50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSHello everyone from sunny Florida. Haha That would have been what I would have said this wonderful Labor Day. But instead, I am back here is sunny Virginia, and it is gorgeous today! I am taking the day off today, even thought the store is open, we won’t be very busy. I think taking ONE day off is at least called for. Lol! How are you spending your Labor Day? I know you are reading my blog, but other that that, what are your plans?50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSLabor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It always struck me as funny, that to celebrate our workers, we take off work. Hahaha Does that strike anyone else as odd, or am I just weird? I know this marks the “official” end to summer, and a lot of people will celebrate today with a cookout or a trip to the lake. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Potato Salad, and Watermelon will probably be on the menu.
50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSI know I am on the colorful side today, but this is an outfit I had planned on wearing in Florida. I decided to go ahead and wear it today, and let you see how you can wear lots of color, without looking like a clown. Lol! I toned down the look a little by wearing this white Karen Kane tank top. I put on an orchid tank top with the pants, just to see how it would look, but decided that I liked the white better. This top has a gauze overlay, that is split up the back. I do not know why I didn’t take a picture of that, I guess I just forgot.

50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSI have on a Plunder Posse necklace with this look. This is the first piece I ever received from the Posse. The Plunder Posse is a monthly subscription of 25.00, which includes shipping, tax, etc., and they ship you an item each month. You have no idea what you will be receiving, and it never goes in the catalog to be sold. 50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSThe pendant on the necklace says, “My favorite weather is bird chirping weather.” You can’t purchase this necklace, this was June’s Posse, I am sorry. If it was something you liked, you can look on ebay or message me, there are Plunder site’s where ladies sell discontinued items or display items and I might could find you one. As you can see I have on a slew of bangles. My mother laughed at me last weekend, and my hundred bracelets. Sorry mom, I like this look. Hahaha50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSHere is what this month’s Posse is going to be. I decided to show you the flyer, because last month I waited too long. By the time I received my Posse, wore it, took a picture, and put it on the blog, it had sold out. I am afraid that is what is going to happen this month also. Where else can you get a necklace, bracelet, and a pair of earrings for $25.00. If you decide to sign up for Posse, you can cancel at any time. So you can buy this set, and then turn around and cancel the subscription.
50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSHow about these palazzo pants? Are you brave enough to wear these? I bought these several weeks ago on the clearance rack, and I wore them at the woman’s club conference I attended in Blacksburg, Va. I didn’t get a picture then, so I knew I could wear it today and still take a picture for you. If it is a day when I am not taking a picture, I will wear something I have already shown on the blog. I can’t afford to lose a photo opportunity. Lol!

Palazzo Pants: Similar | Similar | Similar | Plus50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSThe bad thing about wearing a tank top, without a cardigan, is that you have to make sure your bra strap doesn’t show. Here I was trying to adjust my strap, and I dropped my purse. Of course that is the time the camera decided to take the picture. I’ve learned you might as well laugh at yourself, cause others certainly do.50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSYou can’t even see my Aerosole wedge shoes. These pants are long, so just the toes are sticking out. I was told by a boutique owner, that all these type pants are long. You are supposed to stand on a stool, and let a friend cut them off to the length you need, and that they wouldn’t unravel. I can just imagine my hemline looking like a roller coaster, I don’t think so!!!50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSAs I was heading out the door, I decided to change necklaces. Do you ever do that? Anyway, I took a selfie so you could see the difference. I think I like this look better, it is more dressy and classy. Can you still look classy wearing a crazy print pair of pants? This is the Bonita necklace, and I have on the matching Lupe earrings. The Plunder bracelets I have on are Feather and Pearl,  Edith, Bobby, Liza, Monica, Odette, and the Skye50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING PALAZZO PANTSTomorrow is the day. Hi, I’m new to your blog. Just discovered it yesterday and LOVE IT!!!
First, love this whole outfit but who is the pink bag from? I saw it in another post of yours and love it.
Request, unless you already do this and I missed it, which is entirely possible! hahaha
In your makeup tutorial, could you please add a list of your products?
I tried to jot some down, but didn’t get them all.
And how funny that you use R&F. A friend of my daughter’s recently decided to start selling it and tried to get me on board. I’m currently working on getting my RE License reinstated so told her I didn’t have time. But wow, when I looked it up after seeing your video I was sad to see how expensive it is. Oh well, honestly it seems like most fashion blogs I find are showing things I just can’t afford. But that’s OK, at least I get ideas and try to mirror them with what I can afford. 🙂
Anyway, loving the blog!! Have a great week!
    Patti

  3. Love your blog and the pants! And I live in Christiansburg (just beside Blacksburg)!! Small world!

  4. I love pallazzo pants & this outfit is adorable as always on you! I love the first necklace because it matches the pants! But the 2nd necklace is beautiful & you are right, looks very classy! I really like the top you are wearing too! I enjoyed reading your first blog again & seeing your family is costumes! Sorry you missed out on the Jam in Florida!

  5. I love your site!!! I am a very young 66 and since reading you – I create an outfit, including a bag and pose in my mirror – before leaving the house. It really has prompted me to be my best not just for occassions but every day!
You always look so put together – and you tutorials on hair, makeup and self tanner are great!

This is the cutest outfit ! Love all the color , but not too much color . I also liked the long necklace , as it played well with the untucked shirt . Super cute 🙂
I appreciate how you love yourself – life is too short to be too serious ! You seem to enjoy yourself . Good for you ! I love it !
And happy 1 year anniversary tomorrow !

