HIT OR MISS WITH SUMMER LOUNGEWEAR THAT IS COOL AND COMFORTABLE
Wow, Wednesday sure came fast this week! It has been a hectic couple of days around our house because my daughter has been out of town, and Joe and I have been “cat” sitting. Tom, her cat, is spoiled rotten, and he is not happy when his person leaves him. He likes me and tolerates Joe and Lucy, but he adores my daughter.
I try to appease him by spending time with him in the morning and evening. He loves the attention, and if I don’t go upstairs when he thinks it is time, he will come looking for me. He voices his opinion extremely loud and doesn’t hush until I start up the stairs. Then he will race me to the top and go where I always sit to pet him. Yesterday, I must have left a little too soon for him because he chased me down, grabbed me around the ankles, and tried to bite me. I know his tricks, so I was prepared and wearing jeans, so all he got for his efforts was a swat on the head. Ashleigh came home last night, and I’ve not seen hide nor hair from Tom. Lol!
Today’s Hit or Miss post is a gorgeous Loungewear Sweater Set. This set is so comfortable, and I like the versatility of this set. I’ve worn the set together, and I’ve also worn it separately. I love how the top is oversized, and it can hang off one shoulder if you want. I usually wear a White Tank under it, and let the sweater slip off my shoulder. The top and tank are what I wore on a recent YouTube Makeup Tutorial, and I had several ladies message me for the link. I’m wearing a medium in the set, and I love how it fits.
Here is the view where you can see the length of the sweater. The sweater looks great with jeans, white pants, and khaki shorts which is how I’ve worn it so far. I’m wearing Blue, and I just placed an order for Coffee as well.
The shorts aren’t as oversized as the top, but the medium fits me great. They have an elastic waist and a drawstring closure, and I love how soft and comfortable they are. I’m not sure the inseam on the shorts, but I’m guessing 3 or 4 inches. The only downside to these shorts is that they don’t have pockets.
I paired the short set with a pair of White Leather Lace Up Sneakers. All-white sneakers in the summer are what I love wearing. I like this leather pair since they are easy to keep clean. They run TTS, and I’m wearing my usual size 9. I also added a pair of Statement Hoop Earrings, the Adeline Link Necklace, and my 18Kt. Gold Vermeil Cross Necklace.

Pretty color, but, shorts are too short for me. Would love to see longer shorts suitable for my age and figure(61).
You look great but this would be a Miss for me. I have narrow shoulders so the oversized neckline might be off both shoulders. I’m too tall (and probably too old) for a less than 4 inch inseam. I’ll save those for the petite and/or younger ladies.

I want to know how you stay in such fabulous shape?? Our 50’s seem to be a time of a lot of changes including our waistline so clothes i could pull off a couple years ago don’t work for me now. Trying to learn how to dress this aging body. Christine

I like the set on you, but for me, the shorts would need to be a little longer. Beautiful color, though. Laughed out loud about the cat story! I had a cat who would attack me as a kid if I had 2 different colored socks on!
It’s a miss for me. It looks attractive on you, but I have no use for an outfit like this. When it’s hot enough for shorts outside, I definitely wouldn’t be wearing a sweater. Inside with air conditioning, I might wear a sweater, but not shorts, so…it just doesn’t work!

I just turned fifty this year and love fashion. However, I prefer a longer inseam on shorts.
The outfit looks nice on you. It is not something I would wear. As for the weight loss program, it is too bad it is just a facebook group. I’m not on FB any longer and won’t rejoin. It would be interesting to see your exercise routine. I can’t recall you doing anything on that. Probably cutting out sugar/alcohol is the biggest key. Have a great day!
