Try On Haul With Talbots, Kohl’s, Loft, And More
I could have titled this post as a photo dump. These pictures got lost in the hundreds of photos on my phone, and I wanted to use them before everything sold out. Some of the items are already limited in size, and some are on a waitlist, but hopefully, you’ll be able to find something you like.
Try On Haul With Kohl’s
I love this outfit from Kohl’s. Easter is early this year and is on March 31st. I actually prefer it later in April so that the temperatures are warmer. All the kiddos running around looking for eggs won’t mind, but the moms and grandmas would love sunshine and warm weather.
This V-Neck Tiered Maxi Dress is a gorgeous color and print! The dress is flattering and has long sleeves. That will provide a tiny bit of warmth and hide my upper arms, which are terribly white and flabby.
This Simply Vera Vera Wang handbag is a great size. It can work with almost all outfits and is the perfect size for all your goodies. I like that it has several different pockets to keep your items organized.
Try On Haul With Talbots
In my survey earlier this year, I asked what type of outfits you wore the most. The overwhelming #1 answer was – casual clothing! I knew y’all were my kind of gurls!!!
My mind is drawn to dressy outfits, but my heart is drawn to casual styles. You will find me wearing casual outfits like this most of the time, and my closet is stuffed with jeans, jeans, and more jeans!
Call me crazy, but I love an outfit that doesn’t touch me anywhere. Who would have thought that a large rectangular piece of cloth could look so cute and be so cozy? I love that this poncho has sleeves; I’m not fond of the kind that are open. Since this has buttons down the front, you could also wear it as a cardigan.
Strangely enough, the one thing missing from my wardrobe are long-sleeved T-shirts. I have lots of short-sleeved tees in many colors, but only one or two that have long sleeves.
I like this Crewneck Tee, and I especially like the seams that make it fit better. This top is perfect for a chilly spring or summer day since it is fairly thin and lightweight. I always recommend wearing a nude bra or camisole anytime you wear a white top. I usually order a large in tees, but I read this one was roomy. The medium fit perfectly, and I could wear this by itself and not be uncomfortable.
This look is a favorite of mine! I tried a similar sweater jacket last year and ended up not buying it. Why is it that you sometimes regret certain non-purchases, and they almost haunt you?
As soon as I saw this Sweater Jacket on the website this year, I immediately placed an order before it sold out. This is a fairly heavyweight sweater and is perfect for transitioning into spring. I want to wear spring clothing, but the weather keeps forcing me back into my winter clothes. This outfit is perfect for now, and it makes me happy.
Can you see the quality of this sweater??? I also like that the white extends around the back on the collar and hem, plus the side stripes are a great visual detail.
Try On Haul With Loft
Loft is a blog favorite, and I know why! There clothing isn’t as dressy as their sister store, Ann Taylor, so it is perfect for us who want casual styles that are fashionable.
The Tipped Ribbed Sweater Jacket is a version of the Lady Jacket which I posted about here. Most Lady Jackets are striped, so those who prefer solid colors will like this look better. You still get the same look, but slightly different. I liked adding the Striped Ribbed Sweater Tank Top under the sweater jacket. This gave me the stripes I wanted, but the sweater jacket still was the star item.
These Mid Rise Boot Jeans fit well, and I love the medium wash color. The website calls this a vintage dark wash, but it isn’t a deep, dark wash. I’m wearing my usual size 29, and they fit great. A slight bootcut is a great style of jeans and is universally flattering for almost every body shape.
I had a few more outfits to show, but everything had already sold out. 🙄 It is that time of the year when spring clothing is just starting to hit the stores, and everyone is buying things up quickly. Hopefully, more inventory will be added as spring gets closer.

Ah, shoot! I really like the zip up sweater in your final picture!
I still really love the khaki and white striped poncho I bought from your recommendation from J Crew last year. I get complements every time I wear it.
Shower cute jeans outfits!!
Oh, that navy and white zip up sweater from Talbots is a winner! If I think too long before I buy it might sell out, too. Well, I’ll give myself 24 hours to see it it still is winking at me!
Love the Kohls dress for Easter – because I know it will be a cold one!
I love your Joe stories. He reminds me of my late husband who’s was name was Joe also. He never let me drive but I had to drive him home from hospital one time because he had anesthesia and couldn’t drive. He thought I drove to slow. So we were driving along and all of a sudden he said, “I feel like we are going backwards.” I thought that was so funny I let him have that one. Miss him so much. Take care of your Joe and praying for a quick recovery for Joe and your brother.
Linda, that was such a funny remark! I’m sure my Joe thought that too.
I like them all. the sweater jackets are on my list to try for spring.
Love the navy and white sweater. You always give great ideas to expand my closet.
Love the poncho! It looks so good on you.
If Joe is getting a little grumpy that means he’s getting better.
That’s what I said, too.
Fabulous scripture! I really like the v-neck tiered dress and the sweater jacket. You look nice in all of these looks. How long is Joe grounded? I hope that his recovery is going to be shorter than mine will be!
The doctor said he would be able to play golf in 2 weeks, so it shouldn’t be much longer.