  11. Love this outfit Tania! Congratulations on your first year, have enjoyed your blog so much! Especially love how your blog is layed out…it’s so much easier to read than most.

  12. Love the palazzo pants with the tunic and necklace. So pretty!! Congratulations on your one year blog anniversary tomorrow. You’ve had a great blogging year!

  13. Bonjour Tania,
J’adore your style. If you know someone who is willing to sell the Plunder’s necklace, I would be interessed in buying.
    Johanne

    1. Tania,
Please disregard my previous message. I’m so happy I found the necklace on EBay. ?

Congratulations on your one year anniversary! I’m so glad I’m stumbled on to your blog. I love reading your posts and looking at your outfit creations.

  15. I too, truly enjoy reading your blogs everyday Tania! I really look forward to reading them!
You are so down to earth, with such classiness and definitely a beautiful style!! Congratulations on your one year anniversary!

    1. Awww, thanks so much Angie!!!?

  16. I’ve been subscribed for a few months and have truly enjoyed all you have done. You’ve inspired me to try new combinations from my closet and to wear more of my jewelry instead of the same old thing. Happy anniversary!

    1. I know how easy it is to grab the tried and true clothing and jewelry. It takes just a few more minutes to look for something different. I am so glad you found my little blog:)

  17. Love your hair. How do you get it to stay in place? It looks great!

  18. I love the pants and the way you’ve styled them! I still want to wear palazzo pants in the fall. Thoughts on that? A darker toned down pattern?

    1. Yes, there are lots of fall palazzo patterns. Maybe you could even wear a solid colored pair. I am on the look out for a high waisted pair, maybe with a tie.

  19. Love this look! I think I liked the long colorful necklace better. Every time I see someone in palazzo pants I think of my college BFF. She was tall and beautiful and could certainly pull them off, like you do. And she loved color too. Have a great day off!!

    1. You need to invite your college BFF to my blog. Lol!

  20. It is a sunny Labor Day where I live in N.C. I’m so thankful where we are at that we did not get bad weather from the hurricane. You can wear anything and it all looks so good on you. I can’t seem to wear those pants with my short squatty legs….they seem to swallow me whole. I like the tank which is very versatile. Enjoy your Labor Day!!! ~Lisa~

    1. Thanks Lisa! Be sure to check out tomorrow’s post, it might be interesting for you. Hahaha

      1. Most definitely!!! Looking forward to it 🙂

  21. Some days I feel for all the guys who don’t get to wear what amounts to “classy PJs” while still looking awesome. I love my fun and colorful palazzos, along with my maxis and leggings; all exclusively “ours” as women and oh so fun. Great look for you!

    1. Don’t be too sure Alexis. I see that guys are wearing jeggings! ??

  22. Thanks for my first chuckle of the day over your bra strap! I constantly go through that, especially with some of the new tank tops with huge armholes. Wearing two tanks together to cover the gap doesn’t seem to work well for me so I’m always repositioning my straps, too. You had great fun with it and that’s the key!

Love the outfit. While I’m sure you were disappointed about the concert, you are finding joy in the day. May it be a good one!

    1. I can’t wear the two tops together either. I think I just don’t like the added bulk, I don’t need any help in that department. Haha

  23. Tracey Royston says:

I love the pants and the colorful necklace. I love your style, Happy Labor Day!

  24. Haha!! Because of you I actually bought a pair of palazzo pants and guess what? I love them!! Although I did buy a black and white pair! Baby steps ya know… Lol! Thank you for getting me to try something I would have never done before. I hope you have a fun and relaxing Labor Day!

    1. That makes my day, Jeanie!!! These were actually out of “my” comfort zone, they are a little wild, but I really liked them. Palazzo pants, even black and white ones, are extremely comfortable. Lol!

  25. Linda Thompson says:

Love the outfit! Necklace number 2 is my fav.. Happy Labor Day!!

  26. Kathy Terry says:

I love palazzo pants! My challenge is it’s hard to find them nice and long, like yours, with a 34/35″ inseam…so I wear them around my ankles. Sigh…. I love your spirit , and your blog. Congratulations for your first year, and here’s to many more!!

  27. I like both necklaces and this is a fun look either way!

  28. Karen Marshall says:

Love the outfit; definitely something I would wear (even at 63!!) and the colors are gorgeous on you. Have a beautiful Labor Day!

    1. You’re my kind of woman, Karen!!!

  29. Cute & comfortable look ~ perfect for a day ‘off’

  30. Robin Anders says:

I thanks for sharing your fashion and your life with us Taina. I like the white necklace. I am having trouble adding so much color to my wardrobe but I am inspired by you! Today we may have hamburgers & hotdogs, but I am going to spend my day holding my new grandbaby. Second grandchild, first baby girl! She is beautiful!

    1. Robin, just take baby steps. Add a little color at a time. And have fun with the new grandbaby, I bet you will be smiling from ear to ear.?

  31. I, too, have a pair of brightly colored palazzo pants (they feel like I’m wearing pjs) and I featured them on my blog a few months ago. I love the colors in yours and the first necklace looked perfect with them (the second necklace was good too). Enjoy your day off.

    1. You are right Rena, they do feel like pj’s. Lol!

  32. Happy Labor day sweetie.
Love the colour of your trousers – so funny as I have just posted about my new running shoes – the lightest in the world and they are exactly the colour of your trousers – hehe – see if you like them:
