50 Is Not Old | White on WhiteYou have met my daughter and my baby boy, so now I want to introduce you to my first born child Matthan. Yes, I spelled that correctly. When he was first born, three different nurses came around with the birth certificate form to make sure I had spelled it correctly. You can only imagine all the different pronunciations that have been made in his lifetime. It is pronounced Matt-en.50 Is Not Old | White on WhiteWhen I was pregnant I was stressing about what his name was going to be. This was my first born child and a name would just not come to me. I was in church one Sunday, and I started flipping through Matthew. I was reading all the this one begat that one, and this one begat that one verses. I got to Eleazar begat Matthan, and Matthan begat Joseph. So, Matthan is Jesus’s earthly grandfather. I thought the name was really cool.50 Is Not Old | White on White

Matthan was an athletic child, loving almost all sports. He really LOVED football however, that was his passion. In high school, he started on the varsity all 4 years, and actually made the State A/P High School 1st Team all 4 years. The really miraculous thing about that was he made it in a different position every year.50 Is Not Old | White on White

He went on to play a small amount of football in college at Dartmouth. And after graduation he chose to become a teacher and football coach. That was not a big surprise. But, when he decided to quit coaching and enter the world of insurance and financial planning, that was a big surprise.50 Is Not Old | White on White

He is now a wonderful husband, and father to 3 children, ages 3, 5, and 7. With 3 children, each two years apart in age, you can imagine how busy his life is. He is a leader in his church, and he is helping to coach on a t-ball team this year. I am beyond proud of the young man he has become.11222020_10100506535121356_5413696628031287890_n50 Is Not Old | White on White

Todays outfit was inspired by Cyndi Spivey. I had been thinking about wearing white on white, but had just never gotten around to actually doing it. But I visited Cyndi’s post yesterday, and thought, “What are you waiting for?” So I dragged out my old faithful white jeans and a white t-shirt by Cynthia Rowley. Now for the topper. There are hundreds of options to choose from. I even thought about another white cardigan, but nixed that idea. I bought a white and navy linen duster coat from the thrift store that was my original thought, but it has pink on the coat and I am not sure I will be able to un-pink it. Haha I might have just wasted 2.00. Lol!

A white t-shirt is something that should be on the thicker side. If you do not get a better quality t-shirt, then your bra will show, and the color of your pants will show through. I always hold my hand up under the material to see if it will show.

50 Is Not Old | White on WhiteThe star of the show is the spring coat that I have had for YEARS! I love this lightweight jacket, but when you have a stand-out piece, it is harder to wear it often. It gets so much notice, which of course is the point, that when you wear it again people think, “Is that all you have to wear?” 50 Is Not Old | White on White

How do you like my vintage lucite bracelet? I thought this was too cool when I bought it, very 60’s. The tag is still on the inside of the bracelet, I paid 10.00. This one is gorgeous, but a little expensive. This one is affordable and comes in two different colors. My statement necklace is by Chloe & Isabel. It is convertible to a shorter version. Type my name in the “find a merchandiser” slot on their site if you do not already have a merchandiser that you know.

50 Is Not Old | White on WhiteI chose to carry a black purse today. I played off of the black dots in the coat. Here is a similar satchel.

You have now met ALL three of my children. I am one proud mama of each of them for a variety of reasons. I hope you entered my 7th month giveaway, if not you can do so here.
