50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANSDid everyone survive the weekend? It is playoff time in the NFL and I bet a lot of you had football games playing in your house. I don’t watch a lot of television, in fact, unless Emersyn comes to visit, the TV is never turned on. But this past Saturday I didn’t get out of the house because is was yucky outside, so I relaxed with two dogs beside me and watched a couple games. My sister lives in the Atlanta area so I know her household was happy. LOL! 50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANSJoe has had a lingering cold ever since we got back from Tennessee. This has been ongoing now for about two weeks. He just can’t seem to shake the cold and is not a happy camper. You all know how men are when they are sick. Lol! It makes it worse that I looked like I was going to catch a cold but only felt bad for one day. He says I am not human. Hahaha50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANSI thought I would go casual today. A plain white long sleeve t-shirt and a pair of jeans is just a normal outfit that I bet everyone has in their closet. I added a Motto cable knit cropped open cardigan to take the look to another level. The cardigan is a gorgeous deep wine color. I seem to be in a wine, burgundy, purple color mode. I wore thisthis, and this all recently. The cardigan came from the overstock store in town but here are a couple similar.

50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANSI just got in this turquoise cuff so of course, I  had to wear it. The cuff was part of the Monday madness Plunder event but it came with a deer pendant. Instead, I added this pendant called the Tiffany which is only $12.00. The Loudene turquoise cross is my long necklace and even though you don’t see it in this photo, I have on my BELIEVE necklace that I bought in Marietta, GA. 50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANSThese burgundy/wine ankle booties are by Isaac Mizrahi. The booties are a year or so old but I don’t wear them often. I am not a petite person and that extends to my feet. I don’ really like calling attention to my size 9 foot, so wearing a bold or bright shoe color is not the best idea. However, when I wear these boots, I make an exception. Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANSMy skinny jeans are Vigoss that I bought at Maurices. I really dread when skinny jeans go out of style, they can be very flattering. It took me a long time before I finally bought my first pair and I felt really silly in them. But when no one made fun of me I figured it must be alright. I can’t believe I am going to quote Katy Perry, but here goes. Put it on, throw back your shoulders, and keep your head high. Strut your stuff and watch how people react.50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANSIn case you are wondering about the earrings I have on, they were part of a Plunder set that is not available. I didn’t care for the necklace so I gave that away. I liked the earrings so I kept them to wear with other items. I wanted to briefly talk about Plunder and Rodan and Fields. I have had a couple comments made that they didn’t appreciate me mentioning these companies on my blog and that they found it too distracting. First, I also can sell Stella & Dot, Chloe & Isabel, and LipSence but you don’t hear me mentioning those companies. I LOVE the Plunder items and I wear them for that reason. I signed up in order to be able to get the discount and I link to them so that you can also enjoy the items, the same as I try to do with my clothing. Secondly, I use Rodan and Fields and I LOVE the results of my skin. I never mentioned anything about R & F until you gurls started asking me what I was doing. Why would I not mention these two companies that I really love? Why would I not try to make a few dollars off of my blog? You do not have to purchase anything, EVER, and I always try to only mention R & F at the very end of my post so I do not “bother” anyone. But remember, just because you have read my “deals” over and over, doesn’t mean that someone new is not reading this for the first time. If you are interested in either or these companies or their products, look at this post where I answer questions concerning them. 50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANSHere are a few of the Valentine specials that are available. To place an order go to www.plunderdesig.com/party/havefaith and select the shop tab. Then click the drop-down tab under Menu and select SPECIALS.

    Tania,
I am new to your blog, but love it! I was on YouTube one day and ran across one of your videos. Right then, I searched for your name and found your blog! Love your style. Love the Plunder pieces too and want to learn more.
    Blessings,

    1. Welcome to my blog, Ashley! I am so happy you have found your way and are interested in Plunder. Plunder is a wonderful jewelry line that I found back in June 2016 and I was so impressed with the first couple of pieces that I bought, I signed up to be able to sell it. Lol! The jewelry is nickel-free and hypo allergenic. Everything comes with a life-time guarantee as well. If you are interested in purchasing anything, yo u go to http://www.plunderdesign.com/party/believe (my current party) and hit the shop button. If you would like to know more about the business and would like to signup to sell Plunder, just email me at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com

  3. Tania, can you send me your email or post it again? I’m interested in joining Plunder. Thanks!

  4. Hi Tania. I live in Australia so the information on Rosen & Fields and also Plunder does not really concern me as they arent available here. I just skip over those bits and zoom in on your pictures to try to see if I can copy the look!!
    Love your blog.

