Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a neutral sweater with gold jewelry from Kendra Scott and a pair of Leopard Print drawstring pants Congratulations everyone! We made it to Saturday, and we survived April! I don’t know what it is about April, but it seems to be the month that if it can go wrong, it will go wrong. Several years ago, when I have first joined Rodan + Fields, they decided to do an update to their website. We were launching into a Australia, and that meant that the website needed to be able to do more than one currency, etc.

But, the three days turned into almost the entire month of April. It was a disaster, and in the end, the new website plans were scraped, and the old website was forced back into action. If you mention Aprilgeddon to someone who has been in R+F for a while, they know exactly what you are talking about. Now, we all have our own Aprilgeddon, or maybe we have our own 2020geddon. When 2020 first rolled around as the year of VISION, I had high hopes and expectations. Whew! Now I just want to survive 2020!

I have been wearing lots of solids, lots of black, lots of white, and lots of beige. I think it is a way of showing you how to extend your wardrobe by using basics and colors that will go with anything. These pants don’t fit into that category, but I have a plan on how to show you three different looks for wearing these to get the most wears from any printed pant or legging.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a neutral sweater and gold jewelry from Kendra Scott I shopped my closet this morning for a neutral top. This sweater is one that I’ve loved and worn a lot, and it is from Loft. I saw a similar linen tee when I was shopping on Loft the other day, and I fooled around and didn’t buy it. I am kicking myself this morning since my size is sold out, but maybe some of you can grab it, so I’ll link it for you. (HERE)

The leopard print pants are not your normal pair of pants. These are certainly eye-catching, and they are pretty versatile. I challenged myself to wear these in an everyday look like I have today, and in a few days, you’ll see these in a dressy and a casual look also. They have a drawstring waist and are a linen/cotton blend. I love anything with linen, especially in the summer months. They run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 10. Here is the link to the pants.

Holy smoke, these things are cute! I honestly wasn’t wowed by them on the website, but when I got them in, I was thrilled. I love the neutral colors and how they are two-toned. The thick top strap is a blush color, and the strap across the toes is white. They are a platform wedge espadrille, and they just scream summer!!! Also, they scream, “UNDER 25.00!!! Lol! I am wearing my usual size 9, and they sit perfectly. Here is the link to the shoes, and they also come in other colors.

I just bought the Elle drop earrings in Ivory Mother of Pearl and the Elisa Gold Triple Strand necklace. I love both of these purchases, and I have found that I really like layering the Elisa necklace with the Rue Long gold necklace.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a beige sweater with gold jewelry from Kendra Scott, a pair of Leopard Print drawstring pants, and espadrille sandals At Christmas time, I saw that Amazon had a sale on the Dyson hairdryer. It was a great sale, and it was 100.00 off of the normal retail price. I put it in my Amazon cart, but I couldn’t make myself buy it. A couple of days later, Joe saw the hairdryer in the cart and said, “Tania, you are not thinking about paying 300.00 for a hairdryer, are you???” I tried explaining to him that the price was 100.00 less than usual, but he was not buying it. “If you buy a 300.00 hairdryer, you are crazy!” Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is hugging a Dyson hairdryer Guess what came in the mail today? Lol! Before you start worrying about my sanity, or my health when Joe sees this hairdryer in my bathroom, I will set your mind at ease. I am not crazy, and I did not pay 400.00 or even the 300.00 sale price for this. Instead, this was FREE!!! Yep! You heard me! Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is holding up a rewards card This was an incentive gift from Rodan + Fields! It is funny that I’ve earned a MacBook Air Laptop, an iPhone, several Tiffany bracelets, an Apple Watch, and trips to New Orleans, Los Cabo, and Cancun, and I probably did a happy dance more when I saw this package in the mail. Now you might have to wonder about my sanity.

