WALMART TRY ON HAUL AND WHY YOU SHOULD GRAB THESE QUICKLY
I’ve got a Walmart try-on haul for you today that knocks it out of the park. Walmart fashion has come a long way in the past few years, and I find myself buying more and more of their clothing. If you’ve not tried their fashions yet, I bet you will be hitting the “add to cart” button before this post is over.
Like all retailers, I have found the brands from Walmart that I prefer using. Some of my favorites are Time and Tru, Scoop, Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara, and Free Assembly, and I am never disappointed with my items. I will remind you that you might want to grab your selections quickly because things tend to sell out very fast.
For sizing reference, I am 5’6″ tall, weigh between 155-165 at any given time, and I wear a 10 in bottoms, an M-L in tops, a 12 in dresses, and a 9 in shoes. So, if you are ready, let’s start this fun fall fashions post.
Usually, I would start with the basics, but I have to go right to the start of this outfit, the faux suede moto jacket! This is such a flattering jacket, and the way it drapes is beautiful. Sometimes, the heavy black leather moto jackets are too overpowering for my complexion, but this beautiful fig color is perfect.
The jacket is lightweight, edgy, modern-looking, flattering, and soft to the touch! I am wearing a large just in case I want to wear it later over a heavier sweater.
Instead of wearing a heavy sweater, I chose to wear a dusty rose long sleeve crew neck tee. This tee came in a two-pack, and the other color with it was a medium gray. I like the relaxed fit of the tees, and you can’t beat the quality, especially for the price. I ordered a large in the tees because I didn’t want them to fit me tightly.
I’m not sure which I like best, the patchwork pattern, the size of the bag, or the adorable bow on the strap. All of the combined creates a gorgeous faux-leather hobo handbag. The colors in the patchwork pattern are ideal for fall, and this will go with so much of your fall clothing.
For the next outfit, I went with a casual fall outfit that could be worn anywhere. This look is polished looking, but more on the casual side. So, it would be perfect for running errands, going out to lunch, or any appointment you might have.
Free Assembly is a relatively new brand to Walmart, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Everything that I have tried from this brand has been like a high-end item. The jeans fit great and a thick and heavy; the sweaters are soft, luxurious, and hold up well. This polo sweater was no exception; I love the feel, the fit, and the style! A large ribbed band at the hem is something that I love since it helps to create a nice drape, and this lightweight sweater dropped nicely. I am wearing a medium, and it is the perfect size for me.
Here is another patchwork handbag, only this one is black. The bag above also comes in this pattern if you liked the size of that one, but I wanted to show you a smaller bag also. This is a bucket bag, and you can see that you can remove the shoulder strap if you wish to and use the small handle strap instead.
I am so glad that this up-close photo gives you a good look at the material. Even though this is faux leather, look how luxurious the bag looks.
I’m wearing the same pair of jeans for all of the outfits. These are relaxed-fit straight-leg jeans by Lee, and I am wearing my usual size 10 in them. The description doesn’t say, but I feel like these are mid-rise jeans. They fit me well, not too tight and not too loose, and the length is perfect. I am wearing the regular length, but these also come in short and tall.
If I am honest, these buckled faux suede boots were my favorite of the two boots that I wore for this post. But, my DIL, who took my photos, loved the other pair more. The exact detail that I loved, the buckles, is what she didn’t like. I am telling you this so you can see how everyone can like different styles, and we don’t all have to like the same thing.
I also like the faux zipper on the buckle side, but the boots zip with the inner zipper. The stacked block heel is 2 3/4″ high and very sturdy. I am wearing my usual size 9, so they fit TTS.
I feel like this wrap top gives a dressier vibe, even though I am still wearing the same jeans and ankle boots. This is an example of how changing one item of an outfit has a big impact on the overall look.
The snake print top has brown, gray, black, and cream, so the brown boots still work with this look. However, if I were going on a date night, I would probably switch them out for this black pair instead.
