THIS IS MY NEW UNIFORM LATELY

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is a relaxing rose colored v-neck tunic tee, navy Ponte knit leggings, and black flip flops by Tory Burch. How is everyone doing? I took most of the day off and just enjoyed the day. Lucy and I went out on the porch for a little bit, and I enjoyed sitting in the sun and just relaxing. Joe had gone golfing, so it was only Lucy and me all by our lonesome today. I cleaned up and put on my makeup, but then decided to wear my “uniform,” more about that later.

I did a quick video the other day of a new mascara that I was trying, and I uploaded it to my Instagram stories. Putting on my makeup makes me feel better, and I know that Joe thinks I look better. Lol!!! Anyway, people were commenting on and loving the video. But, one person felt that I shouldn’t be doing videos about mascara during a pandemic. It is funny how some people want to have some levity and entertainment in there lives to take their minds off of world events, and others only want headline news on 24/7. I guess that it is safe to say that she isn’t reading my blog today. Hahaha! BTW, I put up a video on a beginner smokey eye if you want to check that out.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is a relaxing rose colored tunic teeThis week has been all about the t-shirt. A t-shirt can be white, black, or colored. It can also be long-sleeved, short-sleeved, sleeveless, v-neck, scoop-neck, or crew-neck. And, then we get into different lengths, such as regular, crop, and tunic. This is the first tunic tee that I’ve bought, but I don’t think that it will be the last. I love this t-shirt, and I wish that it came in 40 different colors.

This color is called Dazzling Rose, but I think that it looks like rust in person. I like the color; I just don’t consider it a rose color. The top is lightweight, but it is perfect for the upcoming summer months. I love the deep v-neckline and the high split on each side. I am wearing a size medium in this top, and it is plenty roomy. The shirt is already on sale, but if you use the code CYBER, you’ll get an extra 50% off your entire purchase! Here is the link.

I have been living in this pair of Ponte leggings. They are high-waisted, and they are the perfect length and weight. The reason that I like this pair is that they don’t seem to make me sweat. I had read somewhere that leggings made from cotton are the most comfortable, but these are made from 68% Rayon, 27% Nylon, 5% Spandex. I am on the lookout for some made with cotton, and if I find some, you know that I’ll be sure to share with all of you. The size that I am wearing is a large, and that is usually what I will order when it comes to leggings. Here is the link, but since sizes are so limited, I link a few others that are almost identical.

She said that she wanted a pair that didn’t hurt her feet. I told her that my favorite pair of flip flops were these from Tory Burch. It has NOTHING to do with the brand, and everything to do with how they feel. I like cheap flip flops that are rubber so that I can wear them around the pool, the ocean, or when I am playing in the dirt. But, after I bought this pair, I got rid of all of the rest of them. They are stiff for the most part, but these are so comfortable. The fact that they are stylish is just a plus in my book. I don’t think that Mom bought them since she wanted to wear them to the chicken house, but I highly recommend them anyway. Lol! The chickens want to see you looking your best. Hahaha, Here is the link to these shoes.

I am someone who stays motivated when I have a goal to try and accomplish. I have a goal that I set last month in my R+F business, and I have to hit that goal for 4 months in a roll. Last month I hit my goal, but this month I am behind where I need to be. SO, that means that you are going to benefit from my goal setting. I am having a sale of a few of my favorite products, and you can buy them even if you are not my customer. Here is the low-down:

Lash Boost

– Need I say more!!! This little tube of goodness will last you 3-4 months, and it can help you get longer looking, fuller looking lashes. No more extensions, no more glue or magnets. Just one swipe every night before you go to bed. Price as my Preferred Customer is 139.00, but, you will receive a refund of 14.00 PLUS a tube of Body Moisturizer. The Price for someone who is not my customer is 125.00 plus 5.00 shipping, and you will also receive a tube of Body Moisturizer.

Active Hydration Serum – I use this 2x a day. I am obsessed!!! It raises the skin’s hydration level by 200% after just one use and maintains continuous hydration for eight hours. Older skin needs hydration to keep from looking crepey. Price as my Preferred Customer is 100.00, but, you will receive a refund of 10.00 PLUS a tube of Body Moisturizer. The Price for someone who is not my customer is 90.00 plus 5.00 shipping, and you will also receive a tube of Body Moisturizer.

Active Hydration Body Replenish and Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream – The Active Hydration Serum is for your face, and this Body Replenish is for your body. Look at your skin, does it look in need of a drink of water? Since I have always had skin as dry as the Sahara Desert, this product was the one that I let out a squeal when I heard it was coming. I LOVE this big old jar of goodness. And, the eye cream from R+F is unbelievable. When I started using this eye cream, I had to pull the skin tight on my eyelids before I applied eyeshadow. Now, my eyelids have lifted (no more droopy eye), and I no longer have to pull and tug on my eyelids. Plus, as a bonus, almost all of those pesky crows feet have disappeared. The Price for both of these products as my Preferred Customer is 116.00, but, you will receive a refund of 11.00 PLUS a tube of Body Moisturizer. The Price for both of these products as someone who is not my customer is 105.00 plus 5.00 shipping, and you will also receive a tube of Body Moisturizer.

