wardrobe!

I ordered the Floral V-Neck Cardigan as well as the t-shirt from the inspiration outfit! Welcome fall!! lol (And, no, I haven’t started actually shopping for Christmas yet – thinking, but not shopping.)
Nope, haven’t started Christmas shopping yet but we have a small family. Happy (almost) Autumn! 🎃🍁
I am hoping you remember this – a month or two ago you showed a really pretty embroidered pillow – I think it was on your bed. Can you send me the link to that, if you can? Thanks so much
Of, course I remember the pillow. Here is the link: https://bit.ly/3Z55BdH
Yes, I have already been shopping for Christmas! On a limited income, you have to shop year round and then it’s hard since my oldest granddaughter is now into expensive trends.
I love them especially the blue and white sun dress.
Such cute styles and you wear them well. No Christmas shopping here yet – have a 16th birthday coming up this month of one of my granddaughters that has been my focus. What in the world do you get teenagers these days? I know you have a mini me and mention shopping for her. Fun and scary all at the same time.
Oh, goodness. When it comes to a teenager, I rely on the parents to tell me what they want.
With 7 grandchildren, I begin shopping the week after Christmas. The sales are great and I store in my guest room. It also helps when a birthday gift is needed during the year. Also, I started buying socks for my nieces and nephews when they were tots, now with tots of their own and lots of sock designs to choose from, its fun to shop all year! Practical gifts for my parents who are 85, that shopping starts after Halloween. Pumpkins in the garden need to turn orange, before I am ready to decorate for Fall.
Love the color and fit of the short sleeve sweater. I believe it will find its way into my shopping cart.
Like others in the group, where I live won’t really have consistently cooler temps before mid October, at the earliest. Because Fall and Winter are my most favorite seasons, I wish the hot and humid air would vacate now. While I have not started my Christmas shopping yet, I will very soon, even though we just have a handful of people to buy for. As I read this post, I saw a few things that I did not look into before, so I will be now. I did order the pullover collared sweater and I like it. Have a fabulous day!
I have started my Christmas shopping. I agree with other comments that it gives you more time in December to enjoy the season and lowers stress.
I will do early fall decorating tomorrow, but i don’t put pumpkins out until October. It is always so hot here in North Texas area so i just can’t do it 🤪
