SUMMER DRESSES THAT ARE BEAUTIFUL AND AFFORDABLE
Warmer days are finally here! It was a long winter, but now that spring has arrived, and summer is right around the corner, it is time to start shopping for my summer wardrobe. I am thrilled to be partnering with Walmart again and bringing you three gorgeous dresses than are beautiful, stylish, colorful, and perfect for summer.
The three dresses that I have brought to you today are all by the same brand. And I wanted to give you several different looks, so each dress is very different, but they are all great for summer. This turquoise wrap dress is cute and flirty. A wrap dress is very flattering on almost everyone! It helps to accentuate your waist, while the flow away shirt helps to give you curves. The deep v-neckline is also flattering by giving you a longer looking neck.
The tiered sleeves, and the ruffle at the hem, are both feminine details that you will love. This dress strikes me right above the knee, and I am 5’6″ tall for reference. This coral dress is also perfect for the warmer months of summer. It is a vibrant shade of coral, and it has pops of blue, green, yellow, pink, purple, and white all through the design. This is a longer midi-dress, which hits me mid-shin. I love that it has the peek-a-boo slit on one side to give a glimpse of your leg as you walk.
This dress has six buttons down the front of the dress for a beautiful detail and flutter cap sleeves, which are one of my favorite styles of sleeves. I think the flutter sleeve is feminine and flattering on most people.
From this angle, you can see the smocking along the back, which helps to keep the dress nice and tight against your body. Also, you get to see the unique detail of a keyhole cutout back that fastens at the top with a loop button closure. I am wearing a regular bra, so there is no need to worry about it showing. I love my gold metallic wedge espadrille shoes. These shoes are so cute, and they go with everything! They have become my go-to shoe this spring, and I have worn them with jeans and shorts also. These shoes also come in black. At a price tag of 26.00, it is possible to get these shoes in both colors. I am wearing my usual size 9, and these fit me great. For the last dress of the day, I am wearing an off the shoulder striped dress with an elastic waist. The off the shoulder style is fun and great for summer, especially when we start getting a sun-kissed tan look. This dress is a blend of linen and rayon, so it is cool and machine washable. I love the breezy look to this dress, and I can see wearing it with sandals or sneakers also. I think that it would also look great with an added belt.
The size that I am wearing in this dress is a medium (8-10), and it is plenty big for me. BTW, I forgot to mention that this dress has pockets! I love a dress with pockets. Lol! Is there anything that says summer more than a colorful swingy dress. I like all of them but I’m just not into wearing dresses. I wore them for years though. I still have a couple in case I get the urge but I won’t buy new ones.
I just received two great blouses I got from Walmart. Fabric thinner than expected but Great price because I snagged the last one they had on both and they were in my size. Gingham too. Which is what I was looking for. I’ve never had a problem with Walmart. I don’t return much so maybe that’s why.

Enjoying your blog, even at 76 years old. You can still get away with sleeveless styles where I’m to a point where sleeves are a necessity…. At my age I don’t feel comfortable wearing “above the knee” dresses either. You’re looking great!
I love all three dresses! I just wish that Walmart Canada carried these lines, unfortunately they don’t ? Ordering involves, duties and taxes and added exchange rate fees on my credit card so the inexpensive dress becomes quite pricey. I always have to wait until I’m traveling to stop in and check out what is available.

While I love the price point of WalMart clothing I do not love their customer service, I ordered a dress that took 2 weeks to arrive, the fit was too big and I wasn’t able to return it at the store. During the Covid-19 they aren’t allowing clothing returns. So I went online to return it but the order did not show up under my account. I ended up calling and then they issued a return authorization number. I am choosing to shop at other retailers. The dresses were cute on you!
Kathy, don’t let one experiences taint you. I’ve had that same thing happen with Loft, but I still shop there. It is usually a software issue, not a retailer issue. I sent things back online last night, and my return is already processing this morning. I like that I am not waiting for weeks for my refund.

Hi Tonya, I live just north of Nashville, TN. in Hendersonville. I will be a young 59 in July! I have a question about shoes. I have to use a cane to walk it is a long health saga but I have had both hips replaced. Unfortunately the left had to be redone when it dislocated just 4 weeks after the surgery. My doc had to widen the socket, screw it down, so the ball would not pop out ever again. He tried hard to keep me even but the left leg a tad-bit longer by 1/4-1/2 inch. Thus the cane. I would love to wear some summer heels, but am nervous about wearing anything that is not a flat. Any suggestions. I am also a huge fan of your blog. It has helped me dress nicely since my divorce in 2014. Thank-you for anything you can recommend.
I am glad to hear that you are doing better now. My daughter has one leg that is a tiny bit longer than the other, and she has a small insert that she wears in one shoe. I’ll do a flat roundup in a couple of days.
