WHY YOU MIGHT WANT TO WEAR A SCARF
Ladies, you don’t hear me vent very often, but today I am going to get on my soapbox. There is a special place in you know where for people who try to prey on the scared, the elderly, the hurting, and those who believe everything they hear or see. I got an email yesterday from someone who called himself a Reverend. The opening of his email started with, “May the peace of the Lord be with you and your families.”
Sounds nice so far, but then he goes on to tell me:
I hope all of you enjoyed yesterday’s blog post on pajamas. I don’t stay in my PJs all day long, but I want them to be comfortable when I am wearing them. Today’s look is a whole lot different. I had to go out to work at the lumber company for a while, so I thought I would share with all of you my outfit, and why I chose certain items.
I am not a huge fan of ruffles. I love them on other people, and I love how feminine they look. But, for the most part, I shy away from wearing them. However, there are a few exceptions, and this shirt is one of them. I love it when ruffles frame your face! I have a dress that I love (Joe hates), and this shirt reminds me of it. (see here) This crepe top is beautiful, feminine, and flattering. I love the deep v-neck that you can control how low it goes. The ruffles bring your eye up to your face, so remember to smile when you are wearing this. I am wearing a size 10 in this top, and it fits me perfectly. You can dress up this top for a business meeting, or you can wear it with jeans for a casual look. It is machine washable, and it comes in three other colors. Best of all…it is only 16.00! Here is the link!
So, you might have noticed that I wore a scarf today. This is a vintage scarf that I’ve had for years, and I love it for its bright colors that remind me of the ocean. I decided to wear a scarf because I am waiting for masks to get here from my sister. (Supposed to arrive later today) The point of a mask is to keep you from touching your face while you are out in public. Most masks, except for the N95 masks, don’t protect you from catching the virus. But, anything that will keep you from touching your face can help you to protect yourself.
I am cold by nature, so I added a navy blazer to keep me warm. A blazer is something that I will wear all summer long because I am in air-conditioned areas for the most part. Blazers keep you warm, they flatter your figure, and they dress up any outfit. Just putting on a blazer makes you look much more professional. This knit blazer is one that I’ve had for a long time, but I pull it out every year. I love the knit fabric because it moves with you instead of feeling binding. I recently purchased a red one and a taupe one also because I love the style so much.
The other day, I did a post on Jeans Under $100.00. (here) I showed you a pair of “vintage style” bootcut jeans from Jag jeans. I was wearing a size 10 in that post, and I mentioned that they were a tad too big for me. So, I sent them back and then reordered a size 8, which fits me to a tee. I love these jeans, and I hope you ordered them when I showed them to you. BECAUSE they are all sold out now!I am wearing a pair of round-toe espadrille wedge slingbacks from Vionic. Boy, that is a mouth full! Lol! I’ve heard so many people talk about their love for Vionic shoes, that I decided to give them a try. This is my first time wearing them, so I don’t have an opinion yet. Do any of you wear these shoes, and if so, why do you love them?

Mark 14:36
36 “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

Thank you so much for highlighting these scams. My 80 year old father has fallen for both email and telephone scams for years. So much so that we had to get him a “Grand Pad” tablet where we have to ok who emails or calls him ahead of time. Thank you also for promoting the use of a cloth mask. Cute outfit too! Happy Easter to you and your family.
I love this outfit today and I checked out your dress that Joe hates. Lol, it’s beautiful and looks great on you.
I’m wearing a scarf as a mask too because the gown I live in is requiring all residents to wear a mask while in public.
Stay safe.
I love and pinned your outfit today. I love scarves and would love to see you add them as options, like you did today….and not just during pandemics! 🙂
I enjoy your daily posts and the fact that you are such a real, genuine person! Don’t change.
Yep, there’s a special place…
Beautiful blouse. It reminded me of your pink dress (which I love) before you mentioned it.
I look forward to your post every day. You are a beautiful woman inside and out, and I love how real you are!!!! Live the blouse and the price point. Trying to remain faithful and not fearful during these trying days!
It is amazing the lengths people will go to….have these people no conscience at all? Truly, one day they will have to stand before the Lord…woe to them.
Love this look! I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy!
Thanks, Ann. I hope you are staying safe also.
I love Vionic shoes due to the support they give to my low arch, Scarf looks great!
I have asthma and chemical allergies so I had a face mask before they were fashionable. Your scarf is more beautiful then my mask but serves the same purpose-keeping us from breathing in harmful substances like fragrances and viruses. And I stopped shaking hands about 2 years ago. The rest of of the world is just now catching up! I love Vionics for their arch support and comfort. I feel like I am walking on a cloud. I own 4 pair and realized that in some styles they use cheaper materials which means the shoes don’t look good for long.
The support is what I had heard about. I don’t need a lot of support, so I wasn’t sure if they would be something that I would like.
Just make sure that the material used for a “mask” is washable. I made mine out of cotton bandanas so after each wear, I just toss in the washer & dryer.
I have a pair of Vionic flip flops and love the arch support they provide.
Yes, it needs to be washable or I’ve also heard that you can microwave them to sanitizer them.
Good morning Tania! Great advice both for being mindful of scammers and staying safe, and you look great doing it. I love that you have been showing so many alternates for items you’re wearing. I don’t love sling backs, but I do love those criss cross wedges you posted. Have a great day!
I try to remember to show alternatives when I can. I know that everyone is different and prefers a little different style our length.
