Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a lilac sweater, a pair of gray lounge pants, and glittery house shoesEvery day will not be a great day. I tossed and turned all night long and didn’t get a lot of sleep. I could feel a headache coming on, and my sinuses were bothering me. By the time that morning rolled around, I didn’t want to get up, but staying in bed made my head hurt worse. Don’t you hate it when your sinuses act up, and even your teeth hurt?
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a lilac sweater and a pair of gray lounge pantsIt is bad enough to have a sinus headache, tight and tense shoulders, and feel all around blah. But, with everything that is going on right now, you start to question every little ache and pain. Didn’t they say that a headache was a symptom? Didn’t they say that you would feel tired? UGH! Not to mention that a family trait that my sister, brother, and I all have…a dry cough. We all have this stupid cough all of the time and have for years, but now you question yourself. “Is it my usual dry cough, or is it something different?” I want to go back to the good ole days when you could have a headache, feel like crap, and occasionally cough without going all to pieces. Lol! Am I the only hypochondriac when it comes to this stupid virus?
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a lilac sweater with a hoodieI made myself get up, get dressed, and put on a little bit of makeup. I kept telling myself, “I don’t need to dress up, but I SHOULD!” Putting on a bright color helps my mood, and wearing makeup helps Joe’s mood. Lol! (me wearing the makeup, not Joe ?) I went to my closet and started looking for something bright and cheery to wear. Boosting my mood with color is something that I love to do; it is way better than using medicines. I worked somewhat because my attitude lifted, even though my headache stuck around. I figured that I could hurt looking bad or hurt looking nice. If I am going to hurt, I might at well look good! Lol!

I have had this hoodie sweater for a long time, so I was surprised to find it still on the website. The sweater is not only pretty, but it is soft and very comfortable. I am not usually a fan of hoodies because I feel like they are trying to choke me. Lol! But, this one has a deep enough v that I don’t even notice the hood. This is cut generously, and I have plenty of room in this sweater even though I am wearing a medium. I have washed this several times, and it has turned out great each time. Sizes are limited in this color, but there are two other colors that you can choose. Here is the link to the sweater, and it is on clearance.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a lilac sweater, a pair of gray lounge pants, and house shoesSeveral of you have asked about the wreath that I have on my door. I love this grapevine wreath, and I bought it a couple of years ago at a street fair. I went on Etsy and found several that I thought were cute.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a pair of gray lounge pants, and glittery house shoesWhen you feel bad, glitter shoes are the ticket. Lol! I bought these glittery house shoes back in the winter, and they sold out so fast that I didn’t even get to tell anyone about them. Mine have the sheepskin lining, and I wear them  ALL THE TIME! They have a hard sole, so I wear them outside also. They are comfortable, but I truly think that it is the sparkle that I like. If these were brown, I wouldn’t like them as much. Lol! #confessionsofafashionblogger

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a lilac sweater, a pair of lounge pants, and glittery house shoesLoungewear seems to be on everyone’s tongue right now. It is all about comfy and cozy, and we don’t want to feel confined anymore than we already are. I love this pair of lounge pants that I bought from Fabletics, and here is the way that I wore them before. They are loose and flowy, and they are the most comfortable things ever. I also like leggings, but I have come to realize that I am not a big fan of the compression style leggings. I like the knit, or Ponte knit type way better than the spandex type. Here are a couple of lounge pants that I found and thought that you might like.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a lilac hoodie sweater, a pair of gray lounge pants, and glittery house shoesI went shopping yesterday, and I saved over 350.00 on my order. Normally, I’ll order items, get them in, and then show them to you so that you can see how they look on me. BUT, the sale is ending TODAY, so I am going to switch things up. I am going to link to all of the items that I just bought, and then you can decide if you want to purchase for yourself also. I’ll still show them once I get them in the mail, but they won’t be on sale then. A lot of these items are already on sale, but if you use the code COMFY, then you will get another 40-60 percent off. Just click on the photo below to be taken to the link.

  1. I love this outfit on you! Would you be able to share information regarding your hair. Is it thick or thin and what kind of haircut do you have? I would love to get my hair shorter but I have fine hair. I love your blog!

    1. My hair is thick and coarse. I am not sure what kind of style it is, probably a bob of some kind. Thanks for following the blog!

  2. So enjoyed reading your blog and the comments today. It’s nice to know I’m not alone in questioning every cough and hot flash. Lol I definitely get up every morning and get dressed in something comfortable but stylish and put on some makeup. It just improves my mood! Stay safe everyone!

