The Best Boots and Booties Under $150
Fall is here, and winter is coming! Are you ready? For me, it’s not really cold weather until I put on my boots. I start wearing boots as soon as the leaves change. They’re a great way to elevate a casual look and put the finishing touch on a nice outfit. You can spend hundreds of dollars on leather or designer boots, but you don’t have to. Today, I’m sharing the best boots and booties under $150.
The Best Boots and Booties Under $150 – Tall Boots
I recently purchased these knee-high boots, and I love the quilted pattern on the back of the boots. These riding boots are great for anyone who doesn’t like a higher heel, and you can see they look great with a skirt or dress.
The quilting gives the boots an edgy look, and I LOVE it! These run true to size and are very reasonably priced.
These beauties are right on the edge at $150, but they’re from Dr. Scholl’s, a great brand. These have a block heel, a zippered closure, and a nice silver buckle detail. I think black is a color that would get a lot of wear, but they are also available in taupe.
Vince Camuto is one of my favorite shoe brands, and I love this suede scrunch boot. The boots come in several colors, but this neutral “fawn” (what I call this color) shade is my favorite.
I love a good suede boot! These are over-the-knee boots with a 19-inch shaft and a high, chunky heel. I am a fan of the brown, but they also come in black, taupe, grey, and others.
Ruched or scrunchy boots are trending big time. Marc Fisher is one of my favorite brands to buy. These have a 2.75 heel and a very pointy toe, but the reviews say they are very comfortable. If you’re looking for something with a little more “wow,” these also come in green, white, and silver!
Here’s another over-the-knee boot in a bit more casual style. I like the buckle at the back. It’s giving me motorcycle vibes. Although, I don’t think winter and motorcycles go together all that well, lol. These boots come in eight different colors, and they have a lot of fans! These have been reviewed over 7,000 times and have a 4.5-star rating.
Rounding out the tall boots section, we have a pair of cow(girl) boots! They also come in plain leather if you’re not into suede. These would look great with skinny jeans and an oversized shirt. Like many others, these have a great 4.5-star rating after 1000 reviews.
The Best Boots and Booties Under $150 – Ankle Boots
I wore this outfit in yesterday’s Taylor Swift-Inspired Reputation Era Looks for Women Over 50 post. These Coach leather ankle boots are another recent purchase, and since they are by Coach, you know they are good quality.
These boots have a rounded pointy toe and a Coach icon buckle. They are $9 over the $150 mark, but I had to include them since they are so pretty, and the quality is so good.
This suede ankle boot is waaay under the $150 mark. It is hard to believe these are real suede and under $60! I love the wrap-around strap and the block heel that gives these boots oodles of style!
I LOVE these. I love the color, the suede, and the notched topline. These are a nice quality leather available at Nordstrom and are on sale. You know what that means! Hurry up and head over before they’re gone.
The lug sole boot is trending this year. I know everyone isn’t going to be a fan of the chunky style, but I wanted to include it since they are so popular at the moment. These are on sale for under $50, so at that price, you could experiment with a product out of your comfort zone.
Here’s a similar notched boot in vegan leather. These come in 14 different colors, so you are bound to find one just for you. These are a very casual Western style that I could wear all winter long. The reviews say that these run true to size, are comfortable, and are an excellent value for the price.
Not everyone can wear a high heel, so this bootie is for you! These are 100% leather, have a very small heel, and two zippers! Rockport is a great brand, and these have 4.2 stars and 1800 reviews. They also come in nutmeg and tan if you want something other than black.
Hey now! Look at these leopard print beauties! Talk about making an entrance. Wouldn’t these look amazing with some black leggings and a camel coat? This is not the only fun option. They also come in red, sparkly silver, and many others. They’ve been reviewed over 6,000 times and have a 4.3-star rating!

I’m currently obsessing over the lug sole Chelsea boots, but am wondering about how to style them without looking like I’m trying too hard to seem younger than 50! Any chance you could post on outfits that work with this style? Thanks!
Those Rockport booties are adorable. Love the comfort of their shoes. Very well made.
Thanks for the timely post.
So glad tall boots are still in style –
I like the short booties. The western pointed toe has my attention at the moment.
The only thing I look forward to in winter is being able to wear all my boots!! I’m more of a spring and summer gal.
Can’t wait for cold weather so I can wear my boots! Love the tall suede ones.
I love boots, tall or short!
Lots of great picks but my favorite is the quilted back boots!
Those boots are awesome!
I love a tall boot – so glad they are still around!
All beautiful boots!
I love these boots! This is one thing I like about winter.
Yep, out of my size but so many other choices!
Thank you for the boot post. Loved all of your options.
Oh no, my obsession with boots just went into overdrive!!
I love the look of a skirt with boots! I feel any age can pull off this look.
Great tall boots on you
I love all the great choices for boots. Thanks for research on the best finds.
I love boots! These are all awesome choices. I can’t decide!
Love the coach ones and still a great price!
Love, love, love boots and booties!!! All of these are great and I want all of them! But what would I do with all the pairs of boots and booties I already have? 🤦♀️🤷♀️ You always pick the yummiest stuff!
Delanie, you make someone else happy.
I like the Carly Bootie Ankle Boot, I need low heels.
The knee-high riding boots are my favorite in today’s post. They look so comfortable and versatile. Your mini-me is absolutely adorable and quite the smarty pants!
She is a mess! I have another smarty pants story on her I’ll have to include in my blog soon.
Kicky boot is a must have!
This year I think I’ll try booties. I plan to wear them with a midi jeans skirt. This is out of my comfort zone! I haven’t been a fan of booties with skirts or dresses. I’d choose either black or camel. I can’t make up my mind!
I wish I could find tall boots with a narrow circumference. I have short skinny legs. I can’t find boots to fit me anywhere. I need a shaft of 14 inches and 13 inches calf circumference. I like to wear tall boots with dresses and skirts. I don’t like to wear them over jeans anymore.
So many choices and I LOVE the I pencil skirt!
I really need a new pair of boots!!!! I just can’t decide what I’m liking this year
Joe sounds just like my husband😂. I am a boot junkie so i love this post😍😍
Love these boot ideas! Last year I bought leopard print ankle pants from Chicos. My ankles do show so I was wondering if I needed a higher shaft bootie for fall/winter to cover up the skin more.
I love the boots and the pebbled faux leather leggings – great outfit!
Thank you! I was in the market for a new pair of boots and the Amazon quilted fur lined ones fit the bill. Hope they fit as they are gorgeous. I find cheaper shoes are often the most comfy and long lasting so let’s hope so!
