Try On Haul For Fall With Styles From J.Jill
If you’ve ever shopped at J.Jill, you know that their clothing is of great quality. The clothing is well-made and will last for years and years. The only issue I’ve had with J.Jill is that they carry a lot of colors like navy, brown, grey, black, etc., but not very much clothing that is colorful. I love neutrals, but I like throwing in some brighter colors also. The other day, I went for a try-on haul for fall with styles from J.Jill, and I was thrilled to see so many gorgeous and colorful clothing.
I know this isn’t colorful, but it was the first outfit I tried on. This is an outfit that would look great this fall with a pair of brown ankle boots, and each piece can be worn with multiple items.
Here is the look without the puffer vest. The sweater is the perfect length for wearing with leggings, and since it is relaxed and slightly oversized, I went with a small. The Border-Printed Diamond Scarf adds some color and interest to the outfit and includes lots of fall colors.
I love the color of the Quilted & Smocked Down Puffer Vest. It is a wonderful neutral shade of beige, and it almost looks like light gold or champagne. You could wear this with sooo much this fall and winter. A vest is great at keeping your core warm, and when the weather turns COLD, you can layer it under a coat for extra heat. The store didn’t have a medium, which I would have preferred, so I’m wearing a small.
Look…it is a colorful sweater! The Wisteria Micro-Tweed Seamed Sweater is so cute and looks great with the Boyfriend Jeans. I loved these jeans so much that they came home with me. Before I went into the store, I told myself that I only needed a couple of pairs of jeans. This pair looked and fit so well that I couldn’t say no.

I love the tweedy look of the sweater. The sweater has drop sleeves and ribbing on the neck, hem, and sleeves for a nice fitted detail. I love the Wisteria color, but it is also available in blue version. I think it runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium which fits perfectly.
I wanted to bring out the white specks in the sweater, so I paired it with these High-Rise Straight-Leg Jeans. These jeans are winter white instead of the bright white you normally see in summer. They give off a softer vibe which works great with the tweedy sweater. I’m wearing a size 8, so I think they run TTS.
To give the outfit a slightly more fall vibe, I added this gorgeous Faux-Suede Jacket. The chestnut color just looks like fall. The jacket will elevate any outfit you choose to wear it with, and I would love to style it with a pair of jeans and a chambray shirt.
This is a very colorful outfit!!! Can you believe this tee and cardigan is from J.Jill? Lol! The tee has a tiny bit of spandex, allowing it to move and stretch with you. I love the color (Gem), but it is available in lots of other colors. I’m wearing a small, which fits me nicely. I saw that someone mentioned it was a slim fit, but I didn’t find that to be the case.
Look how colorful this Utopia Mixed-Textures Cardigan is! I was immediately drawn to the cardigan, and I can see it being a fall staple!!! The cardigan has small purple specks in it, so that’s why I decided to add the bright tee under it. The sweater runs oversized, and I would prefer a medium, but the store didn’t have one.
You know that I’m going to try on a Cabled Polo Sweater if I see one! I love a cable knit sweater, they are my weakness!
The quality of this sweater leaps off the page! It is so nice and cozy, and the polo-style neckline is on trend. I’m wearing a medium, and the sweater is slightly oversized. If you want a slimmer fit, then I suggest sizing down. You can also grab this sweater in a vibrant green which is so pretty.
Here is another pretty cardigan for fall. The deep fig color is a beautiful color for fall, and the draping is very flattering.
You can see the texture of the cardigan much better in this photo. Did you see the post I did about a coatigan? I would consider this a coatigan since it is like a coat or jacket in a sweater material. It would be perfect for throwing on over a tee or shirt on a crisp fall morning.
Did this outfit get your attention??? It certainly got mine when I saw it!
This is a corduroy moto jacket, and I don’t think I’ve seen one before. I love the evergreen color, which is slightly muted. The jacket is also available in brown color, but the green is what got my attention! It fits great, and I’m kicking myself in the rear for leaving the store without it!
This is the same Faux-Suede Jacket that I wore above with the purple tee. I wanted to show you how it would look with a simple white tee and jeans. The Perfect Reversible Tank can be worn as a v-neck or a scoop neck, and I love having the different options. However, the store was out of a large, so I’m wearing a medium which is way too tight. The High-Rise Creased-Front Full-Leg Jeans are the other pair of jeans that came home with me. I love the color, the fit, and the full-leg style, and the length was great too. I’m not sure why they call these a creased front; I don’t see a crease…do you?
What pieces were your favorite??? Here are a few other new arrivals that weren’t at the store I shopped.

Love the moto jacket. You should have bought it! Love fall colors, but I need a little more color most days.
My favorites were the moto jacket and the cable sweater. Please tell me more about the ballet flats you have on. I’m looking for a square toe pair.

Thanks for this J Jill post. As a person that is casual most of the time, I love seeing you highlight some of their items.
Love the speckled sweater!
I love that moto jacket too! You look great in it!
Nice selection, my favorite was the Marled V-Neck. On an earlier post I read about coatigans and purchased one at Kohl’s.
I love the first outfit and the cable knit sweater. Thanks for the tips on how they fit. That is helpful to know. Glad to know whether something is oversized or true-to-size. Now if I could just order bras online rather than spend all that time in the dressing room looking for just the right one. I may give online a try and order some Warners bras.
I think you’ll be happy! Thanks for the great feedback, Deanna. 🙂
I found a pair of J Jill girlfriend jeans at a thrift shop and I am hooked! I like everything you showed today, and you look great in those purple colors!
Love the Moto Jacket! Looks great on you and now it’s in my cart.
I love JJill and have several pieces from there. But, I can only shop when I visit the US because the exchange, duty and shipping for Canadians just make their merchandise so unaffordable. My favourite piece in this collection is the marled sweater. I am not a fan of V necks, so I like the scarf with it.
Yesterday, I had just finished putting my summer clothes in the spare bedroom closet when I heard a loud crash. Yes, the rod had crashed. The clothes are now all over the floor in that room and my brother and his wife are coming for a visit in a few days.
My husband has been out to buy all the stuff he needs to get it up again. But, I will have to go out and buy some storage boxes for the things on the shelf. I also have a huge rod suspended in the basement for off season clothes. This makes me wonder how you are able to store all your clothes?
Karen, I’ve had that happen more than once. Lol! I have four bedrooms in the house, and we only use one. So…I have out of season and overflow clothing in the other bedrooms.
Super cute items from JJill. Especially like the first vest outfit on you and the moto jacket! LOL I ordered the Warner bar too! You can never have too many bras!!
Hope the leaves are turning your way. My girls hiking clubs annual trip is next week. One day, I want to come and meet you. Have great weekend!