    1. Suzyq, you should have read those posts because Rodan and Fields is coming to AUSTRALIA!!! I have already pre-enrolled a couple ladies from Australia and you could be next. Pre-enrollment is FREE!!! Go here to join and see what Rodan and Fields might have in store for you. https://rodanandfields.com.au/preenrol

  5. I love this casual outfit. Simple and classy.
With regard to complaints about your mentions of Plunder and R & F – pay them no mind. If someone is not interested, they can enjoy the earlier content and then move on.

Don’t worry what people say. It is your blog which you can say and do as you please. I am quite sure starting a blog is not easy, nor is keeping it going and interesting. I give you credit for doing so. As much as most women spend on skin care products, knowing there is a product that has made a huge difference is important to share. I applaud it.

  7. I like your personal stories with your style descriptions…I don’t want to sell anything so I don’t read that part! I like your classic looks bc it’s more my style but enjoy seeing what you put together each day!

  8. Gorgeouuuuus as always, would love to see you in a sporty look as well what to wear while traveling… Thanks for all the Inspirational and Fantastic outfit ideas!

  9. Girl! Purple Cranberry is sooo your color! LauriePOP Ideas That POP

  10. Your outfit today speaks my language! This is exactly the style I like to wear- colorful and casual. I have to say that nothing about your blog is distracting!! I love the fact that you sell from different companies and tell us all about them! You are so real and down to earth and you keep us informed about the quality and results in an honest and practical way. Plus you give us the scoop on great discounts and giveaways. Tania, don’t change a thing! The blog ain’t broke honey, so don’t try to fix it! Have a happy week and I hope your husband gets better soon!

  11. Im a new follower and enjoy your blog a lot…love the outfit today! I’m loving a touch of turquoise with burgundy this season.Have a great week!

  12. Tania, keep doing what your doing! I like that you mention Plunder and R&F at the end of your post. That way anyone not interested can read your post and move on.

  13. Nice outfit-love the color of the sweater!

  14. Susan Stancliff says:

Absolutely love this look! The color is fabulous on you. Keep talking about plunder and R&F. I have learned so much from your blog. Keep up the good work

  15. Teresa McMillan says:

I love the red “Cupid” bracelet! I might have to order a couple of them for me and my daughter. It’s so hard to find red jewelry. Love the outfit!! Funny, I got the necklace in the Plunder Posse last month and gave mine away too. I didn’t care for it either! I guess we think alike. Ha!

  16. Charlcy Green says:

Hey, Tania, how rude of those people! I’m happy to hear about R & F & Plunder & I love them both! I think Plunder has some beautiful jewelry at awesome prices! And R & F has truly ingenious new products that no one else has! Plus I LOVE this outfit! You rock even a simple outfit & look classy & put together! Hope Joe feels better soon!

  17. Yes, I love that quote and what you said about pull your shoulders back and hold your head high! I told that to my teenage daughters all the time. Confidence almost seems like it puts a spell on people! I love that purple sweater and those adorable booties. I may have to find a pair for myself!

  18. I love this outfit on you!! You look so fresh, casual and young here! I personally dress casual like this 90% of the time so I guess I can relate to this look the most! I like skinny jeans too and wear them most of the time now but I am only 5’3″ and most are super super long for me! so i have to wear them with a huge cuff and tucked into boots, any suggestions on how to continue wearing them when it’s too warm for tall boots? I know wearing them cuffed is in style but I’m short so I feel like the look of the cuff makes my legs look cut off and shorter. Any thoughts on this topic for us gurls that aren’t quite tall enough but petite pants are normally too short for, my leg length is mostly average but it’s my torso length that is shorter than most. Thanks for your blog! don’t worry about the people that are critical, it’s not like they are having to pay to read what you post, I take away from it what I love and skip anything that might not interest me, keep doing what you are doing

    1. Susan Stancliff says:

Amy, I love my skinny jeans and I am only 5’0. I always buy petites. I know they are sometimes not the right fit for you girls a little taller. Have you tried short length? They are regular cut jeans but the length is shorter. I find them at Old Navy. They are just the right height. Heels help too.

  19. Sandra H. says:

Tania, re: confidence–my Mother would say to her girls, “If you’ve got it, flaunt it.” Haha. She’s in heaven giving out advice.

  20. It must be the same cold we have here in the UK which is lasting 2/3 weeks with a nasty cough. I had a cardigan similar to yours in green which I gave to Charity, wish I had seen your blog first.

