50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING TIE-DYE AFTER 50I am so glad that it is finally Friday! It is payday, so that helps, and for once I don’t think I have a bill waiting with its hand out. Lol! I love it when all the bills have been paid and this is just “free” money. I may have to go to the bank and put it in a savings account. If any of you believed that, you need to contact me because I have some swamp land for sale. Haha! 50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING TIE-DYE AFTER 50When Ashleigh and Joseph were young they were so different when it came to money. I tried to teach them, not very successfully, how to manage their money. So I would give them a set amount of money and take them shopping. Ashleigh would spend EVERY penny and even talk Joseph into letting her borrow some of his. Joseph wouldn’t buy a thing, he said he didn’t need it enough to part with his money. He already had one truck or a shirt or a pair of pants, and that was all he needed. They are now 27 and 29 and their money traits are still pretty much the same. My daughter will spend and sometimes overspend, and Joseph hardly ever buys anything. At least Ashleigh will work several jobs to earn her money even if they are jobs like scorekeeping and refereeing for ballgames. 50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING TIE-DYE AFTER 50I bought this tie-dyed top at a boutique in Coronado Beach while I was in California. The brand name is LOVESTITCH. I loved the slouchy comfortable style and as soon as I tried it on I knew it was coming home with me. I wore this for the flight back to Atlanta because of the comfort level. Did I tell you that I got patted down at the airport? I went through the metal detector, holding my hand’s above so that it could scan. The man told me to put my necklace around to the back and stand still. Then he said for me to go ahead and leave. I started to go pick up my purse and a lady told me to hold up. Then she made me hold my hands up while she patted me down. My sister was scrambling to grab her cell phone out and take a picture. Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING TIE-DYE AFTER 50 I am loving the Monna necklace. It is stamped “Blessed” and has a cross with a tiny rhinestone and a single turquoise bead. This is a shorter necklace which fits perfectly in the “V” opening at my top. I would have sworn that I saw these earrings in the new Spring catalog. I would have been wrong! I looked through the book two or three times and I can’t find it anywhere. Sorry, these were part of the Plunder Posse. The Posse is a monthly subscription service that is 25.00 (including shipping and taxes) and they send you between 1 -3 pieces of jewelry. The day of the month you sign up for is the day when your next month’s order would ship. There are no sign-up and no cancellation fees. They post the picture of the Posse on the first day of each month so you have time to go in and cancel the service if you don’t like that month’s items. You simply sign up again the next month you see something you want. 50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING TIE-DYE AFTER 50 The Brianna is the bangle bracelet on the right. It has a magnetic closure which has quickly become my favorite type of closure. I love being able to throw these type bracelets on and take them off with just one hand. Yes, I am too lazy to use two hands. Lol! The large bracelet on the left was the Eunice and we must have said goodbye to my old friend. I wore this one all the time! The two small bangles, Liza and Monica are the only boho bangles that didn’t retire.  50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING TIE-DYE AFTER 50 I told you my sister tried to walk me to death in San Diego and my hips have paid the price. Have you noticed that I have had on flats almost every day this week? The walking on concrete has made me Bursitis flair up and I know the only cure, FLATS! For all you gurls who never wear high heels, this week is for you. Lol! This pair of ballet flats is by Isaac Mizrahi. The are alright but if I was going to do a lot of walking I would want to have a little more cushioning.

50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING TIE-DYE AFTER 50I am carrying my Emma Fox black purse. I am an Emma Fox fan!!! I will warn you though that these are heavy purses. Even with nothing in them, they weight quite a bit. I used to buy my Emma Fox purses at TJ Maxx but I haven’t seen one there lately.

  1. Tania, I really like your 50 is not old blog! You inspire me to try again, no longer going to work everyday, it’s very easy to get into sweatshirts and jeans – or yikes, sweats mode! I found myself “dressing up” to go to the dentist and grocery store the other day, wearing a cute top and bracelets like Tania does. ?Thank you for sharing you!

To put it simply why I read everyday is you are so relatable. Some of the blogs I started with are all about name expensive name brands (ok sometimes for splurges) and truthfully unattainable on most peoples budget. Your stories are similar to mine. And most of all you are who you are. You don’t pretend to be anyone else. I love the way you inspire me and give me an entertaining start to my days! You have a gift of making us feel as one of your dear friends. Thank you for sharing your life stories and dressing ideas.

  7. I discovered you through a friend that had pinned you on Pinterest. Thanks for all of the helpful fashion ideas. Love your style!
