With cooler temperatures just around the corner (hopefully!), I wanted to share some stylish women’s jackets and coats that will help you transition from late summer into fall. Burgundy is one of my favorite fall colors. I stopped in Talbots on my way to Tennessee to see what new arrivals had hit the stores. I was immediately drawn to this gorgeous embossed faux leather jacket. The quilted pattern and the gold buttons look so luxurious. I paired the jacket with a matching sweater vest and trouser jeans for an elevated casual outfit.

This faux leather jacket is such an easy way to add a little edge to your fall wardrobe! I’m really loving the sleek, collarless design. You can throw it over pretty much anything, like a tee, a dress, or even a tank top, and it instantly makes your outfit look more put-together. It’s the kind of jacket you’ll reach for again and again because it just works with everything.

The AirKnit Stretch Dolman Sleeve Jacket is such a good purchase for fall! It’s made from a soft, stretchy fabric that feels super comfy, and the Dolman sleeves give it a cool, laid-back look. It’s great for tossing on with both athleisure and casual looks. Perfect for those days when you need something cozy but not too bulky! It also comes in a gorgeous purple color.

This cropped jacket channels all the chic vibes of a classic trench but with a shorter, more playful cut! It’s perfect for those days when you’re easing into fall and want a stylish layer that’s not too hot. I love neutrals for fall, and this tan will go with virtually anything!

I absolutely love the diamond pattern and the classy gold buttons on this jacket! It’s a versatile piece you could wear with trousers for the office or jeans for dinner. It also comes in a pretty light blue shade!

The key to putting together a fall outfit is layers, and this breathable material will allow you to get that fall look without sweating or overheating! Plus, it’s in one of my favorite fall colors…. olive green. This is one of my go-to shades for the second half of the year because not only does it scream autumn to me, but it also goes with everything!

How chic is this animal print outfit?!? I love this Zebra Print Tie-Front Blouse. It has a tie-front, but I tucked it into the Ponte flare pants with beautiful button details. I would add this Faux Leather Peplum Blazer for extra warmth once the weather starts to cool off.

Here’s another faux leather option! I already wrote about how moto and biker boots are trending over in this post, so I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of fun, edgy pieces being released in our favorite brands’ fall collections. I thought this one was black at first glance, but I think this “Lakeside Pine” is actually a really deep green color! This one has a zip closure without any buttons, which I think looks super chic!

Now, let’s add some texture to our fall closets. I’m seriously obsessed with Blazers, and this tweed one from Chico’s is soooo good! The rich, textured fabric gives it a classic fall vibe, and the tweed pattern adds just the right amount of sophistication. It’s perfect for dressing up any outfit while keeping things cozy and stylish.

If you don’t have the budget to buy a bunch of different styles of jackets for fall, then I suggest going with a neutral jacket like this. Not only can it go with any colors in your closet, but it can also be dressed up or down effortlessly. It would be so cute with a dress and knee high boots or with a pair of jeans and mules!

Black is a great option for something like a jacket because most of us don’t wash our jackets after every single wear, and you don’t have to worry about it getting stained or showing dirt. Plus, the black still goes with just as many things in your closet. This one is from KUT from the Kloth which is one of my favorite jean brands to shop!

This open–front knit jacket just screams fall to me! Not only does it look cozy, but it looks like it would instantly complete a look to make you look very put together. You can also grab it in gray and a fun red color! Which color is your favorite?

I’ve been talking about ways you can dress for fall without overheating if you live in a milder climate, and one of my tips is to add fall colors. Olive green, burnt orange, burgundy, brown, and rust are some of my favorites. Add this jacket to a white tee with a pair of black chino shorts and a block heel, and you will look like you are beckoning fall weather without sweating to death!

Last but not least, I wanted to share this cute corduroy option! It’s made from soft, stretchy corduroy that’s super comfy and adds a cozy touch to any outfit. The pleated details give it a little extra flair, making it stand out from your usual jackets. It’s great for layering and adds just the right amount of warmth and style as the weather cools down.

Do you remember the lady jacket trend from last year? If not, the lady jacket is an inspired trend of a Chanel-ish look. It gives off a classic, upscale vibe, and I love the elevated casual look. I grabbed this striped knit sweater last year, and I loved the polished look it gave to everything I paired it with!

Some climates have a wet and rainy fall season, and there’s nothing more valuable on those nasty days than a good rain jacket! A quality rain jacket not only keeps your clothes dry but, more importantly, it protects your hair. I love this classic navy blue color, and please tell me you see that striped lining! How cute is that? It also has an adjustable waist, and the hood is detachable, so if you want to wear it as a windbreaker, that works, too.

We learned all about the “coatigan” phrase last year. If you are wondering what a coatigan is…it is a coat and a cardigan combined. I love the bright pop of color and the cozy style of this open front coatigan, and I think it looks great with these wide-leg jeans, which aren’t overly wide and oversized. If you aren’t a fan of yellow, check out the apricot, wine, or caramel shades!
