FRIDAY CASUAL STYLE WITH NEUTRALS
HELLO, FRIDAY!!! Are you as excited as I am to see Friday roll around? The days have all blurred together because I was gone last weekend, and I didn’t come back to Virginia until Tuesday. I feel like I am trying to catch up, but I’m not sure what I’m chasing. Lol!
Last night, I asked Joe if he wanted to run out for appetizers and drinks. He looked at me like I had grown three heads. I am always working, so he asked me, “are you finished working for the night?” It was crazy that it was 8 PM, and I was still doing stuff, so I told him to grab some clothes because we were heading out for the night. I’m trying to remind myself that there will always be stuff that I could do, but most of it can wait until another day. So, I’ve decided to adopt Scarlett O’Hara’s attitude, “I’ll think about that tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day.” Lol!
I wanted to show you a patio project that Joe is working on for me. This fire pit was here when we bought the house, but it was made for wood instead of gas.
So, we ordered this gorgeous fire pan to turn it into a gas fire pit instead. The rock cap on top of the pit creates some issues because the rocks are not smooth. It is leaving holes around the pan, so we called my dad for a consultation. He works with stone all of the time, so he gave Joe a few ideas on how to fix the problem. I hope that I’ll get to show you an after photo before long. Dad better hope this works, or he will have to be making a trip to Virginia to fix it for me. Lol!
I love mesh sweaters in the summer. They are cool, and I love the open weave material. I already have a few similar sweaters, but this mocha-colored Textured Open-Stitch Sweater called my name. It must have also called a lot of people’s names because it is sold out in this color. When I ordered the sweater, it was available in mocha, white, and light blue. Since I already have a white and blue one, I ordered the mocha one. Everything is now sold out except for the blue, which I figured would be the first color to sell out. I’m wearing a medium, and the fit is excellent.
Here is a view of the sweater’s length. I added an optic white Microfiber Tank under the sweater because of the mesh weave. These are great layering tanks because they fit snugly, and the microfiber material keeps most shirts from sticking to them. I recommend ordering up a size if you want to wear them alone. I’m wearing a size 2 in this tank, but I also have it in size 1 for when I want to wear a tighter-fitting shirt over it.
The Sand & Shore Statement Necklace is a great look for summer. It is lightweight and has layers, so you don’t have to worry about creating the look yourself. The only issue I have with the necklace is trying to keep the cords from becoming tangled. Hint… don’t throw the necklace in a pocket. Lol!
I’m wearing three Riveria Stretch Bracelets in neutral. These bracelets look expensive, and I love the neutral color. It is hard to see them in this photo; the sun was too bright to get the different colors. I’m also wearing a pair of Gold Statement Hoops, one of my favorites, and you see me wearing them all of the time.
I didn’t think that this Crossbody Handbag by Coach would be one I would like. Usually, I’m not a big fan of the Signature Jacquard pattern, but I love the Light Khaki Chalk combination. This crossbody can go with dressy or casual looks, and I love the bag’s versatility.
I’m wearing a pair of Relaxed Chinos that I wore with the Nautical Look on Wednesday. Usually, I wear jeans, but these White Relaxed Chinos instead are a great alternative. Ladies who don’t like to wear shorts might enjoy chinos to keep cool. These are lightweight, and I love the fit. I’m wearing an 8, and they fit great and don’t show your undergarments.
The last part of my look is my shoes. I’m wearing a pair of Linen Espadrille Sandals in a Natural color. These have a lower heel height at 1 1/2,” and that is doable for almost everyone. The shoes are comfortable, and the color will go with anything. These would make a great shoe for dresses, pants, or shorts. They run TTS, and I’m wearing my usual size 9.

Really like the outfit and the accessories. The colors are amazing and you look great.
You look great in those neutral colors! I can’t wear them but love your outfit. And I have to say how slim you look!
What a pretty outfit that you could wear to do just about anything. I can’t wait to see the completed project Joe is working on for you.
Great outfit. Love it. Have you moved?
Love this look and color combo! The necklace really sets it off! Beautiful choice
I love that look! I hate that it is sold out in that color! Very pretty!
Great sweater! I don’t think to look at sweaters in the summertime, but the mesh style would definitely work. This color, and the whole neutral outfit looks very sophisticated.
I bought that same mocha sweater and I LOVE IT! wondering how to wear brachlets with an apple watch?
The mocha looks great on you ( I wash out, need color to brighten me!)
Have you ever done a Try-on from Amazon? Love so much from them, even their jewelry!
