The Best Blushes for Women Over 50
Women have been wearing blush for thousands of years, dating back to ancient civilizations. As early as 3000 BCE, women in ancient Egypt used red ochre to color their cheeks. Why? Because the right blush can really make a difference in how fresh and vibrant you look! For mature skin, it’s all about finding a blush that adds a natural, healthy glow without settling into fine lines. Today, I’m sharing the best blushes for women over 50.

I have used both the Maybelline and Revlon blush for some years now. They are both very good. I recommend them.
I love your posts!
Btw…do you still use Rodan + Fields skincare?
I’ve been checking it out and can’t decide…😬
I do! I’ve been using it since early 2016. As part of my job, I try out lots of other products. Some I’ll incorporate into my routine, but R+F is always my main products.
have been using Boom Blush for 7 years and totally love it. You can wear it with or without make-up. it just melts into your skin. also great for lips!
Thank you! Last winter I decided to go with cream blush. I noticed my powder and cream-to-powder blushes had begun to look chalky and dull on my face. My first purchase was a HAN multi-purpose cream stick in one of the rose shades. I applied it with a blush brush and loved the look. I learned the lesson that a little goes a long way. My next purchase was an e.l.f. cream blush in a rosy-coral shade. It’s a high-quality cream blush and the shade has been perfect for spring and summer. I also apply this blush with a blush brush. These blushes give my face a smooth, soft, no shimmer, lit-from-within finish.
Love your nails! Such a pretty color. I’ve used Maybelline forever.
LoveI have new ideas for make up!! Great post! I have been using MAC blush for years. My new obsession is Tarte blush tape. It’s super shimmery and looks great with a tan
I love blush! When in a hurry, I apply a little blush, a swipe of mascara, lipstick and out the door I go!!
This is perfect as I’ve been wanting to try a cream blush. Now, I just have to decide which one of the cream blushes I want to try! Thank you!
I’m one of those rare birds that still has oily skin at 52. I need blushes and contour and such that won’t settle into lines but also won’t make me look like I need to wipe my face! Ugh, the dewy look everyone loves is something I struggle with. I just look oilier. 🙁
Your not alone!! I have oily skin in my late 50’s and the dewy look gets to me!! Love that the Matte look is coming back in!! I wear a matte look anyway because I look my best with this look!!!
I really like the ease of a stick blush
I’m totally staying away from powder blushes. I learned from my mom several years when she would wear ‘rouge’ that cream lasts longer and looks better, easily blended. Boom is awesome, I recently bought in Spring. To be honest, I’ve worn nothing but the sun this summer and added a little eye color, liner, and mascara. By the way, love the nail color you chose!
I love the cream blushes.
You’re right, blush brightens your face. I use blush even this time of year, when I have a deep tan. It gives your face a little pop!
I love blush! And admittedly, I probably wear too much. But I look so washed out without it. I wore NARS for years. My new favorite is Milani which is about a third of the price for the same look. I’ve read great reviews about the Maybelline FitMe blush.
Perfect timing I need new blush!
I love a stick blush, very easy and quick to apply!
I love all the Boom products!
Great blush choices. Love your nails!
