Hunter Boots on Day Mountain
It is always lots of fun to visit Mom and Day. Well, at least it is fun for me. I believe my husband and son would not go straight to fun. They are bored beyond belief. They only make the trek once a year, so I don’t have that much sympathy.
We went to my Grandfather’s house the day after Christmas. There was lots of people and food. I fell in love with one appetizer that was a club house cracker with bacon wrapped around it and topped with brown sugar. Then you bake them in the oven, although I do not know how long. I think I only ate 8 – 10 of the heavenly creations.
This is what I wore to the get together. The jacket is one I have had for so long I can’t even remember ever buying it. It is Ann Taylor and 100 percent linen. I think the wrinkles just seem to make this jacket. I don’t think I would like it if it was pressed. I like the slouchy feel. And the red double layer flutter blouse is from Versona. I like how this blouse floats away from the waist, my problem area. The skinny jeans are my cheap pair of Vigoss that I got at Marshall’s for 19.00. They are stretchy material and are perfect for tucking into my new Hunter boots I got for Christmas. If you are wanting a pair, they are on sale here. As I am writing this, they have sizes 7 – 11, but they will not last long, so hurry.
Meet my mother! Doesn’t she look stylish in her leggings and boots. Her tunic top has crystals around the neckline, which brought a holiday look to the outfit. She hates having her picture made, so this is a rare occasion.
We were practicing our stances. Hand on hip, weight on back foot, tongue to the roof of your mouth, etc. As you can see, instead of all that, we just laughed.
My sister is taking the pictures, and she is not helping the situation.
We then started talking about other blogs and the pictures they put on them. Like the classic, “I am just walking by” pose.
This was the “jump in the air” pose, almost. Instead this was the landing, and the “I can’t catch my breath” pose.
Day Mountain was a lot of fun for me. I am already missing everybody. I hope your holiday was as much fun as mine. Don’t forget to email me your picture for my “Meet the Gurl’s” blog. Fiftyisnotold@gmail.com is the email address.
This is also something I WANT and NEED: I have added a subscription button to the blog, right under the recent posts tab. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.

Glad you are enjoying your Christmas with family! Can’t believe you have the time to post! Keep enjoying the last days of 2015, gurl!
Posting was easy, replying to comments has been hard. I have been on the road for most of the day, and I am now off to write tomorrow’s blog post. The sacrifices I make for you gurls…. LOL????
I love red and navy because they are such a classic combination. Those boots are fabulous. You can certainly see the resemblance between you and your mom!
Your mom looks fabulous in her leggings! The pictures are all a hoot…I like your “landing”. Time with family is precious.
You’re so adorable and funny! I feel equally awkward with these crazy blogger poses… adore your real photos, and what a great outfit.

Loved seeing your mom! She should “pose” with you more, but I know the distance probably makes that impossible. I loved both outfits and, yes, the Hunter boots are g-o-n-e!
Your mom looks so young and stylish! Love both of your outfits.Glad you had fun with your peeps. Can’t wait to see your New Years outfit!
Thanks Carol! Mom is rockin her leggings????. Do I have to have a New Year’s outfit foe watching TV and going to bed before the ball drops????
You look great and love the Hunter boots!! I’m glad you had fun over Christmas with your family. The picture of you and your mom is sweet!! I get so many outfit ideas from you – thanks.
Thanks, Sandy! My mom is a reluctant model, but a fun one.