Some people are not fans of a snake print, so don’t feel bad if you keep scrolling to the next look. Lol! I think this print is beautiful on the top; I just don’t want to see it in its natural state, especially not around my feet.
This is a black python wrap top, and it has an inner tie, and then the top is held closed by the outer belt. I would highly suggest using a pin, brooch, or tape to ensure that the top stays together at the neckline. That way, you can adjust the height of the v-neck, and you won’t be fidgeting with it throughout the day. I had read that the top runs small, so I ordered a large, which fit me fine.
Here is a look from the back so that you can see the length of the top.
This is a complicated cardigan for me to style. I bought the wrong size, so it is huge on me. You will need to size down for it, and even though I ordered a medium, it was still too big for me.
The good part is, this fringed sweater cardigan is of excellent quality, and the fringe is gorgeous on it. If you have smaller shoulders, it will help them look more prominent, but stay away from this if you have broad shoulders.
Here is a closer view of the sweater and fringe, and you can see how nice and thick it is. I liked this rusty brown color, but it is also available in a blue/green color, and some sizes are available in off-white.
Ooooh, I love this colorblock sweater!!! The colors of this sweater are great for fall, and you will be able to throw this on with lots of tees and turtlenecks.
I read the comments about this cardigan running oversized, so I sized it down to a small, and I think that it is still too big. Someone said you need to size down two sizes, but I didn’t listen, but I wish I had. The sweater is definitely worth purchasing because it is gorgeous, and the material is excellent. But…listen to me and size down two sizes!
Oh, I forgot to mention the gray t-shirt that I have on. It is the second tee that was in the 2-pack where I bought the pink one above.
The cardigan is plenty long, even if you do size down. And, if the sleeves are too long for you, just roll them up as I have here. This cardigan won’t be around for long, though, and some of the colors have already gotten limited.
Here are the ankle boots that my DIL loved the best. She loved the color and the simplicity of the boots, where I liked the bells and whistles of the other pair. These faux-leather pointy toe boots will help to elongate your legs while giving you plenty of style. I love block heels because they are sturdy and easy to walk in. These run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 9.
I wanted to give you a look at the back zipper of the boots. This makes for easy on and off, and no tugging is required.
Here is the last look, and it has all of the same items that I’ve already shown. The only difference is that my polo sweater is the off-white version instead of the brown/camel one above.
I know that everyone needs off-white in their wardrobe, and this soft and stylish polo sweater would work wonders. I am wearing a medium, and the fit is great.
Walmart has even more incredible fall fashions to choose from, and you can find something there for the entire family. I have been very impressed with the quality and selection from Walmart, and I love that they make their clothing affordable.
Walmart makes it very convenient for its customers to shop, especially since most people have a store within 10 miles of their homes. Walmart has an extraordinary policy of free 2-day shipping and returns for purchases over $35! You can also sign up for Walmart Plus, where you get Free Shipping and no order minimums.

What great finds and prices, love the sweaters!
I don’t usually buy my clothes from Walmart, but after seeing outfits I decided to give them a try. The cardigan is beautiful, but even the small is huge. Unfortunately, they were out of my size in the polo shirts. I am happy with other items that I purchased.
I really appreciated this post and your time and effort. As fashion changes so quickly I’m not one to go and buy a high end item only for it to be out of style the next season. I do however spend some money on the basics. With that said I did order the moto jacket. I’ve been looking for a lightweight one for a while. I also wanted to try the jeans and of course, ordered the purse. All were great picks. Thanks so much.
I’m impressed with these Wal-Mart fashions. Who’d have thought?? I really like the faux suede moto jacket. Looks so nice and light. The color is very flattering on you also. But I checked and that’s the only color it comes in and it’s just not a color that I think would coordinate with alot in my wardrobe. I also like that polo sweater in the off white color better. I don’t shop much at Wal-Mart But I might have to start. Your posts with items from Old Navy (another store I never really shopped at) & Wal-Mart have opened my eyes a bit. I finally ordered that reversible leopard/black vest from Appleseeds that you modeled. I was debating cuz it only goes to XL and I’m a bit bigger at the moment, but I loved it so much. I’m hoping that it will be an incentive for me to stick to my diet!! Wish me Luck!!
