The Best Hydrating Skincare for Women Over 50

Lord have mercy, it’s hot! I have been drinking so much water I see the bathroom more than I see Joe, lol. It’s a small price to pay for hydration! Keeping hydrated is always a good idea and that goes big time for our skin. As we age, our skin tends to lose moisture more easily. Keeping it hydrated helps it stay soft and smooth. Also, hydrated skin is plumper and more elastic. This means it can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, making us look younger. Yes, please! Today, I’m sharing the best hydrating skincare for women over 50. Let’s get into it.

The Best Hydrating Skincare for Women Over 50

I’ve got one word for you—snails. Lol. On one hand, it’s formulated with 96.3% snail secretion. On the other hand, you’ll look great! It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly, and gives a natural, healthy glow without feeling heavy. It’s perfect for soothing and deeply moisturizing dehydrated and damaged skin, and don’t worry—no snails are harmed in the process! My daughter swears by this, and I must admit she looks fantastic.

I love a good face mask! These have hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and aloe vera, which help your skin feel super smooth and soft. The collagen peptides are to firm up your skin, which will make you look younger. Plus, the chamomile and aloe vera are great for calming any redness or blemishes. They’re perfect for everyone since they’re oil-free, alcohol-free, and hypoallergenic. Definitely a great addition to your skincare routine!

Here’s another great mask – this time to wear overnight. Sorry, honey, you may look like you’re sleeping with a serial killer, but my skin will look FABULOUS in the morning, lol. With “oligo-hyaluronic” acid, this mask goes deeper than regular hyaluronic acid for super moisturized skin. It also tightens pores and improves elasticity, always a good thing. Plus, it has probiotics to strengthen your skin’s barrier. And don’t worry, it’s hypoallergenic and safe for all skin types, even sensitive skin!

Alright, let’s talk about the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask. Berry fruit, murumuru seed ( I have no idea what that is, but Google says it’s a type of butter), and shea butter nourish and hydrate your lips while you sleep. That’s my favorite way to hydrate, lol. Just slather it on before bed, and you’ll wake up with smooth, supple lips that are ready to take on the day. It’s a must-have for anyone dealing with dry, flaky lips!

e.l.f. SKIN Holy Hydration! Lip Mask
I had to include this lip mask from Elf. You know I always try to give you an affordable option and this one is a great deal at under $10 dollars. It’s non-sticky and has a sweet berry flavor, so lick your lips as much as you like! You can wear it alone, with other lip products, or slather it on before bed for an overnight moisture boost. Plus, it’s vegan and cruelty-free!

These remind me of the wax lips we used to wear as kids. Surely I’m not the only one who remembers those! These little gel masks are perfect for tackling dry, chapped lips and fine lines. They actually dissolve at body temperature, so they absorb quickly! They come in individually sealed pouches, so you don’t have to worry about them drying out, and they’re easy to pack along for trips.

It’s not just your face- your body needs to be hydrated too. I know because I have the WORST dry skin. This lotion is amazing for keeping your skin hydrated after a day in the sun. Like most of these that I’ve featured, it has aloe vera, shea butter, and cocoa butter. I don’t love strong scents, but this lime scent is light and breezy. Plus, it’s cruelty-free, which is always a win. Use it to keep your tan looking great and your skin feeling soft and refreshed!

Sun Bum Cool Down Aloe Vera Gel
What happens when you get sunburned? You need a gel that soothes and hydrates sunburnt skin! This gel instantly cools your skin, a must! Plus, it prevents peeling and helps with pain. It’s specially formulated so that it won’t clog your pores. The reviews are great, with a 4.7-star rating. Not only do reviewers love it, but it’s also dermatologists approved!

This daily go-to is awesome because it combines sun protection with hydration. With SPF 30, it keeps your skin safe from the sun while working to keep your skin barrier strong and your face feeling super soft. It’s lightweight and oil-free, so you can use it every day without any worries. Perfect for anyone looking for a no-fuss moisturizer that gets the job done!

Tania,
I’ve been trying to find skincare for my upper legs and upper arms.. I have creepy skin.. I’m going to try
snail mucin… 😁
Cute pic of you and joe!
Great verse of the day!
I get exhausted searching for new facial and skin care. I’m ordering the Snail mucin. You talked me into it! 😉
Your comment about the bathroom cracked me up. I’m the same way. After my surgery I was told to drink these two 28 ounces containers per day. I’m doing it but it’s getting old having to go to the bathroom so much. I’m 6 weeks post op and praise God no complications.
I have used Oil of Olay moisturizer for years and swear by it.
I’ve noticed that in the heat my go-to daily facial moisturizer makes me sweat more, so I am ready to give some of the items you shared a try. I am going to order a few of them today, and hopefully they will arrive quickly.
So many great products! I love the face masks. And the lip masks! Who would have thought? Yes, the red lip mask reminds me of the wax lips we bought as a kid. I’ll have to get some for my granddaughters.
I totally agree with the snail repair. I have been using it for several months and can see a difference.
Thanks for letting everyone know it works!
Lots of good stuff here, in fact I already use several from posts you have done before! Thanks Tania!
Just bought my first Snails and got a great deal. Can’t wait to try it
Lately I’ve bought several products you’ve recommended from Elf as I’m trying to play catch up with my overly neglected skin. I’m definitely looking into the “snails”. Thanks as always for your great suggestions
Everyone seems to be saying that they love the Snail Mucin.
I love the La Rocha Posay products. Keeps my dry skin hydrated! I am scared to try the Snail Mucin. LOL
I use the snail eye cream and have been very impressed! I had been searching for a more affordable eye cream and with thousands of 4+ stars thought I’d give it a try. It’s here to stay. Currently I have a good supply of moisturizer but when depleted, I plan to purchase the snail moisturizer. As someone else mentioned, it did kinda freaked me out as well. I read up on how the mucin was collected and was satisfied that as you said, “no snails are harmed”!
Got to try that mask!!!
Hawaiian tropic after sun is nice
The whole snail thing kinda freaks me out. Is it really worth it? And what part of the snail is used? I shudder to think!!!
Cynthia, I have no idea what they use, but it is called mucin. My daughter loves it.