  3. You always look great even in stay at home outfits. I can identify with waking up feeling “blah” but sometimes pushing yourself with a little makeup and different clothes does help. But there are times I just let myself be blah for the day and it’s OK ?. Love your blog

  4. Love the sweater! I understand the teeth aching from sinus problems. The past couple weeks it has rained almost every day so…yep, I know.
Years ago I had breast cancer, The doctor said if it comes back, it’ll probably be brain or bone. Well, my brother says my brain is safe since my 3 siblings & I all share the same brain cell, so my head is empty!!! But I tell ya, when my legs or arms hurt, I still think…did I bump myself? Is this a normal hurt? Is it bone or just muscle? It’s been over 20 years & I still do this. But…we’re all good here. God watches over us.

I’m retired but still buzz around & do things. So staying home is actually kinda nice. Stay home & healthy. I love hearing from you every day.

  5. I have those pants. I love them but the elastic on my pajama bottoms Went south and these just happen to match my pj top. So, you might think of recycling them should you ever have that problem. LOL
I’m making a honey do list of things we need to get done. He probably won’t do them but hope springs eternal that he will accomplish at least a few. Painting porches high on that list.

  6. Jane Hibben says:

    You’re not alone – I have a hot flash and I think I have a fever!!

  7. Kathryn Ivory says:

Tania the clothes from Loft, do they fit true to size? I’m between a M and L. Don’t know what size to order in a top. Thanks

    1. I think that they might run a tad bit large. I am between a medium and a large. With Loft, I always order a medium.

  8. I love how you are so real. You inspire me simply by sharing your story, knowing I’m not the only one who is feeling a little insane at times. Thank you and be safe!

  9. Hi Tania!

I agree with you that it is important to get dressed with make-up every day. Some days I have achieved that goal by 8:00 a.m. and other days not until 11:00 a.m., but I do achieve that goal every day. I love the pink sweater! I just ordered the sweater in gray — all sold out in the pink. I was absolutely thrilled that the shipping was FREE! Thank you!

I have a couple affirmations I have been repeating daily – actually several times a day.
    1. In God, I am always protected. (Daily Word 3/13/20)
    2. Every single cell is my body is happy, every single cell in my body is well. (There is a lady who sings this on Facebook.)

Stay well. We are all praying for one another.
    Terry

  10. Hi Tania-You echo our thoughts; becoming a bit of a hypochondriac with every little tigthtness, sniffle, cough….or unexplained sensation. I am buoyed by the buds on trees and green things popping up. At this point, I’m happy to see a weed! But these signs of spring, signs of life, bring allergies.Thank you for showing us you are just like us, with our hopes and fears. I guess that’s why I love seeing your post every morning. We’ve all created a “new” schedule, a new normal. I teach writing online. How that is possible, still trying to figure out. But after coffee and your post, I get dressed with make-up and earrings. I try not to go from night pj’s to day pj’s! Take care, Janet

  11. Ginger Jackson says:

Oh Tania, I had some of the same symptoms last night. Kept me awake forever, finally took a Tylenol and slept a little. Ugh! I’m praying and will be so grateful when we come out the other side of this mange!

  12. Tania,
Just “thank you” for being you!
    Have a blessed weekend!

  13. I just ordered the hoodie sweater in gray (the only color left in medium). It’s on clearance, there’s an extra 15% off, shipping is free, and I had a $5 off coupon I needed to use. The final cost was only $12.50, yay!!

  14. Donna Wood says:

Ugh…I get those same headaches! They’ve been bad this Spring. Hope you are feeling better, Tania!

  15. Love love the lounge outfit… my kind of stay at home wear… I can skip the makeup! LOL!

  16. Tania, although I don’t get to work from home and I still go to the bank everyday, I am allowed to dress casually everyday. to some that means jeans everyday, but I like a variety of looks, so your ideas have been a great inspiration on a new way to shop my closet. there is no reason I cant look cute and comfy, right?

    1. Exactly! There is no reason not to look cute and comfy.

  17. Monica Ercanbrack says:

I think we are sisters everything you said is so me right down to the sinus headache where it makes my teeth hurt. I have been working from home so I have been getting dressed just I am going to work and it has helped especially something cute and colorful. And I also work at the corporate office of a small lumber company.
    Hope you to feel better.

    1. Monica, you do sound like you could my sister. lol ?

  18. Stephanie J says:

“Me wearing the makeup, not Joe.” ??? Thank you for starting my day with a laugh!! The glitter shoes are so pretty and that sweater is a beautiful color for you. Love your blog!

    1. Thanks, Stephanie. ? I love this shade of lilac.

  19. You are certainly not the only hyoochondriac! We have that too, we tell each other every morning when we wakeup how we are feeling! Stay strong!

    1. Tania, I hope you feel better soon!! I’m sharing your “comfiness” with you!!!

    2. I usually feel great, so when my sinuses act up, I whine like a baby.

  20. Nickim298 says:

now this is my kind of stay home outfit. it comfortable for home but if I need to run to the store or take a walk to get away from my ppl for a few mins I can.the hoodie is a nice uplifting color too

    1. We all need these comfy stay at home styles that we can relax in, but still feel dressed enough to go to the mailbox.
