How many of you are loving this time? I love it when the time changes, but it does take some getting used to it. I bet that most of us will be tired and sleepy for the rest of this week. So, I am going to start your morning off with a good laugh, so grab your coffee/tea/hot chocolate and get ready to smile.

Friday night, my granddaughter, Emersyn came over to stay with me. She and I cooked Joe’s supper, and she was so proud that she got to help cook. The rest of her family came over later that night, and we all sat around talking. Kayla, her mom, and I started talking about the car that they drive. Joe had asked me earlier in the day what type of car I wanted as my next vehicle. I told him that I thought I wanted a minivan the next time that I bought something.

Kayla and I were talking about the virtues of the minivan, but then she mentioned that she did hate being 28 and driving a minivan. She said that even though it was smart and practical, she wished it was a little sexier looking. I said, but it is smart, and being smart is sexy. She shook her head no and said, “nope, I still want to look sexy.” Then Joe piped up and said how nice the sliding doors were, and she said, “but I still want to look sexy.” This went on for a few minutes, and then Emersyn handed Kayla a note. It read, “Mom, stop saying sekse.” If you need help with that note, she meant, “Mom, stop saying sexy!” Lol! I laughed and laughed at that.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a leopard print top

Speaking of “sekse,” how do you like this top? This is one of the sexiest tops that I have styled in a while. Let’s face it; I don’t style too much “sexy” for the most part. Lol! There is a fine line that you walk when looking sexy, especially if you don’t want to show a lot of skin. However, I like to take a walk on the wild side now and again, and I bet that you do too. This leopard print top (I apologize to those of you who are sick of leopard) has so many unique details!

I love the wide-shirred band at the neckline of the top. You can choose to wear the top off the shoulder, or you can wear it as a boat neck instead if you want. The body of the top is lined, so you don’t have to add a camisole, but the billowy sleeves are sheer. I think the sheerness of the sleeves and the ruffles are what makes this top so unique. It is 100% polyester and can be hand-washed. I am wearing a medium in this top, and it has plenty of room and fits me great. Here is the link to this sekse top.

Imagine that I have on my Maggie LARGE hoop filigree earrings? Lol! I feel like I am constantly wearing these earrings. Well, actually, I feel like I am constantly wearing the earrings, the matching bangle bracelet, and the Fallyn cuff. I am also wearing my watch more and more these days. I still use my phone to tell time sometimes, but I like having a watch on my arm. Maybe it is my age showing, but I like the watch, and it is also a nice accessory. Mine was a gift, but here are a few similar ones if you like wearing watches also.

Here is a good look at the cha-cha-cha ruffles on the sleeves. I was so excited to bring these black-washed skinny jeans to you today. They are a pair by Rachel Parcell, and I love the way that they fit. Plus, they were only 50.00, so I thought that was a great price for a pair of jeans of this quality. But, when I went to link to them, I got the SOLD OUT message. Talk about a bummer. ?

So, it is time to regroup and carry on. So, I went on a search for similar jeans, and I am going to pat myself on the back because I think the jeans below are great and very similar in look, style, and price. You will have to let me know what you think.

My leather belt is still available, and you will love the style of this belt. It has a whipstitch detail along the edges for a relaxed look, so this will look great with anything but dress pants. I also like that it doesn’t have holes as a way to latch the belt. Instead, the belt slides through the buckle for a nice look. I purchased the medium, which is plenty big enough for me to wear this lower on my hips. So many times, you can either wear the belt for high-waisted looks, but not with items that are medium or low-waisted. This works for all of them! Here is the link, and I also found a few similar for you to look at.

I absolutely love your style! Us gurls over fifty tend to give up on our looks sometimes and your outfits come as a fresh breath of air!
I would honestly like to know the small tips that make all your outfits look fantastic. It’s not just the clothes -we all know that! It’s the way you occasionally tuck the front of your shirt into the pants, but just a touch, or the way your scarf falls more to this side than that! Things like that make the whole look a different ballgame alltogether! Could you share those “secret ingredients” with us, please????

