WEDNESDAY’S WARDROBE LINK-UP & GIVEAWAY
IT’S HUMP DAY!!!! I started to do my best impersonation of the Hunch Back of Notre Dame, but I decided to let your coffee stay in your mouth instead. Lol! Besides, I couldn’t get the lurch and limp down, I just looked liked I had had too much to drink. I guess you will have to just imagine that look. Haha
I didn’t feel the best yesterday, I was afraid that I was getting a stomach virus. I went home early, and took a two hour nap. After I woke up, I felt fine, I am thankful for that. Yesterday I participated in an Ageless Style Linkup, thank you if you joined in with me. Today, I am hosting my own link-up, Wednesday’s Wardrobe. These link-ups give bloggers (new or seasoned) a platform to showcase their blogs to a new audience. And, it gives readers new blogs to explore that they might never have seen before. It is a great thing for both!
Yesterday I mentioned in my blog post, that if anyone wanted to place an order with Plunder, I was having an online party. AND, I would give a 10% discount on your first order, but that I had to be the one to place the order because this was a discount through me, not the company. I had a couple of you gurls take me up on that offer, thank you very much. Pam from Arkansas emailed me her order, but didn’t want to give out her credit card info in an email, (smart lady), so I called her on the phone to get the card info, her shipping address, etc. We had a fabulous conversation after a little Abbott and Costello skit. It went something like this:
“Hello, this is Pam. ”
“Hi, Pam, this is Tania Stephens from 50 Is Not Old.”
“Hello, I can’t hear you.”
“This is Tania Stephens from 50 Is Not Old.”
“Your who? I’m sorry I can’t hear you.”
Getting louder now, “This is Tania from 50 Is Not Old.”
“Your with who? Are you on a cell phone, I can’t hear you.”
I am starting to feel really stupid about now, the part about shouting 50 Is Not Old. So even though I am not on a cell phone, I start walking around my house trying to get a better signal. Haha
“This is Tania.”
The signal had finally cleared up enough to where she could hear me, and we both laughed at our antics. I thought it might have been my southern accent causing the issue. Lol! Anyway, we talked like we had been best friends. It is funny how you can talk to someone you have never met before, and it was wonderful. She told me about her daughter, and I talked a little about starting the blog. This is a pretty simple outfit. In fact, I guess most of my outfits are pretty simple. A pair of pants, a top, and usually a sweater or jacket is what my outfits consist of. Add a few accessories and you have an outfit. I have on another Plunder Design necklace and bracelet today. The necklace is the one that my sister wore in this post, and it is called the Lindsay. I would never have ordered the necklace from looking at the book. And even looking at these pictures, you can’t tell anything about it. The “clasp” has large sparkly stones, and the leaf design, which looks white, is actually small rhinestones. So every time you move, this thing sparkles. When my sister was doing her commencement speech, she was sending off sparkles everywhere. We had a friend in the audience, her son was graduating, and she texted my mom wanting to know where she got the necklace. Haha The bracelet was the same way. I skipped right over it when I was looking at the book, but a lady came into the lumber company wearing it, and I placed an order as soon as she left.
These pants are on their third try. I have worn them three times, and they have never made the blog. I love them in person, but for some reason, they never look good in the photos I take. I guess it is a possibility that they didn’t look good while I was wearing them either. I wasn’t really happy with these pictures, but I basically said, what the heck. The pants are Old Navy Pixie Pants and they are a small black and white gingham check. I chose to wear a pair of black Isaac Mizrahi wedge sandals with them. The cobalt blue tote is a couple years old, and I think I bought it at TJ Maxx, but I wouldn’t swear on it.
Gingham Pants: Old Navy | Old Navy Plus
Black Wedges Shoes : Isaac Mizrahi | Toms | Clarks
Tote: Leather | Vince Camuto | Target
I wish you could see the detail of this top. It is a dark cobalt blue and it has rosettes down the center. I tried to lighten the pictures enough for you to see, but it was still too dark. You at least get a good look at the bracelet though, and the silver ring that I got from my BFF Bertha (under protest). Haha The white sweater is from Cato, and I have no idea how old it is. I try to keep a white sweater on hand in the summer months, it will go with almost anything. When it gets to the point of looking dingy, then it is time to get a new one.
Blue Top: A Line | Pleated Chiffon | Sleeveless
White Sweater: Talbots | Tommy Hilfiger | PlusThat’s all for today. But it is time to celebrate again. I have reached the 9 month mark in my blogging journey, so that means it is time for a “giveaway.” And not just any giveaway, you gurls are so lucky, this month Kay & Star have agreed to supply a $40.00 gift certificate to their Etsy site!!!
