I thoroughly enjoyed my quiet at-home day yesterday. It still ended up being busy since I did some meal prepping and took several outfit photos. Today, I decided to style an outfit that just arrived a couple of days ago. I am sure that most of you have seen the puff sleeve tops everywhere this year, so I decided to show you one that could be worn for early fall.

I know the temperatures are crazily different depending upon where you live. In Virginia, the mornings are around the high 50s to low 60s, and the highs for the day are in the upper 70s to low 80s. It isn’t exactly jacket weather yet, but a sweater does feel good in the mornings when I take Lucy Lu out for her morning business.

My friend, Jennifer, from A Well Styled Life, showed her temperatures yesterday, and it read 104! Holy Crap, that is suffocating, and I wouldn’t be venturing outside until the sun went down. Because everyone’s weather varies so much, I like to show you how to look still fallish when the weather didn’t get the memo.

As I mentioned, I just got this puff sleeve blouse this past week, but I will already tell you that it is completely sold out. I would have completely thrown out these photos, but I waited until 9:00 pm to start and didn’t have time to change plans. So, instead of going on and on about this top, I’ll just see if I can find some similar puff sleeve tops. This top is by Wit & Wisdom, and I am wearing a large, which fits great.

These jeans are a miss for me. I don’t really care for the color, and I think that it looked different online. However, the price is amazing and is less than $32.00, so they have that going for them. Also, I liked the raw hemline of the jeans, but that was about it. The pair that I have on are K Sky Blue, and I am wearing a large.

The backside of the pants doesn’t look bad, though. Maybe I could walk around backward that whole day. Lol!

This handbag is by Calvin Klein, and it is made from Vegan leather. I am not sure what it is made from, but I know it isn’t real leather. I do like the color of this handbag, and the size is great. If you have chosen not to buy leather products, then this handbag is a great find.

My Michael Kors loafers are an old pair that I’ve had for quite some time. These are by Michael Kors, and I have found them to be very comfortable walking for long periods of time. They run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 9.

I love the puff sleeves; just a little something different!

  2. I think of pale blue jeans as “Summer” jeans so I would just keep them until next Summer. Took me all Summer to get a pair that fit me so next Summer I am ready….they will be waiting where I have them tucked away. Now it is on to dark navy jeans for Fall.
Hoping now that Labour Day has passed that you and the Fab 4 will do some more Friday live discussions 🙂

  3. I like the puffed sleeve look as long as the sleeves are only slightly puffy as your top is. It’s a great color on you. Very nice casual outfit.

  4. Sue Quinn says:

The puff sleeve looks great on you. I like a small puff, but I really don’t like big puffs or big ruffles.

Good afternoon Tania! Technical issues kept me from commenting this morning, after I read your post. While I do like puff sleeves, those that are over exaggerated are not for me. I think you look very nice in your outfit.

  6. Hi, Tania! I like this puff-sleeved blouse on you, but I have broad shoulders so it’s not my best look!

  7. I don’t buy puff sleeves because you can’t layer them. I like the look on me because I have small shoulders but I also have a small budget so sticking to basics.
You look really cute in yours.

  8. The top looks good on you! I’m not a fan of puffed sleeves yet. I guess they’ll have to grow on me. Lol.

  9. Lots of choices in this post. I love it!
I’m not a big fan of the puff sleeves. I don’t think it’s a good look for broad shoulders. It seems like a very feminine style too. If the puffs are subtle I like them better. I did buy one short sleeved puff blouse from Nordstrom’s this summer and I really like it.
As with all trends, I guess it’s just personal taste.
Love your shoes and the ones you link to. Very attractive.

  10. I am not a fan of puff sleeved tops or the pilgrim collar trend we are seeing this fall. Been there done that and got the award as they say. I do like the color of the top and think it could be worn in spring or early fall so it’s cost per wear would be worth the purchase if you liked the style.

  11. Love these jeans on you they look fabulous 😊

    1. Thanks, Karen. I appreciate your comment.

  12. MARY WISE says:

Not a fan of puffed sleeves for me. Cute on you.

    1. I like the look of the puffed sleeve, but I am always worried if they would work under a jacket or cardigan. So, no huge puffs for me, but the small ones work to keep me looking modern.

  13. I like that your fashion style is current and cute/stylish but not too way out for a 60-is-not-old-follower! And I appreciate the Bible verse at the end of the posts. And FYI here in Houston our LOW temps are in the mid to upper 80s at night so those fall sweaters are being enjoyed via the Internet and not out of storage yet!!!!

    1. Mary Ann, I knew that you Texas gurls wouldn’t be rockin the sweaters just yet. Lol!
