50 IS NOT OLD | PINK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS | FASHION OVER 40 I had a fun but exhausting day on Friday. My daughter is celebrating a work anniversary, and she wanted to commemorate the event with a photoshoot. If you know anything about my daughter, then you know that she has grand ideas. I usually get dragged into her schemes, especially the part where I get to pay for everything. She went to the store and bought the supplies. Then we spent the morning getting dressed and setting up for the photos.
50 IS NOT OLD | PINK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS | FASHION OVER 40 We hauled load after load of things outside. Then, after we got everything all set up, the sun came out, and we had to move it all in the shade. She finally got everything all set up again, and then “I” had to play photographer. Let me start by telling you that I am not a good photographer, and then let me tell you that “she” is extremely picky. We took hundreds of photos, and she didn’t like any of them. I was ready to throw in the towel when she decided to make a champagne toast. But, before the toast, she wanted to shake the bottle up so that I could video the fountain of champagne that would spew from the bottle. Before the shoot was finished, I was covered in champagne, she was covered in cake, and we both looked like we had been rode hard and put up wet. I hope that she got at least ONE photo from the whole shoot because I am definitely not doing that again. Lol!
50 IS NOT OLD | PINK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS | FASHION OVER 40 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I thought an outfit in the pink shades was appropriate. When I first started blogging back in 2015, I used to have pink strands put in my hair to bring awareness. Here is a post from October 2015, and you will notice lots of pink in my hair and hardly any eyelashes. Lol! I no longer put pink in my hair, but I do still try and bring awareness of Breast Cancer by wearing pink. I am incredibly blessed that no one in our family has had breast cancer, but I recently lost a good friend to this disease a couple of months ago. While there have been advancements in the treatment of this disease, there still is a lot that still needs to be done.

I stopped on my way home from Tennessee to shop for a couple of things. This marbled V-Neck Cardigan hits at your thigh. It is long-sleeved and five buttons. This is very thick material and is made of 55% Cotton 27% Acrylic 13% Polyester 5% Nylon. This sweater is on sale, and if you use the code HAPPYFALL, then you will receive an extra 10% off. Here is the link to the cardigan.
50 IS NOT OLD | PINK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS | FASHION OVER 40 I need to quit procrastinating and go ahead and place an order for some of the new Fall jewelry that launched a couple of weeks ago. When they launch new jewelry, they also retire some pieces, and it looks like the earrings that I am wearing are no longer available. I haven’t had these very long, and I love the design and colors of the earrings, but I can’t locate them on the website. But, you can find the Rosalynn necklace. I am sure that you will be seeing me wear this cute leopard print necklace a lot this fall. The large matte link bracelets are the Lelani (gold) and the Madijeanne (silver).
50 IS NOT OLD | PINK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS | FASHION OVER 40 I am going to give you fair warning before you continue reading this part of the blog. You are going to want to purchase these pants. If you are on a buying hiatus, then hide your credit card now! These are the most comfortable pair of pants that I have ever put on my body. They fit snug, but the waist doesn’t pinch or bunch. I never try on clothes before I purchase them, so when I put them on to see if they would fit, I couldn’t believe how nice they felt. I bought my normal size 10, and I am also going to order the gray and raspberry color online while they are on sale. These are less than 30.00, plus you can get an additional 10% off with the code I mentioned above. Here is the link to the pants. The loafers are a pair that I bought earlier in the month from Walmart. I am finding myself reaching for this pair over and over again. Click on the photo of the loafer below to be directed to the website.

50 IS NOT OLD | PINK FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS | FASHION OVER 40 Because I don’t want the rest of you having non-existent lashes as I did back in 2015, I am going to offer you 10.00 off the purchase of Lash Boost. This is the #1 top-selling item for Rodan + Fields, and it was just picked as the top Lash Serum by Oprah Magazine. Here is the link to Lash Boost, and make sure to order as my Preferred Customer to get and extra 10% off of retail plus free shipping.