  3. You wear that top well..and yes, you looke
    Sekse.

    Miss Tania,

I love the look. It is classy AND sexy. And I never tire of leopard. Some time last year, I subscribed to your blog for a very short time but felt it was not for me. Somehow, I recently rediscovered you (I don’t know how) and I have been delightfully pleased. You seem to have changed your style, and I am loving how classy you always look, even in casual attire. I even enjoy your short stories, always to the point, always apropos. How nice. I look forward to seeing your future blogs. And thank you for telling us your height (I’m 5’61/2″) and your size. If you are a size 12 (and you look fabulous at that size), I might be happy at that size, instead of trying to get down to a 10 from my current size 16. (I will never be a size 6 or 8 again; much too small for my height and bone structure, but I simply did not know it during those years of being in my 20s and 30s).

    Be well, stay healthy.

  13. I love the outfit! Everything you wear looks amazing on you!!
Love the minivan story, I was in a minivan for 20 years!!! We bought 2 minivans because of kids and dogs. I told my husband NO more minivans for me!! LOL! I agree, they are NOT sexy!!

    1. Marsha, I think that the driver makes the vehicle, not the other way around. Lol!

  14. Sue Kupfer says:

I love the sekse top! I love the vehicle discussions, my hubby keeps asking me that too! I’m not quite ready to go back to a minivan, love my midsize SUV!

    1. Sue, I have been in a large SUV for YEARS! I love riding up high and the room they give to me. But, I still think that the minivan is smart!

  15. Great look – I really like black and brown together. I agree, this is sexy and covered up – the best of both worlds.

    1. Yay! I am glad that you agree with me!

  16. I LOVE THIS.. you look so cute..(and sexy) 🙂

  17. This outfit looks great on you. I for one, never get tired of the animal prints. Your jewelry is very classy and goes with so many outfits. Big hoop earrings seem to be very popular. I enjoy hearing stories about your sweet family. You are blessed to have them close by.

    1. I jewelry is fabulous. If you don’t like huge hoops, they have a medium and a small version of this same earring.

  18. I love the top on you, but being short, the ruffles would not work for me…….makes me look broad as a barn! I think my next vehicle will be a minivan. I love to travel and love the comfort and convenience of a minivan. A couple girlfriends and I went to Gulf Shores in a mini van and we all loved it. The comfort, ride and ease of loading was great. Go for it gurl! Be sexy in your dress and attitude…be comfortable in your vehicle!

    1. It will be a while before I get another vehicle, but I do think that the minivan is smart. I don’t have to haul a lot of kids, but I love the room and how the doors open and close.

  19. I immediately ordered the leopard top! I can’t wait to wear it this summer with a pair of white skinny jeans and strappy sandals.

    1. That will look awesome, Tina!

  20. This looks great on you!

  21. That top looks great on you and I love the leopard print. I’m on the short side so ruffle sleeves tend to overwhelm and widen me. I had a minivan when my kids were young. It was the most practical and convenient vehicle I ever had. I miss it sometimes. When I retired I got a cherry red Camaro, my favorite car of all time!

    1. Wow! Caroline!!! A cherry red Camaro?!? You are already walking on the wild side! Lol!

      1. Tania you look amazing in this outfit. I am too busty so it wouldn’t work for me but I love it!

  22. I love leopard too! You look amazing! Love the necklace too! It looks great in all your pictures!

    1. Thanks, Kim! I love this necklace!

  23. I love this outfit. You look fantastic!!!

    1. That is what makes fashion so great…we all can have our own version.

  25. I love this top! So cute and yes ….sexy! You look terrific! But the price point is a little too much for my wallet. What a blessing your sweet family must be!!!!!

    1. Denise, the top is gorgeous. If I catch it on sale, then I’ll be sure and let everyone know.

      1. Yes – if it goes on sale, do et us all know!!! #retiredfixed income

    Not a minivan fan either.
    Funny story though ?

    1. I love these jeans! They fit so nicely, I hate that they were already sold out.

    1. Haha! Nancy, the minivan might not be sexy, but the person driving it can MAKE the minivan look sexy! Lol!
