WHAT TO WEAR WHEN YOU WANT TO MAKE A STATEMENT

I don’t think that I will be working in Vegas anytime soon! There will be no singing or dancing in my future, and I won’t even be able to become a dealer at the card tables. How do I know this for a fact? One, I can’t carry a tune, and I have two left feet. My singing doesn’t even sound good in my head, much less if I hear a recording of myself. And, if I tried to do one of those TikTok dances, I would go viral for how BAD I am. But, surely, I could be a dealer at the card tables.
Emersyn has spent the last two weekends with me, even staying overnight. Apparently, she has gotten over her fear of spending the night, and will now be a regular house guest every weekend. So, she and I have been finding games that we can play together, and card games are something that she loves. We play UNO, Go Fish, and Speed, and we play back to back to back games. She loves to deal the cards, but she hasn’t mastered the art of shuffling the cards yet, so I have been left with that task.

A few years ago, I went to the doctor for a checkup, and before I left, he asked if anything had been bothering me. I showed him my left arm, and I told him that it was hurting me recently. He pronounced that I had a tennis elbow, even though I don’t play tennis. He said that I was making a repetitive motion that was aggravating the muscle, and once I figured out what the movement was and stopped doing it, the hurt would go away. He was right! I found the motion, stopped making the motion, and my arm healed itself. Well, my arm has been killing me for the past week, but I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. That is, until this weekend, when Emersyn wanted to play cards again. As soon as I picked up the deck to shuffle the cards, my arm screamed, NOOOO! Are you kidding me?? Only I could injure myself shuffling cards. Lol!!! I guess I need to buy one of the professional card shuffler machines or buy a new puzzle to occupy her. It looks like I’ll be making a trip to Walmart this week.
How do you like my Fedora? I had bought one last year (HERE), but I wore it on an expedition in Florida, and it was ruined. My daughter talked me into trying a stand-up paddleboard when we went to Rosemary beach. It was a lot of fun, and I did well for the first time. Then, I got cocky and tried going from standing up to sitting down too fast. That didn’t end well, and I ended up falling off of the paddleboard with my hat on. Bye, bye, hat! It looked horrible and never recovered.

So, when I found this hat online, I grabbed it quickly. I am generally not a hat person, but I love this style, and I think that it looks great. HERE is the link to this cute hat that is under $20.00.
These earrings make a big statement! I bought these to wear for my trip to Dallas (which didn’t happen) to a big conference for bloggers. Only around 200 people are invited, so it was an honor to get the invitation. These earrings aren’t expensive, but I knew that they would be different from what most of the other bloggers were wearing. They are the Juliette earrings from Plunder, and they are 5″ long. I think that they are perfect for wearing with an off-the-shoulder look! I also added my long Rue necklace from Kendra Scott as well as three bracelets from the Styled Collection.
My Gabby espadrille sandals look great with this jumpsuit, and especially this striped tote. I ordered these sandals in two colors, but I decided to keep the black pair since I knew that I would get more wear from them. I love the baseball look stitching on the shoes, and also the platform wedge design. A lot of the jeans and pants are running long, and even though I have long legs for my height, I need an extra boost to keep the pants from dragging the ground. I also have a light cream looking off the should dress that I want to wear soon, and these shoes are what I plan to wear with them. I am wearing my usual size 9, and these fit me great. Now, for this gorgeous jumpsuit! This strapless jumpsuit can work for so many occasions. I can’t wait to wear this on vacation, and I can see this looking fabulous for a reunion, etc. Like the earrings, this is a real statement and show-stopped type of outfit. The large ruffle or flounce, on the bodice, is flattering also since it doesn’t show the tummy region. I also love the slight flare of the legs that give it that modern look that is so popular right now. This is a stretch jersey knit fabric, 95% Polyester, and 5% Spandex. I was pleasantly shocked at how big this striped tote was when it arrived. It is huge, and it is perfect for everyday use or for heading to the beach. It has plenty of room for all of your sunscreen, glasses, phone, and even towels. The neutral color is perfect, and I’ll be carrying this with that cream dress that I mentioned earlier in this post. The bag also comes in a bright pink color, but I am partial to the neutral and black. HERE is the link to the tote.
