Pink is one of my favorite colors, and every time that I wear something in pink, I’ll start singing Pink by Aerosmith. I think that I might have made up a few of the lyrics because the version that I sing isn’t the real lyrics. Lol!

If you are like me, you find that a lot of songs that you sing might not be the exact lyrics of the song. In our defense, some lyrics are hard to understand, and some of them don’t even make sense. But, the lyrics of “Pink” are, Pink, it’s the color of passion ‘Cause today it just goes with the fashion and those are perfect for today’s This or That post.

I think you are going to have a tough time deciding which of these outfits you like the best, so I bet we’ll see a lot of BOTH comments. Let’s start with THIS outfit first. This No-Iron Stretch Island Shirt is a show stopper! As soon as I saw the shirt, I hit the Add To Cart button! I love that it is No-Iron, but it is the gorgeous print that stopped me in my tracks. You can wear this with so many things, and I can’t wait to wear this shirt again when Joe and I go out to eat. I’m wearing a size 1, and I have plenty of room and not bumps and lumps showing.

Here is the view where you can see the length of the shirt. It is plenty long enough to cover your bottom half and would look great with a pair of crop leggings.

To bring out the lemons in the print, I added a pair of Lemon Stretch Bracelets. This pair is adorable, and I’ll wear them with white, navy, pink, gray, etc., They stretch over your hand, so you don’t have to worry about fastening them.

Instead of wearing white or colored pants, I decided to wear these So Slimming Girlfriend Roll Hem Jeans in the color of Blush Stone Indigo. I love the very slight distressing on the jeans, and the rolled cuff hem that keeps the outfit looking casual. The cuff can be unrolled iof you prefer, and the length would then be 26.6″ long. I’m wearing size .05 in these, and I think they run TTS. Here are a few jeans that would also look great with this shirt.

The Island T-Strap Sandals that feature lemons are sooooo cute! I couldn’t wait to get these sandals, and they are everything that I was hoping for and more. The sandals add a touch of fun and whimsy to any outfit while the padded sole keeps your feet happy. I am thrilled that Chicos is now carrying shoes, and they seem just as nice as their clothing and jewelry. These sandals run TTS, and I’m wearing my usual size 9.

Now, let’s look at the Pretty in Pink outfit number two, aka THAT. I know that a lot of you haven’t gotten used to seeing dresses and tops so oversized and flowy, but once you hop onboard this trend, you’ll be so happy you did!

I wore this Modern Peasant Dress out to dinner on the Sunset Terrace at the Omni Grove Park Inn while I was in Asheville a couple of weekends ago. The dress makes a huge statement and is elegant looking. Plus, since I was wearing it to dinner, I loved that the dress didn’t touch my stomach in any way. Lol! I love the casual look of the dress, but it can be worn to any event you choose. If you are going on a vacation, be sure to have this dress packed in your suitcase for a night out. I’m wearing my usual size 1, and it fits me great.

Here is a look at the back of the dress. You can see how the smocking on the shoulders create lots of mini pleats.

With a dress this bright and bold, I didn’t wear a lot of jewelry. I added a pair of yellow and pink ball earrings, but they have already sold out online. I almost ordered these Hoop Earrings with a pink flower, and I think they would have looked great also.

This Jute Flower Tote is stunning!!! Normally, I think of a straw tote as something that I would carry at the beach, but this tote is one that I would carry any time. It would look great with a summer tee and shorts outfit, or with jeans and a button-up shirt. The ways to carry this tote is endless!

Are you tired of seeing me wear these White Beaded T-Strap Sandals? I’ve worn them a lot lately because they match anything and everything. I love these so much that I’m thinking about grabbing the blue version also. The sandals run TTS, and I’m wearing my usual size 9.

  1. Love them both, but would probably have to choose THAT! I love pink!

  2. I would pick “this.” At first glance, it’s striking! I may have seen it on the website, but not until I saw it on you would I consider it!
The “that” is just a bit too bright for me and dresses like this tend to look like a sack on me. I do love the color though and with that bag…perfection!

  3. “This” works for me better because it suits a more casual but put-together look, lifestyle. Love “this”shirt! While “That” is lovely also, it seems a little dressy and probably wouldn’t get worn as much.

  4. THIS! Looks super flattering on you.
I’m just not a fan of the oversized flowy dresses in any body shape really. Hard to find a great flattering fit with them. Love the color though.

  5. You look great in both outfits, but I would chose This. I love the print on the shirt, and it can be worn with so many things.

  6. I am totally a “that” girl!! Though I thought you looked beautiful in both outfits (as always) the blouse in “this” is not my thing.

  7. Both outfits look great on you, but I love the floral print blouse for me. Love your blog. Roena

  8. Both outfits are stunning and look great on you. I only know that the pink dress would be a one or two time wear as it is very memorable.

  9. Both. So cute! Love the lemon sandals

  10. I like the This outfit best. The long, flowy, shapeless dresses aren’t flattering on anybody really.

  11. barb from Canada says:

I prefer the pink maxi for myself. Would enjoy it for a beach vacation or cruise. You styled it perfectly with just the right vibe.

