LET ME TRY ON THE CLOTHES FOR YOU

Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old with 3 different coats I have got a lot to learn when it comes to the photo editing software called Lightroom. This software will do wonders if the person who is running it knows what they are doing, which I don’t. But, I have already learned a few basics, but basics aren’t going to cut it. I will probably be learning tips and tricks for weeks, maybe even months. Don’t expect much from today’s shots, they were taken in low light, and they are going to be grainy. I am pretty sure that you will be able to see what the items look like, and if you need a better picture, then you can visit the website.

Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a rattan and white stripped tank topThis is part one of a two-part try-on session from Talbots. The outfit that I wore yesterday (here) was all part of this large order that I placed last week. I loved that paisley dress and bright red blazer. You will notice a “tan” theme running through this order.  I seem to get hooked on a color theme each season, and this past winter, it was gray. This spring looks like it is going to be tan, or maybe blush. I love both of those colors, and they seem to be everywhere in the stores.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a tan and white stripped tank topThis rattan/white scoop neck tank top is a great layering item. I love the fit of the top and how it has enough stretch in the material to hug you in the right places. The straps aren’t thick, but they are substantial enough so that your bra straps won’t show. I am wearing a medium, and I like the way that the top fits. I can see myself wearing this is navy, black, jeans, and white pants. This also comes in black and white, red and white, and gray and white. Here is the link to the tank.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a stripped tank topThis is almost the same exact tank top but in a little different color. This has the addition of the black stripe, which will look gorgeous with black pants. If you are on Instagram, then you need to make sure that you follow me and then check out my stories. I am showing each of these items in the Instastories, and I’ll be talking more in-depth about each item.

Also, this top comes in that blush color that I mentioned earlier, so I might need to order that one too. Here is the link to the top.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a safari jacketNotice my tan fetish? Lol! I HAD to have this safari jacket as soon as I saw it, and I couldn’t wait to try it on. Evidently, I am not the only person who loved this jacket because it is almost completely sold out.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a safari jacket with buttonsI loved the way that you could make the jacket fit better since there is a drawstring inside the coat. This is 100% cotton, and it is machine washable. I plan on wearing this with the two tank tops that I showed you in the first couple of looks. Here is the link to the jacket, but don’t fret if your size is already sold out. Here is a link to another coat that is very similar, except that it zips instead of buttons.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a cranberry trench coatIt is raining once again here in Virginia, so this gorgeous trench coat would be perfect for me. When I think about spring, I always think of spring showers, and a trench coat is an excellent lightweight coat for the season.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old showing the back of a red trench coatHere is how the coat looks from the back. I love the tie waist and how it helps to create a waistline for me. This jacket is long enough in the back to cover your rear, which is something that I want to be covered at all times. Lol!
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a cranberry double-breasted trench coat The double-breasted style is very stylish and classic. The buttons look like tortoiseshell, and they are gorgeous. This is a coat/jacket that you will get a lot of wear from, and it will turn a lot of heads. I am wearing a size large, which fits great, because I want it to be loose enough for me to wear a sweater under it. Here is the link to the trench coat.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a denim jacketI posted about the denim jacket being on sale a week ago. I hope that you were smart and ordered it in because it is almost sold out.  Extra smalls are the only size left at this time.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old showing the back of a denim jacketYou can see that this jacket is in the crop style, and it leaves your rear exposed. Lol!
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a denim jacket and a stripped topI love a denim jacket for spring; it is so easy to throw it on since it goes with almost every look. It looks great with dresses, skirts, and pants, and jeans. I have worn it with cocktail dresses, and it makes you look modern and young. Here is the link if you are an extra small, and you better grab it before it is completely sold out.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a floral print button up shirtThis 100% cotton button-up shirt is adorable!!!! I had no idea when I ordered it that it was going to be so cute. The pattern is beautiful, and I love the colors. But, the unique details are what has me so excited about this shirt.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old showing the contrasting print on a floral shirtLook at the polka dot print that peaks out from under the collar and the cuff. If you “pop” your collar, then the contrasting print will shine and give your shirt visual interest. I love to roll up my sleeves, and you can bet that will happen with this shirt.
Talbots try on session from Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a floral shirt with contrasting printsThere is an added dimension down the placket. Look at the stripes that run down the length of the shirt. I can’t wait to wear this with a white denim jacket with the collar showing the dotted print, and the cuffs rolled up! I am wearing a medium, and I think that it fits me perfectly. It is long enough to wear hanging loose, but in my videos (on Instastories later today), you will see me showing other ways to wear the shirt. Here is the link to the shirt.

I hope that you like these try-on sessions. I don’t know about you, but I am all worn out, and that is only about half of the clothing that I have to show you. Be sure to check back tomorrow for the remaining items. I’ll be styling these items in the next couple of weeks, so grab your items and then watch to see how I end up styling them.

  1. Me too but then I think traffic, waiting at register, changing rooms. I swear the changing room follows me around so I look older I it. I love the tank and the jackets. I just own too many jackets that I never wear. We just don’t have the cold weather to justify them. But tanks are like shoes. Can you own too many?

    1. Lol! You can’t own too many! Hahaha

  2. You look beautiful in all of them! I’ll take one of each! Lol

I’m now going to look through their catalog Thanls.

    1. I have found that I like the clothing better in person than in the catalogs. That is why I like doing the try-on sessions.

  4. That red jacket looks fabulous on you! Have a wonderful day:)

    1. I have to admit that I love that trench.

  5. Talbots is my favorite! Cute choices.

    1. I love Talbots too. Their clothing is classy and great quality.

  6. Loved your Talbot’s try-on session today. I bought a very similar, if not the same, navy safari jacket from Talbots just last week. (Tan colors are really unflattering to me with my coloring unless worn away from my face.) And I got very inspired to buy a striped tank in back or red. The one you modeled fits so well. Did you buy a large or medium?

    1. I ended up buying the medium size in both of the tanks and it fit great.

  7. not too grainy at all, lots of great looks!

    1. I am not so sure about Lightroom, Nancy. But, I do love the trench.
