Try On Haul For Fall With Styles From J.Jill

If you’ve ever shopped at J.Jill, you know that their clothing is of great quality. The clothing is well-made and will last for years and years. The only issue I’ve had with J.Jill is that they carry a lot of colors like navy, brown, grey, black, etc., but not very much clothing that is colorful. I love neutrals, but I like throwing in some brighter colors also. The other day, I went for a try-on haul for fall with styles from J.Jill, and I was thrilled to see so many gorgeous and colorful clothing.

I know this isn’t colorful, but it was the first outfit I tried on. This is an outfit that would look great this fall with a pair of brown ankle boots, and each piece can be worn with multiple items.

Here is the look without the puffer vest. The sweater is the perfect length for wearing with leggings, and since it is relaxed and slightly oversized, I went with a small. The Border-Printed Diamond Scarf adds some color and interest to the outfit and includes lots of fall colors.

I love the color of the Quilted & Smocked Down Puffer Vest. It is a wonderful neutral shade of beige, and it almost looks like light gold or champagne. You could wear this with sooo much this fall and winter. A vest is great at keeping your core warm, and when the weather turns COLD, you can layer it under a coat for extra heat. The store didn’t have a medium, which I would have preferred, so I’m wearing a small.

Look…it is a colorful sweater! The Wisteria Micro-Tweed Seamed Sweater is so cute and looks great with the Boyfriend Jeans. I loved these jeans so much that they came home with me. Before I went into the store, I told myself that I only needed a couple of pairs of jeans. This pair looked and fit so well that I couldn’t say no.

I love the tweedy look of the sweater. The sweater has drop sleeves and ribbing on the neck, hem, and sleeves for a nice fitted detail. I love the Wisteria color, but it is also available in blue version. I think it runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium which fits perfectly.

I wanted to bring out the white specks in the sweater, so I paired it with these High-Rise Straight-Leg Jeans. These jeans are winter white instead of the bright white you normally see in summer. They give off a softer vibe which works great with the tweedy sweater. I’m wearing a size 8, so I think they run TTS.

To give the outfit a slightly more fall vibe, I added this gorgeous Faux-Suede Jacket. The chestnut color just looks like fall. The jacket will elevate any outfit you choose to wear it with, and I would love to style it with a pair of jeans and a chambray shirt.

This is a very colorful outfit!!! Can you believe this tee and cardigan is from J.Jill? Lol! The tee has a tiny bit of spandex, allowing it to move and stretch with you. I love the color (Gem), but it is available in lots of other colors. I’m wearing a small, which fits me nicely. I saw that someone mentioned it was a slim fit, but I didn’t find that to be the case.

Look how colorful this Utopia Mixed-Textures Cardigan is! I was immediately drawn to the cardigan, and I can see it being a fall staple!!! The cardigan has small purple specks in it, so that’s why I decided to add the bright tee under it. The sweater runs oversized, and I would prefer a medium, but the store didn’t have one.

You know that I’m going to try on a Cabled Polo Sweater if I see one! I love a cable knit sweater, they are my weakness!

The quality of this sweater leaps off the page! It is so nice and cozy, and the polo-style neckline is on trend. I’m wearing a medium, and the sweater is slightly oversized. If you want a slimmer fit, then I suggest sizing down. You can also grab this sweater in a vibrant green which is so pretty.

Here is another pretty cardigan for fall. The deep fig color is a beautiful color for fall, and the draping is very flattering.

You can see the texture of the cardigan much better in this photo. Did you see the post I did about a coatigan? I would consider this a coatigan since it is like a coat or jacket in a sweater material. It would be perfect for throwing on over a tee or shirt on a crisp fall morning.

Did this outfit get your attention??? It certainly got mine when I saw it!

This is a corduroy moto jacket, and I don’t think I’ve seen one before. I love the evergreen color, which is slightly muted. The jacket is also available in brown color, but the green is what got my attention! It fits great, and I’m kicking myself in the rear for leaving the store without it!

This is the same Faux-Suede Jacket that I wore above with the purple tee. I wanted to show you how it would look with a simple white tee and jeans. The Perfect Reversible Tank can be worn as a v-neck or a scoop neck, and I love having the different options. However, the store was out of a large, so I’m wearing a medium which is way too tight. The High-Rise Creased-Front Full-Leg Jeans are the other pair of jeans that came home with me. I love the color, the fit, and the full-leg style, and the length was great too. I’m not sure why they call these a creased front; I don’t see a crease…do you?

  1. Tania, I struggle with moto jackets-I love the look but my stop is usually longer than the jacket. Is that a problem?

    1. I don’t think of that as a problem. But, sometimes I will tuck in my shirt to keep that from happening.

  2. I like the green modo jacket. Also the brown jacket and brown sweater with the ivory pants are my favorite outfits. Those three colors are in my closet. I’ve bought two burgundy or wine pieces to get out of my comfort zone so far this fall.

    1. I’m really loving burgundy and wine this year. I have more coming. Lol!

  3. I’ve never shopped at J. Jill but these clothing pieces are gorgeous! I’ll try out some of them. Thanks, Tania!

  4. Hi Tania, I am so happy that you modeled J Jill clothing. That is my favorite store to shop at, in fact, the only! It was great seeing the different outfits on you. I am retired now and don’t need many clothes, but still go into the store every month and visit with my friends (sales ladies) and see the new collections. And, I also loved the green moto jacket on you…will have to check it out!!

  5. You are giving me some awesome ideas!! 😀😀

  9. I love everything you showed!

  10. Pat Ferguson says:

My favorite was the cabled polo sweater……but I would have sized down. Just about everything from this try on looked too big on you, in my opinion.

    1. Pat, the sweater was too big on me. That is the issue about going to the stores, they don’t have all the sizes.
