QUEEN OF COLOR
I feel like the Seinfeld of Blogs. You remember watching Seinfeld, don’t you? There was a whole lot of nothing going on, it was just about the normal days of the characters. That is how I feel sometimes. I don’t have an exciting life where I am jet setting off to the Caribbean or flying to Paris for fashion week. Instead, I am going to work every day, trying to figure out a new computer system, and going to buy flowers at the greenhouse. Cue the music and come back after the commercial break. Lol!,
I do have a trip coming up in the near future, we are going to visit my baby girl in Alaska. I can’t wait to see her since I haven’t got to see her since last summer when she came in for a week. It is a really long trip and the time difference between us is 4 hours. That takes some getting used to once you get there. It will be cool there even though it will be July, so I will have to think about what to pack for us. I may pack my Hunter rain boots since Juneau is a rain forest and it rains often. The last time we visited her I about froze to death and it was in May. Lol! I have learned from my experience and I will be packing some sweatshirts and jackets. She will probably be running around in tank tops and shorts. Haha!
What do I talk about first? I love this orchid cardigan that I bought from J. Crew. The cardigan is at least a year old but it matches this top perfectly. I love this color and I have several items that will look good with it. Someone called me the Queen of Color the other day in a comment and I loved that!!! I do enjoy color, it makes me happy and it makes me feel good. That is my goal on this blog. To make you feel good about yourself. I hope I accomplish that either in my writing or in my fashion. Everyone deserves to feel good and have confidence in themselves.
This top is by Violet + Claire. I can’t remember for sure, but I think I got this at TJ Maxx a couple years ago. If you only wear something 3 or 4 times a year then it should last you a very long time. The last time I wore this top was last July. WOW! It is a completely different look from the last time. When you buy items in the colors that you like you will find that your wardrobe will be able to mix and match easily.
Yesterday was my R+F payday. We are not allowed to say what we make because everyone doesn’t make the same amount. It is dependant on how much work you put into the business. Wow, that sounds a lot like life. Lol! This business is not for everyone but for those who really need or want to earn an extra income it is completely do-able. Send me an email to fiftyisnotold@gmail.com and I will be very honest with you about the business, the perks, the work that goes into it, and the payoff. Plan B is swiftly becoming my Plan B+. Lol!!!
Do you know what my number one referrer page is? It is Pinterest! I truly appreciate every time you “pin” a picture. Heck, pin ALL the pictures if you want. Lol! Also, if you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol! The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.
Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

The colors are perfect for this time of year.
What a great outfit full of color! You’ve inspired me to mix it up today and brighten my day.
Audrey, you always seem to have a great outlook on life. ?
LOVE that outfi!!! Color is therapy for our soul I think, after all who wants to go thru life in shades of black and white? when is raining out I try to wear really bright colors and find it lifts my mood and hopefully those around me so keep on being your colorful self! Alaska sounds wonderful!
I agree, Cristina! I want color in my life but there are so many that only wear black because it makes the choice easy for them.
I love all the colors. This outfit is one of my favorites.
Thanks, Julie! I love this color, it just jumps out at you!
I can’t imagine being that far away from one of my children and and not being able to see them more than once a year. Yes….Tania, you are the “Queen of Color” and you wear colors well. Your skin looks so vibrant in today’s pic versus last years pic. ~Lisa~
It is hard being so far away, Lisa. Facetime and ZOOM really help out some since I can at least see her even if it is not in person. My skin looks vibrant because of the Reverse regimen. It is crazy the difference.
Yet another beautiful outfit, the colours are gorgeous!!
Thanks, Kim!
You look lovely, feminin, fresh, happy and well.
Tracey, you are always such a breath of fresh air. ❤️
How lovely to be visiting your youngest daughter…was thinking of the time difference – my tip is to start adjusting your bedtime and wake time by an hour a couple of days beforehand – that will make it easier once you get there (believe me with 12 hours difference to NZ I think I have mastered the art of coping with jetlag / time differences – haha)

That is usually what we do, Yvonne. It is easier coming home than it is going.
I can SO imagine you saying all those things through my laptop screen, Tania. You’re such a genuine person 🙂
Awww, that is sweet of you, Sheela! I am just me so I might as well not pretend to be anyone else.
I love this outfits…and your blog is just the best. Keep these outfits coming…..
Thanks, Kris! ?
I love to see what you are wearing! My husband and I have a 44th high school reunion coming on Oct. 20. It is casual and at our high school. What look do you suggest? You know I want to look my best, of course, and I am glad it is supposed to be casual. Thanks so much! Cindy Vines
