A CROSS BETWEEN A BAD GIRL AND A FASHIONISTA
I hope you all liked the Mother’s Day gift guide that I did yesterday. It is funny; you would think that a gift guide post would be easier than putting on clothes, taking a picture and editing it, then uploading it, and then finally telling you all of the details about the items. NOPE! Clothing posts are easier for me than going shopping ones. Maybe it is because I am so used to doing the clothing ones. Anyway, I thought that I would share with all of you what Joe bought me for Mother’s Day.
I’ve told you all that Joe has really been into eating at home lately. He loves the fact that we eat at home every night, so he decided to but me some cookware. Hmmm, I am not sure that is much of a gift for “me,” but I’ll let you be the judge. For some reason, Joe has been looking at this cookware set for months. But it was so expensive that he wouldn’t buy it. Then, he found a set of 3 pans and lids that had been a display set for 1/3 of the price of the normal price, so he ordered it in. It is really nice if you like cookware. Lol!
I love how he pulled a trick over on me this morning. He said, “hey, do you think that the new cookware will be easy to cook with?” I said that it looked nice, so I figured it would. “So, why don’t you go ahead and fix me some pancakes and try it out?” Okay, I had to laugh at him then. He knew that I couldn’t resist trying out the new cookware, and he got his pancakes without HIM having to cook them. Lol! Here is the cookware if you want to check it out. Let me know if any of you have this and what you think about it.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you might have seen me wearing this outfit. This sleeveless leopard print top is so cute! I love the ruffles around the neck that you can tie or leave open as I have here. The blouse is lined, and it is machine washable. I love this top, but I bought the large, and it is a little too big for me. The medium would have been a better fit. The top is under 20.00, and here is the link.
This cute cork clutch is perfect for this summer. It has a long gold chain that you can use if you want the bag to be an over the shoulder or a crossbody bag. My favorite part about the purse is the metallic gold flakes that shine when you carry the bag. Those are really eyecatching and look very expensive. However, since the clutch is only $20.50, I wouldn’t exactly call it expensive. Lol! Here is the link to the bag.
I am sure that you have all heard of an “IT” bag. That is what they call the bag that everyone wants to carry each year, and they are usually hard to find. Well, these sandals are the “IT” shoe of the year. They are surprisingly comfortable; I honestly didn’t think that they would be. I am not usually a fan of shoes that go around the ankle because they tug while you try to walk. But, I didn’t notice these doing that, so maybe they have some stretch to the material. These shoes are a cross between “bad-girl” and “fashionista.” These studs have been associated with Valentino, so that is where the fashionista part comes in. I am wearing my usual size 9, and I think that they fit me well. Here is the link to these sandals.
Everybody needs black ankle pants! Or, if you are like me, you might need four pairs of black ankle pants. Lol! I just keep finding all kinds of cute black ankle pants, and they are all so affordable that I buy another pair. This pair is from back in December, and even though they are less than $15.00, I find myself wearing them all of the time. They are lightweight and have enough stretch to make them comfortable. I am wearing a size 10, my usual size, and I think that they fit me great. Here is the link to these pants.
Yesterday one of my Instagram readers said that she loved seeing how I shared about the things that I loved. She said that she loved hearing me talk about my family, my clothing and jewelry, and also my R+F business. She said that she could tell that I truly loved doing the blog and sharing my crazy life and family. Then, she gave me a huge compliment; she said that she never felt like I was dishonest or just being “salesy.”
I hope she’s right. Truth is Rodan + Fields is something that I love, and I love sharing the products, and especially the business with everyone! I never know who might need a supplemental income, a Plan B strategy, especially in uncertain times. I never want to be a salesperson; my role is to simply invite and share!

17Â I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.
Your hair and nails look great through this pandemic! We are still shut down here in Mississippi and can’t wait for beauty and nail salons to reopen!
Most blogs I follow, and bless their little hearts, but $200 for a little clutch is not affordable. When you say it’s affordable, it is. Face it. You are one of us. LOL
That looks like great cookware. I bought a set of salad master right after we got married in 1972.. I’m still using it every day. They were sold at home parties where the salesman cooked us all up a meal. : )
I got a set of cookware for Christmas once. Oddly, I loved it! Cute outfit today. Especially the shoes. I’m sure glad you shared R+F with me.
I love this outfit!
Love this outfit, too! And the cookware. I used to want only personal things like jewelry but when you have everything you want, you love the things that please him, too…like cooking pancakes! My husband likes to eat out but we have enjoyed being at home every night. Sometimes I cook and sometimes take out! But I do miss the fun and sociability of being in our great restaurants! And I concur totally with your fans’ comment on your realness.
You look great!! Love this outfit!!❤️
Thanks!!!
Maybe I’m an idiot but I find it very hard to find the links to the items you feature in your posts. To me the little blue text doesn’t stand out enough. Im too busy readying about your daily adventures I miss the links totally. Would it be possible for you to add an additional list of the links for items featured in your post at the end of each post? It would definitely make my shopping easier. Thanks!
Love this look but couldn’t find the Link for the pants in either post.
Donna, you are not an idiot! The links so up great on my end, but I’ve noticed that they are faint when the blog goes live. SOOOO, I am looking at a new blog layout that will have the “SHOP THE POST” easily visible.
love the shoes, I have something similar in a heel.
I thought they were cute.
Haha, Joe is a clever guy! Love that top, Leopard never goes out of style! Have a great weekend!
I agree that leopard never goes out of style, but I am not too sure about Joe being clever. Lol!
Those pants are $3 now, and I can’t get them in to my cart!!!!!!!
WHAT! They were 14.00 last night. They might be an in-store pickup only for you.
In certain sizes they are $3.00 – so tempting.
Boy it’s amazing how alike our husbands are! Marvin had been eyeing the same set for quite a few months and finally bought them when they went on sale at Costco. They still need butter when cooking eggs but are great for most everything else. BUT they don’t work so great for pancakes. He thinks they don’t get brown or cooked through enough but i think they turn out just fine in a dry pan. You can abuse them but we like to wash by hand and use plastic or wood utensils. Have fun! Loved that bright pink duster…in my cart now?
Monika, so far I am loving the pans. I thought they did a great job on the pancakes! You will love that duster.
