WEARING FLATS WITH SKINNY JEANS
I am continuing with my wardrobe capsule series today. It is going to be a busy day for me today filled with lots of training. It is a lot of fun getting to see some of my friends that I only get to see once or twice a year. There are over 11,000 people here in attendance, but it is surprising how you will still run into people that you know. Later tonight, I get to go to an event that only a few hundred people will be invited to attend.
It is funny how last year I stressed over every outfit that I wore, but this year I didn’t buy anything special for the event. I didn’t even start packing my suitcase until TWO hours before it was time to leave. I don’t think that I have even been so “chill” as I was this year. I figured out last year that there is no right or wrong thing to wear. People wear a little bit of everything to these type of events. I do feel more pressure about my outfits since I am a fashion blogger. I think that people might expect me always to have a fancy outfit, and that is not the case this year. This year, I decided to go for comfort, and last year I was more about style. Lol!
The neutral sweater that I am wearing is the same sweater that I was wearing in yesterday’s post. That is the thing about only having two or three tops to choose from; you have to wear the same items over and over and over. The challenge is to wear them differently as often as possible. I added a navy jacket/blazer over the sweater to change the look of the outfit as much as possible. I have had this jacket for over five or six years, and I will be able to get many more years of wear from this jacket. When you buy a classic style, you will be able to wear them for years.
I am trying to grow my Instagram, so if you do not already follow me, please do that by clicking here. Remember to sign up for my daily emails. Thanks so much for following me on my blog. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
It sounds like our family reunion. Some we only see once a year. Fun to catch up with their lives. I love the flats and the swear we so much. You will need to replace that sweater because it is going to be a sweater that always works. Have a great time!
O just wanted to know if you will be doing anymore posts on color and prints? You are the only blogger I found in my age group who actually embraces these styles. While I understand some people only wear neutrals or solid colors, I think you looked so beautiful in bright colors and interesting prints. Plus you were a great source of helping me find more of the styles I love. Thanks for listening.
