MONOCHROMATIC STYLE IS AN EFFORTLESS LOOK - 50 IS NOT OLD

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is styling a monochromatic look in gray Last night I held a training for people who were interested in learning more about Instagram. There were about nine ladies who showed up, and hopefully, everyone left with a better understanding. Most of these ladies are like me, and they all work online. So, understanding how social media works is essential to their business. I am not an expert when it comes to social media, and I didn’t know if what I was teaching would be something that they needed.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a monochromatic look in gray When it comes to learning social media, I think that as we get older, we are afraid to try anything new. This is not just for the younger generation; it is excellent for all of us for several reasons. I love connecting to people from all over the country and getting a peek inside their world. Plus, you can use Instagram as a search engine, that is what the hashtags are for. So, if I wanted to look at people who were remodeling their homes, I would type in #remodel or #remodeling. If I wanted to look at bloggers wearing ankle boots, then I would use #ankleboots, #anklebooties,  #anklebootsover40, or #bootsforwomenover40. If you are not already on Instagram, you will love it, so give it a try and be sure to follow me at @50isnotold
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a gray Fairisle sweater This is not the first time that I have worn this lovely gray Fairisle sweater for the Loft Outlet. The first time I wore this sweater (here), I wore it with colored pants. So, I thought that today I would show you a monochromatic style. It looks like I am back to wearing gray again after my bright and colorful post yesterday. This sweater is 55% Cotton, 35% Rayon, and 10% Polyester, so this is not like the fuzzy sweaters that I showed you yesterday. I love the calming look of this sweater, the design, and even the mock turtleneck. I am wearing a medium, and it fits me PERFECTLY! This sweater is on a “final sale,” so it can’t be returned or exchanged.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing large silver hoops from Kendra Scott I loved the design of the sweater so much that I didn’t want to wear a necklace. The design deserved to be the star of the show, so I only added a pair of earrings and a bracelet to my look. The Logan Bangle from the styled collection is a silver twist cuff bracelet with a large pearl stone on each end. It is very similar to a David Yurman bracelet, but without the price tag.

The Avi earrings are a large silver hoop with a twist from Kendra Scott. I love these earrings, and I wear them a lot, but you probably already know that. Lol! I am wearing them so much that I decided that I needed another pair of silver earrings. These are a little bit smaller, and they are a geometric style.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing gray Sailor leggings from The Loft I love the monochromatic look of the pants and the sweater. A monochromatic look is timeless and classic, and it takes the guesswork out of “does this go together?” The gray(ish) Sailor pants are from The Loft, and they fit like a legging. I am wearing my usual size 10, so I find that they run true to size. I like the Sailor button details, but you can wear a sweater and cover them up if you want. These are on sale for 60% off, so they are a great deal, especially since you can wear these pants year-round.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a monochromatic gray outfit Yesterday morning I woke up to a pleasant surprise! Rodan + Fields announced yesterday that they have come out with a new product. Bye-bye impurities, toxins, and gross environmental pollutants! Rodan + Fields dropped their new Recharge DETOX Charcoal Mask, and I can’t wait to try this product. I thought to myself, “cool! A Charcoal mask!“! It’s gentle, but this intensive charcoal mask draws out environmental impurities and pollutants while rehydrating and conditioning the skin with antioxidant-rich natural oils in just 10 minutes. Think healthy, vibrant-looking skin – 96% of users saw an improvement in overall skin appearance! I haven’t got to use this mask myself, but I did place my order this morning, so I should get it soon. I read what PopSugar (here) had to say about it, though, and it sounds great. “We are constantly scouting for new technologies and ingredients that show higher efficacy, and complement and amplify our existing product and ingredient benefits,” Sumita Butani, Rodan and Fields’s VP of product development, told POPSUGAR. “Volcanic sand is a beneficial and efficacious exfoliator that has great synergy with charcoal to truly deliver on the immediate and long-term benefits of our Recharge Mask.”

If you are like me, and you like the ease of using a mask, then check out the newest product by clicking here. If you have are interested, then email me and I can answer any questions that you might have. [email protected]

  9. I purchased this sweater when you posted it with teal pants. I have teal velvet Old Navy jeans from last year. It is a beautiful outfit and I’ve received many compliments, so thank you Tania. I’ve been wearing those velvet jeans while it is so wintery here in Chicago. I’d planned on switching to gray jeans once we move into late Feb/March. Looks great on you. It would be cute with white jeans too. I’ve been wearing gray suede booties. I’d probably go black or tan booties with gray jeans. Thanks for keeping us gurls Stylin’ 😉

I would love to hear from YOU!