I joined for the skincare, the discount, and the confidence that comes from having great skin. I have been amazed at the friends that I have made in this business and how much I’ve been able to accomplish in such a short time. There are plenty of people who’ve achieved way more, and plenty who’ve done way less. Since I only joined to get my skincare at the best possible price, to say that I am blown away by this business. This month you can join me at a discounted price. R+F is giving CashBack when you join with a business kit, and I am matching that offer. So you get DOUBLE the CASHBACK!!! (Here) is the link to see all four ways that you can join this business. I already have a call set up early next week, and I would love to chat with you also. Get your questions ready, and I’ll give you the answers!

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

  1. Reading all the comments it looks like I wasn’t the only one who thought your hair looked really good. I find that I am always drawn to blond hairstyles despite having very dark brown hair. (Well, my hair appointment was pushed back a month of course, there may be considerably more white hairs by then!)

  2. I love April!!! I was born In April. In fact even though I was at home this was the best birthday ever!! Thank You Jesus!! Happy 56 to me.

I know I what you mean about 2020 It has been a strange year so far. It’s not that those of us in this community aren’t well provided for and have hopefully escaped the virus. It’s what it has done to our country and economy. It’s changed our way of life and thinking. Maybe some positives, we won’t take our health for granted any more. We might be more grateful for interacting without masks! I do appreciate you posting daily and allowing us to identify with others about what is going on and to drop some cares and girl talk about fashion. Thank you Tania!

  3. I really like your hair, its a cute style. We are certainly looking forward to a better month. God Bless you all and keep safe..we are getting through this and yes it could certainly be a lot worse.

  4. I really love your hair. What about doing a hair tutorial ? I am relativity new on here, so you may have done one before. Thoroughly enjoy your blog. Thank you!

    1. Congrats on reaching your goals and being rewarded with a really useful gift that you also wanted. I hope you love it. I like the blue dress you’re wearing. Can you share where it’s from? Have a wonderful day!

Congrats on the hair dryer. That is so awesome!

I’m new to following you!! You look fabulous. I’m 51 and I don’t know what is my style.

      1. I am not sure what my style is either. It changes like the wind, and I go with it. I wear what makes me happy and makes me feel pretty.

Hey Tania! I love your blog and check it out every day. I’ve also picked up some great tips. I also saw that you were rewarded the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer. I happen to work for Dyson as a national trainer on the Beauty side of the business. Let me recommend that you watch the tutorial videos on the Dyson Hair YouTube channel. This dyer is not like any other and therefore you use it differently. I want you to love it, so please feel free to reach out if you have any question. Enjoy!!

  8. Lori Volner says:

I miss seeing the handbag with your outfit.

  9. I think you’ve been photo bombed by a ghost cat. Look at the second window.
Georgeous shoes and this top is what I look for. It is simple but certainly not plain. The color is great and so versatile. Look really good on you.

    1. I saw her looking out of the window. She is normally an outside cat, but she comes inside to eat.

  10. You look so pretty!!❤️I’ve been thinking about that hairdryer too!!

    1. I used it last night, and here are my thoughts so far. The time before when I dried my hair, I blew it dry without trying to style it in any way. It was frizzy and fuzzy and Joe laughed at me. Last night I did the same thing, but used the Dyson instead. No frizzy and no fuzzy hair. Hmmmm. I am going to have to try that again to make sure that it was not a fluke.

  11. The lighter pink/neutral lipstick looks gorgeous with your coloring.

    1. Thanks, I am still searching for the perfect nude color.

Very very cute outfit. And the shoes are darling.

I’m with you, I had great hopes for 2020 – my 2019 was a rough year. I broke my hip in the interior of the ball socket & was out of commission and in pain for months, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my knees, right hip, both shoulders & lower back. While 2020 hasn’t been great, at least I’ve been more mobile & even with quarantine I’ve been out & about some. I felt like I learned a lot from 2019 & keep asking what will I walk away with learning about myself, my Lord & others from COVID19?

    You have a great weekend!!

    1. Sherli, thanks for the perspective check. Sometimes we think things are going bad, but when you consider how much worse they could get, it makes you pause. Finding things to be grateful for is key!