  21. Love your blog; it’s one of the few that I read every day!!! And personally, I do not find your mentions of Plunder or R&F distracting in anyway. Haven’t bought anything yet, but I keep looking 😉

  22. Connie k. says:

I love your casual look. You are so right, if we feel good about our look for the day, we come across with confidence.
    Love your honest posts.
One day I came to the office, asked my Secretary, how was your weekend? She said, ” 3 words, HUSBAND HAS COLD” . that happened 20 years ago and it still makes me smile.

  23. robjodiefilogomo says:

I do love that sweater—it’s something I could totally see myself knitting for me!!
And I love that you added in turquoise jewelry which goes with the outfit but doesn’t “match”!!

  24. love this sweater – the cut and the color both !

  25. Love your style. It must be dangerous living near the overstock outlet, and the other outlets too.

  26. Perfect casual outfit….love how you accessorize! Love your blog, keep doing what you’re doing!!

  27. Hi Tania, I love reading your blog every morning. Consider sending Joe to the doctor. I don’t want to be Debbie Downer, but a lingering cold can sometimes mean that something a bit more serious is going on behind the scenes. I hope he feels better soon.

    1. That is not being a Debbie Downer that is just being smart and concerned. My mother and son also have the same thing and theirs is still lingering also. It must be a type of cold that is going around.

  28. Yep, I hope that skinny jeans will be with us at least till I’m old enough not to want to wear them anymore!!!!! I LOOOOve them!!!!! Your cable knit cardi is just great and burgundy is another colour that suits you wonderfully!!!! You look so relaxed, yet still very stylish and elegant – I think the smart boots does a lot to complete the look perfectly – had you been wearing a more casual shoe I think it would have changed the whole look!!! So beautiful!!!!
    Hugz

    1. Me too! I don’t how or why I look better in skinny jeans, never would have thought it! I don’t mind bootcut either but 90% of my pants are skinnies!

  29. I love reading your blog. We don’t have the products in the UK that you talk about so I just skim read those bits – no problem – love to see your outfits and what you put together.

  30. Great short sleeved cardigan Tania – how nice to be relaxing in front of TV for awhile…I only watch it Fri and Sat evenings when my hubby puts on a film…or at 10pm at nite for the news – omg!!!

    Have a great day,
    Yvonne

  31. Oh men are awfull when they feel sick! Just tell Joe that we all feel for him! Hahahaha, enjoy your day!

  32. lovely, casual look. I feel your pain regarding shoe size as I also wear a size nine but I’m not nearly as tall as you. I’ve passed on many pairs of shoes because they accentuated the size of my feet. Stay healthy.

    1. Kathy Terry says:

I I wear a size 10 shoe, and am 5′ 9″ tall. When I was only 4’7″ in the 7th grade I already had big feet, but was so short. I hit 14 and, like the boys, shot up to match my, still growing feet. One thing that I have learned is that your feet don’t look as big as you think they do, in relation to your whole self! Embrace a good foundation!!

  33. Joanne Scantlebury says:

Hey loving the casual gear. Great colours. Love the red bling plunder pity you can’t buy that here is Australia. Went looking in a few costume jewellry stores today buy found nothing like that.
Well look forward to tomorrow’s post. ???

    1. Joanne, you never know. Rodan and Fields is coming to Australia, so Plunder might follow suit. Lol!

  34. Tania,,, you look adorable in this outfit… actually,,, it’s one of my favorites on you… it makes you look so young 🙂 in regards to the comments that some are making … DON’T YOU WORRY ONE BIT ABOUT IT …You never sound pushy.. and I, personally like hearing about some business opportunities 🙂 stay exactly who you are…. we love you!!!

    1. Thanks, Sherri. Joe tells me that I am obsessive when it comes to things I like, so I really try to dial it back a notch or two fro the blog. I could ramble on and on about things I like about these companies. Haha

  35. I just adore your cardigan Tania and those Plunder valentines specials look really lovely. I keep waiting for the day they ship to the UK.

    1. I ordered mine, Caroline, and can’t wait to get them in. Plunder is growing at a pretty rapid pace, so who knows, they may hit the UK one day.

  36. Linda Bunger says:

I’m a new follower and I love your style. I also love your haircut and style!

    1. Welcome, Linda!!! I am so happy you found my little blog and I hope you continue to come visit with me.

  37. Tania, I really like your relaxed outfits as well as your dressier ones. The wine tones go well with the touch of turquoise. You do a great thing, blogging everyday. You are honest and I enjoy your humour. Cheers, Travey.

    1. Thanks, Tracey. There are just days when a t-shirt is the only thing want to wear. Lol!
