Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a white Marilyn Monroe tee with white skinny jeansThe other day, someone commented on the blog that they would love to see me do TWO try-on sessions a week. Well, this week, they are going to get their wish. I bought sooooooo much stuff from Loft and the Loft Outlet that I couldn’t fit it all in one post. So, today you will see part one, and then I’ll probably do part 2 on Thursday. BTW, those who like videos instead of photos, you will find them at the bottom of this post.

Today, I am bringing you spring clothing from Loft, and I think that you’ll enjoy all of the looks. Also, I think that most of the items are on sale, so that is a big plus! The first look is the chewed hem white skinny jeans. These jeans feel great when you are wearing them. They hold you in, but they don’t feel like you can’t breathe. I am wearing my usual size 10, and I love the way these fit.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing white skinny jeansSorry for the poor quality of the photos, I am working on getting a place where I can take my try-on photos, but it will be a while before it gets done. I wanted you to see where these hit on the ankle. They call these a crop, but I am calling them ankle length. You will find yourself reaching for this pair all spring and summer. They are excellent quality, and you can’t see through them. They also have a modern style that looks fresh and updated. Here is the link to the jeans.Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a pale blue sweater with white skinny jeans I decided to leave my white jeans on since they looked great with the next few items. This beautiful baby blue sweater is perfect for transitioning into spring. It looks like spring, but it has long sleeves to keep you warm during the cooler periods. The sweater has a softly rounded neckline, and it has ribbing around the hem and cuffs. This sweater fits me great, and I am wearing a size medium which is my usual size to wear from Loft.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a pale blue sweater with white embroidered flowersI wanted you to be able to see the design on the sweater. It is white blossoms, and these are embroidered, not screen printed. Also, notice that the design carries over to the left arm. The sweater hits at hip length, and it is made from 100% cotton. It is machine washable, and I would lay it flat to dry. Here is the link to the floral sweater.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a pale blue bobble sweater with white skinny jeansThis sweater is almost the same pretty blue color, but the style is way different. The design of this sweater is called a Bobble design. It is like puffed dots all over the sweater, which is very different. The sleeves have the puff shoulder look at the top, and then again at the cuffs. The cuffs are extra-wide, and the entire sleeve has a romantic feel.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a blue sweater with white skinny jeansI am wearing a medium in this sweater, but it fits differently than the sweater above. It is tighter, and I would probably want to size up. Like the sweater above, it hits at the hips, and it is machine washable. However, they must have sold out of this color already; a light gray is the other color available in this sweater. Here is the link to the Bobble sweater.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a navy blue sweater with white skinny jeansThis navy tee is so cute and different. The top is called a tee, but it is not a t-shirt cotton material. It is more like a thick crepe material; it feels more expensive than a regular t-shirt. The puff sleeve is what makes this top! Puff sleeves are everywhere this spring, and it makes the top look very modern and stylish.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a navy blue sweater with puff sleeves from LoftThe top not only puffs at the shoulder; it also has a twist at the bottom. The neckline is a wide boatneck style, and that is a design that is flattering unless you have wide shoulders. I like this solid-colored top because it will go with almost anything. You can see that this looks great with white, but it would also go great with jeans, shorts, and skirts. Here is the link to this top, and I’ll show you a couple of other puff sleeves below.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a bright blue floral top with white skinny jeansHow cute is this bright blue azure top? I think this top skipped spring and went straight to summer instead. This is a flowy top that looks like you are ready for a vacation. I love the almost peplum feel to the top since it has a ruffle(ish) bottom.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a bright blue floral top with metallic stripesAlso, it has a metallic shimmer stripe that runs through the design. There is almost a boho vibe to the top, especially with the ties at the neckline. I am wearing my usual size medium, and you can see that this doesn’t fit tight anywhere. The top is also machine washable, and here is the link.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a floral tank top with white skinny jeansI am a fan of a deep v-neck top. I think that it is the most flattering neckline for me because it elongates my neck. The shell top is perfect for any time of the year since it can be worn with a cardigan or blazer even in the winter. Because it is sleeveless, you would experience bunching in the sleeves of the cardigan or blazer. In fact, the try-on session that I did last week from Old Navy (here) had a pink cardigan that would probably look great with this top.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a Spring floral tank top with white skinny jeans from LoftThis top is flowy, and I love the material. I was confused when I read that this was called a mixed-media top. The print is the same in the back as it is in the front. However, the front of the top is more silky and flowy, and the back of the top is softer and like a knit. I love how it feels when you are wearing the top. I am wearing my usual size medium, and it fits me perfectly.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a black ruched dressOh my! I love this dress!!! I am always in search of the perfect little black dress, and this one is sure close to being perfect. Black can sometimes be harsh and somber-looking. But, I love the flirty look of this dress and how it looks stylish at the same time. The dress has a round neckline and short sleeves with a flounce hemline.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a black ruched dress from LoftBut, it is the ruching the pulls to one side that makes this dress. This tiny bit of ruching hides a lot of imperfections in the tummy region. I almost didn’t order this dress because it looked short on the model. I am 5’6″ tall, and this hits me right above the knee. That model must be 6’0″ tall for the dress to look that short. I am wearing my usual size 12 in the dress, and it fits great!!! Here is the link to the dress.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a floral sweater with skinny jeansThis is the last item that I am showing you today; the rest will be in the next post. The pretty floral design in this sweater reminds me of cherry blossoms, although I am not sure why. It is a beautiful sweater, with an off white contrasting neckline, cuffs, and hem.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a pink floral sweater This sweater fits tighter than some of the others, and I would suggest sizing up if you are between sizes. I am wearing a medium, but I would be more comfortable in a large. If something fits me too tight, then I am self-conscious. Also, the sweater is a little shorter than the others, and it doesn’t quite hit me mid-hip.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a floral sweater with embroidered centersI wanted to show you that the centers of some of the flowers have embroidered centers. This sweater is 100% cotton and can be machine washed. Here is the link to the sweater.

I know that I didn’t do a great job with all of the details, but you can check out the videos for more info. The first video features the first 4 items in this post, see below.

And this video has the last 4 items in the post.

  3. I bought the little black dress and love it! It’s a great deal at $32.00 since I paid $48.00 for it! Love your try on sessions. This one was lovely with the soft fabrics and colors. Thank you!

Love the clothes! Your hair looks great this longer length.

  5. Thank you for doing a Loft try on. The floral blue top looks so nice on you, bright colors like that really make the skin look good:) Those white jeans are perfect! The baby blue sweater with flowers on the side is very pretty on you. I totally agree about v necks and elongating the neck. I’m not digging the cherry blossom sweater. The dress looks fabulous, I wonder though is the material thin or does it seem like it would cover an out of shape backside like mine? 🙂 I really wish retailers would hire regular, everyday women to model their clothes, I get so much more information on how it would look on me, an average, everyday woman:) thank you!

    1. The cherry blossom sweater wasn’t my favorite either. I didn’t like the neckline, and I would have liked it better if the color had been white instead of off-white. The dress is not thin at all. I really like the dress, and I plan on wearing it to an event in April if I go.

  6. Loft is one of my all-time favorite stores to shop at. I have been eyeing the chewed hem jeans and they are now $20 off, so I just might have to place an order.

    1. I bought these in the denim color and the white. They are so cute.