I love your post!!! Plus love the dresses you have posted. Have a blessed day and keep entertaining Hubby!!!!
Just broke down and bought the Itty Bitty jeans.Have wanted them for months because they look so good on you. Today I thought, just like L’Oreal, “I’m worth it.” Lol!
Your Joe cracks me up! He and my hubby could be related. He hated being driven around by me. He wore a spot on my carpet slamming on his passenger brake😂. So glad your brother is doing well. Will keep him in my prayers.
You’ll love those jeans!!! They fit so gooooood.
Hi Tania,
I couldn’t help but chuckle reading the story about Joe and the red lights.
My husband had a TKR in December and stopping at red lights put him in the same mood!!
Totally get the quality time issue as well 🤣
Love all the outfits!
Thank you
Kim
Men are hilarious! Plus, I love to poke at Joe, and he doesn’t always take it well. lol!
The sweater jacket is my favorite, but loft is out of my size! All the outfits look great on you. Hope your Joe heals soon.
I love the dress from Kohl’s!
I love the Loft choices today. That jacket and striped tank is in my cart now! Have a great day and hang in there with Joe – LOL! Sometimes there really is a thing as too much “togetherness”!
I’ve been there, and you gave me a chuckle this morning.
I only now told him that I put him in the email. Lol!!!
Love Love Love your stories Tania! You are my daily laughter/medicine which is good for my soul. You look great in all of these outfits. The color of the dress is stunning on you.
~Lisa~
Beautiful dress!
The sweater jacket is adorable! Waiting to do a good clean out before ordering more items. Glad your brothers surgery went well-God is good!
Love these pieces from Talbots! Classic, yet trendy, Talbots clothes never wear out and never go out of style! The outfits you put together are so cute and versatile. Thanks!!
You two crack me up!! I love your stories. I also love the sweater jackets in this post.
The Loft outfit is my favorite. Everything is perfect and you look great. Good job. I like Loft because not only because they offer modern petite styles but they always have a sale. Some days great sales and discounts. They also have a good rewards program. When I was younger I liked Ann Taylor but now I like Loft better. I guess cause I retired. Ann Taylor now seems kinda of stuffy to me.
That dress is beautiful on you!!! Your Joe stories crack me up! Happy Tuesday❤❤❤
Love the jeans but don’t like the return policy so I will have to find another way to get them
You look so pretty in that pink dress!
I like the jacket from loft.
Love the sweater jackets. So classy!
I loved everything you posted today! You hit the mark with my style.
Nice outfits— LOVE them all!! I, also like a nice poncho!!
The poncho is my favorite! Looks so cute on you. And your new haircut…love it! It makes you look younger!
I love reading your family stories! They always make me smile and often times laugh. You obviously have a great personality besides being a good blogger. Have a great day!
Love the poncho on you, but they swallow me up!
Hahaha – your Joe is so funny LOL. Love the maxi dress and poncho.
Loved all the sweaters and jackets you showed today. I thought the cream-colored poncho for spring was a homerun! The weight of a poncho is perfect for spring but all of mine are darker colors which is probably why I never wear them in spring. I could really use a lighter colored version like this. Glad your brother did well with his surgery. Isn’t it wonderful having a backseat driver up front?! LOL I remember when my hubby had rotator cuff surgery in one shoulder and 6 months later had the other one done. I was in control of the wheel a lot that year!
Goodness, you might be a better woman than me.
These looks are awesome!!!
First – I love the jacket from Loft! I am not a Loft shopper but your blog is enticing me to get Loft in my “rotation” of stores. Joe and my Don could be BFFs! Sooo many times I channel Carrie Underwood saying “Jesus Take the Wheel” (but I’m sure my intent isn’t Carrie had in mind🤠). Gotta love him tho – 53 yrs and counting!
Lol! I told him that he can’t drive from the passenger side.
Nice haul! Thanks.
I especially like the trimmed jacket and striped top from Loft. I like their clothes.
I agree, I have jeans, jeans and jeans. I just don’t need a lot of dressy clothes anymore, since I retired. Great looks, especially the navy and white sweater from Talbots. Poor Joe….torture him some more….lol!
He deserves all the torture I give him. 🤣
Great haul!
Since I retired, I can totally relate to your quality time with Joe!!
Denise
Joe is a lot like my hubby when it comes to riding or driving in a car. Mine wants to keep moving. It doesn’t matter if he has to go five miles out of the way, he wants to keep moving. No slow traffic or red lights. I’m much more patient than he is. ha!
Oh I love this post! Great clothes! And the story is such a married couple story, hilarious! One time you told us your favorite drink at sonic and I wanted to try it but couldn’t remember what it was, lol, can you tell me what it is please?
I love Sonic drinks! My favorite is a diet Sprite with Cranberry and Vanilla flavoring.
Love your posts!
I’d like to try your lash boost. Thank you
Alicia, I sent you an email. Let me know if you didn’t get it.
I like that dress.
Love the poncho!
Love the Loft jeans- thanks for the reviews and recommendations.
I love each of these outfits for different reasons!