  1. Wear makeup most days, feel better about myself and don’t want to scare anyone ?

  2. I’m with you on makeup. It’s been a habit of mine since the late 70s when I read a book title Sidetracked Home Executives. The writers said, and I’m paraphrasing loosely here, that if you wear makeup out you should wear it at home. In the beginning of this new habit I would sometimes catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror or reflected in a toaster (lol remember chrome toasters that catapulted the toast into the air?). I’d be pleasantly surprised. Far better than looking like the homeless woman on the median strip down the street at the freeway on-ramp. Plus nowadays most good quality foundations contain some measure of SPF. Later in life I sold a Mary Kay for a time and part of selling technique taught us was dress for work before making calls. Lots of cold calling back then before Al Gore invented the internet lol.

Nowadays my abreviated routine may skip eyeliner and lipliner, just using mascara and gloss but foundation is essential to protect my skin from not only outdoor sun exposure but blue light exposure from LED and fluorescent lighting inside. Anyone who thinks looking nice is not good just cuz there’s a pandemic must have rocks in their head. I mean I try to be open minded about stuff but not so open minded my brains spill out on the ground!

I was a hippie chick in the 60s and early 70s during the era of no bras or makeup. I look at pix of me back then and I notice how lovely my 20 year old skin was. Maybe if I could achieve that with just juvederm and Botox I would but I can’t. Need to cover the ravages of time best I can!

    1. My “normal” is no makeup & comfy clothes since I’m retired. I do like to dress up & wear makeup when I go out. I’ve only left the house 3 times, other than a daily walk in the neighborhood for the past 6 weeks. I went to Home Depot a couple of days ago to get some flowers, herbs & tomato plants. Although I put on a baseball cap I did use a little blush & eyeliner….and I wore a cute shirt with jeans and put on earrings & bracelets ?
My days have been filled with working in my yard, so I dress for that.
And just because we are in the middle of some very strange times doesn’t mean we aren’t entitled to some fun & diversion. Post all you want about cute clothes & makeup. I’ll continue to look forward to reading every day!

Lucky Joe, that the golf courses are still open – that was the first thing that caught my eye in this post! My husband is having withdrawls (we are in So Cal). As for me, I do put makeup on daily, but limited to mascara and lipstick unless there’s a Zoom meeting going on- even though my meetings are with 33 nine and ten year olds!

  4. Joyce Kasper says:

Love your posts and the fact you are “so real”. We could be Bestee’s. I placed my first order with Loft just now. I’m impressed they will take gentling used clothing thru their return box for charity’s. That’s great!!! Thank you for being YOU and for your expression of your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ?Stay Healthy!!

  5. Tania-I love reading your blog everyday. You are so sweet and down to earth! As far as makeup goes-I wear makeup and do my hair daily! It just makes me feel good about myself. I love the coral tunic you posted today, but very limited stock. Hopefully they will restock.

  6. Gail Barger says:

?LOVE this Tunic Tee! I ordered it in the gray (they were out of the rose in my size). Code LOVE didn’t work for 50% off, however, Code CYBER did! Thanks! Btw, I received my Rue bracelet and absolutely love it!…Now I’m addicted to Kendra Scott and have ordered several other items…I will blame my purchases on you ?

    1. Hahaha! I love that you have me to blame for your addiction. I am so glad that the bracelet made it and that you love it! Thanks for the heads up about the code. When I posted last night LOVE was the code, they must have changed it overnight.

  7. Tell your mom to try Clarks Cloudstepper flip flops. I never thought I’d find flip flops that are comfy – these are amazing!

    1. I’ll be sure to tell her about these. Thanks for commenting.

  8. Yes to make-up every day and yes to reading, seeing, doing things other than Covid-19 24/7!! Trying to create normalcy on a daily basis is what keeps my spirits up during this pandemic. Thank YOU for all you do in your posts to keep all our spirits up with a sense of normalcy!!

    1. Marlene, I need a sense of normalcy also. It helps me feel like I am not a victim.

  9. I wear makeup daily. I’m working from home but kept my routine simply because it makes things feel a little more normal. I’ve been wearing jeans to keep my snacking habits in check, Ha! I love the long t-shirt and leggings. It looks comfortable but very put together. With dressy sandals and jewelry, it would become a really dressy outfit as well. Very cute. Tania, pay no attention to the nay sayers. I saw your mascara video and I thought it was great. We need some diversion right now. Thank you for what you do…it helps me keep my sanity.

    1. Angela, I think that wearing jeans is a fantastic idea for keeping the snacking in check. I am going to have to remember that!

  10. I haven’t worn make-up in years. I am simply too lazy to take the time and when I see all of the products and tools people recommend using and buying, I figure I will just save the money. Love the leggings and tunic tee…wish it was elbow length sleeves. I have a hideous scar on my arm that I always hide so I need my sleeves to be elbow length or longer (unfortunately). I have found the most comfortable flip flops to be Sanuk. They are made from yoga mats and are so easy on the feet. I wear them constantly during the summer. Have a great day!

    1. Michele, you have probably saved a ton of money over the years. Lol!