Very cute! Wal-Mart has come a long way with clothes I think. Everything in this post looks wonderful on you.
Enjoyed this post. You look great!
Very slim. Also enjoyed all year backgrounds.
“Dressing room” try ons look much better when you are outside…ha! Thank you for all the work you do to share such good fashion choices.
I was surprised and impressed by these Walmart choices. Really cute! I think I’ll go shopping. Also, I noticed that you didn’t wear much jewelry with these outfits. Are you leaning toward less jewelry?
Why do I never see these cute clothes at my Walmart? I’ll have to look closer. I would like to see some styling with masks. Just plain white or black or hospital style. Thanks.
Wow, wow, wow! Loved this post and immediately ordered three items featured! Thank you for posting about less expensive options in fashion!
I discovered Free Assembly this past summer and love it. The quality is great for the price. Unfortunately the polo sweater is sold out in most sizes. Not sure how often they restock but I may run into the store and look for it. Thanks for sharing and getting the word out about these awesome new brands at Walmart.
Love the Walmart looks. This is the only store we have to shop at in my little town of only five stop lights so thanks for sharing the outfits. It’s a hour drive for us to shop any where else
So many great pieces in this post – love the mix and matching of different pieces. Thank you!
Great picks, Tanya. I love the suede boots with the buckle – it’s all about the details!
Lovely fall colors, Tania. I like the look of the polo neck sweater, but the sleeves could be longer. It doesn’t look like you have them pushed up. Oh, well. No need to decide. It’s sold out in my size!
The sleeves on the polo sweater are 3/4 length, I just had them pulled down.
Love the wrap top and off white polo sweater on you. Who knew Walmart would have such great clothes?
Aren’t they stylish, and so affordable!!!
Wow, that is quite a haul! My sister, mom, and I are going shopping this weekend, and I think we’ll make sure we stop by Walmart!
Good Luck, Kristi! But, like I warned some of the other ladies, I’ve never seen any of these brands, except Time and Tru, in stores. I’ve only been able to find them online.
I love everything about that first outfit and those two colors look beautiful on you. I too like the booties with the buckle but for me, I can’t wear that high of heel anymore.(sigh) I am headed to Walmart soon so I will see what the store carries.
Sandy, I’ll warn you that I’ve never found a Walmart that carries Scoop, Free Assembly, or Sofia Vergara in stores. Even when I am in Atlanta at a larger store, they don’t have those brands. Good luck!
Walmart! Who knew???
Haha! They have really upped their fashion game!
Yep, you were right! I just ordered the colorblock cardigan and the 2-pack tees, so thank you! I love the short jacket, but I know that I would not get as much wear out of it as I will the cardigan. Yes, Wal-Mart has really amped up their game when it comes to women’s affordable fashion. All of these outfits are great! Have a blessed day!
I hope you really sized down in that cardigan, it is very oversized!
All of these outfits look wonderful on you!
Thanks, Gerri!
Amazing what Walmart offers. You look great in all of these.
Thanks, Cheryl!
Wow! Who knew Walmart could be so stylish? I love the jacket and those buckled boots! Great try on. Ready for fall.
They have really come a long way in styles and quality.
Beautiful coordinate, love the fashion ideas, will be hitting up Walmart soon. Thanks 😊
Blasse, I thought they were great finds. I will warn you though, most Walmarts do not carry Scoop, Free Assembly, or Sofia Vergara in stores. I’ve only been able to find them online.
You were so right…I had 2 polo sweaters in my cart before I’d read half the post! I would have ordered more if I didn’t already have a patchwork bag and similar boots. Thanks again for posting your sizes in specific items you are modeling. It makes me more confident in the sizes I order.
Connie, those polo sweaters are so versatile, and you will wear them all fall!