  12. I vote for This! That is beautiful, but the style doesn’t look as good on me because I am 5’4″ and busty.

  13. I love this top with the colorful print. I will be ordering that one. I love the color of the dress but will never be on board with this flow trend. It is one we will look back on and think why? It flatters no one. The shoes and bags are adorable too.

  14. THIS! Love that look. You look great in both, but the jeans are more my style.

  15. THIS is my choice I LOVE that shirt !!! I.m not onboard with the oversize flowy trend yet but I think you look great in both !!!

  16. I agree with Sue that I have to pass on those flowing dresses because with my extra weight they just make me look even bigger. I really like THIS outfit. Looks casual and comfy but nice enough to be out and about with it on. I like the length of the pants and the no iron shirt is fab.

  17. I prefer the jeans and top but the dress is perfect for a summer night out on a date night.

  18. This for me because the dress would overwhelm me. I’m petite. Both look great on you!

  19. Sue Quinn says:

It’s the shirt and jeans for me. That’s precisely my style. I think the dress looks great on you and I adore pink, but right now I’m heavier and I’ve found that loose flowy dresses just make me look bigger right now. When I get back down to where I should be, the pink one would probably work for me.

  20. BOTH! You look great in both outfits. The dress looks so vibrant and comfortable but it would overwhelm my frame. Perfect for women who are taller than 5’4”.

  21. Gayle M Davis says:

I love them both, but would have to say, This is my pick. I don’t wear sleeveless anymore or That would be my choice!!

  22. Mary Ruth Harden says:

Love the island shirt! And jeans.
Long dresses and my short statue, I just feel shorter.

  23. Love both, but I’m inspired to buy the jeans in THIS outfit. I know they’re a girlfriend fit and I generally go with a skinny fit, but on you they appear pretty skinny. Would you consider the legs to be somewhat skinny?

  24. I vote for that because I love dresses during the summer time.

  25. LDaughtry says:

I love the jeans and island shirt!

  26. Both on you and THIS for me! At barely 5 foot I feel that dress would just swallow means I would look as wide as I am tall!

  27. Both are cute on you, but I pick the the Jean outfit! Love the shirt!!

  28. Elizabeth says:

Both are wonderful! Those lemons sandals are fabulous.

  29. I vote for This! While both are very nice I feel more comfortable in jeans and a shirt. The dress exposes my arms and I’d feel like I may trip due to the length

  30. Both! But I especially love AEROSMITH!

  31. Lorrie J Hojnacki says:

THIS! Is so cute, flattering dressed up or down. Love it.

  32. I love THAT outfit! I prefer solids to prints, love dresses (not sure about this silhouette but now want to try it!) and I love the accessories you chose to go with it. The THIS outfit is cute on you but the print on the shirt is too large for me and I dislike cropped and/or distressed jeans. Plus it’s way too hot for jeans in the summer where I live.

  33. I really like THIS. I do have some flowy dresses but I don’t like sleeveless ones so that may be why I’d pass on THAT. You look great in both, but THIS is very flattering.

  34. Definitely “this” is my choice. Love the print of the shirt.

  35. Love both but that wins as I love pulling on a dress, one and done! For the record have said many times I hate it when I am singing along to a song on the radio and the artist gets the lyrics wrong!

  36. Julia Gilbert says:

    BOTH! Love the accessories…

  37. I love both! I have to admit that I am hesitant to join the long flowy dress trend. I am 5’2” and even the petites can drag. Sometimes hemming is not a good option- border design, tiers that when hemmed throws proportional balance off.

  38. I love THAT one! Ha! I’m all about flowy bright dresses this year.

  39. I couldn’t decide, so I ordered both. I like the hacienda look of this long dress. I’m just not a fan of distressed jeans.

  40. The jeans and lovely top. It is so gorgeous and casual. Plus I never ever do sleeveless

  41. Love both outfits! I have to get both of them!

  42. I know you like those loose, peasant dresses, but they do nothing for your figure. They just hang. Love the color, but not crazy about the style of any of that style dress. Love the jute bag with the color of the dress – just not a fan of the dress on you or anyone. I do like the jeans outfit a lot. Looks great on you.

  43. Susan Dingmore says:

Both are adorable and look great; and with that being said, I’m a THIS kinda girl! I would get more use out of the floral top & jeans than I would the long pink long pink dress. For me, the long pink dress would be more for special occasions while the floral top & jeans would easily work into my everyday wardrobe. So it’s a THIS for me!

  44. Love the this! The shirt is perfect for summer, crisp and cool. Well put together casual outfit! On the other hand, that, just isn’t something I would wear or buy. It look lovely on you but I’m not a fan of the huge flowy style.

  45. Aleatha Roseke says:

    I like THIS! Pretty!

  46. Maribeth Conklin says:

    GM
For me its the pink dress for a win.
