T-SHIRT AND JEANS SERIES, PART THREE
So this blogging and going to classes is hard. I am trying to take in as much information as possible and still do a normal blog post. I wish I could learn the art of scheduling posts ahead of time, but that is not happening anytime soon. Instead, every time we sit down to eat or take a break I grab the laptop and starting editing photos or writing. So much for putting the “social” in social media.
I couldn’t help but laugh today while I was waiting to go inside one of the workshops. The whole point of attending is to learn new concepts and to network with other people in your niche. It is really hard to network when everyone has their smartphone out and is checking emails, posts, etc. They never look up unless someone needs to get past them. Most of the attendees are younger but there are still a few “old timers” like me here. The first class I attended talked about being yourself. I think I got an “A” in that class. Who else am I going to be? Hahaha
How about a dressier look with some color? This bright coral jacket was c/o MetroStyle last month. (Here) I love this jacket because of the style AND the color. It is cheery! You can’t be in a bad mood when you wear this jacket, just try, I dare you. Like the jacket I wore yesterday, this one also has striped cuffs that give a different look. This is a one button closure (my favorite) and is the longer length. It seems a lot of cropped versions are coming in style but I still like a long jacket for extra coverage.
This three hour time difference is kicking my butt. It is 9:30 pm here and I am dying on the vine. I will share some of my adventures with you gurls later. Let’s just say my shyness is really hard to overcome. Wish me luck tomorrow, I need to do my power poses before the sessions start.
If you missed the first installments of this series, check out these posts: here, here, and here.

Love that blazer! I don’t usually wear a blazer, but now I may have to get one! I always say I’m going to post ahead too, but it never seems to work out.

You hit it big time! Love the shoes and of course the jacket…love the whole look!
I just love this outfit. Pretty coral and shoes that are awesome! Great way to dress up a casual day. I’m a fairly new subscriber and your blog is amazing. Just do what you are doing, it works!
This color screams spring to me—I think it’s perfect—especially with those shoes!!
Networking is always the hard part for me too—being an introvert makes it especially hard, don’t you think??

Love the shoes, my feet would rebel but I love ’em. PS. Don’t feel bad about the technology…at a recent Garden Club convention I sat next to the floral designer who told me she went to a tech show for the floral industry. She sat there confused, awed and thinking “how will I ever get my site updated with all this stuff”? The talk ended and she got to leave, almost depressed on the hard work ahead, turned to her 18 year old daughter who brightly said, “well, that’s done”! The daughter had updated everything while the talk was going on…
Now you need to snag an 18 year old, they’ll explain scheduled posts to you but won’t be able to clean their room.
I love this! I say each day that I need a techie teenager!
