It is getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes. Lol! That silly song was in my head all day on Saturday. I don’t know what part of the country you are reading this from, but here in the South, there has been a heatwave. On my way back from Kentucky, I looked over on my dash, and the temperature gauge reading was 100 degrees. ? ? ?
As hot as it was here, this is was not the hottest part of the country. I bet a lot of you had temperatures way above 100 degrees. It sure makes you thankful for air conditioners, but I couldn’t help thinking about the people who had to work outside, or those who might not have a good air conditioner. Here in the Appalachian Mountains, there are a lot of impoverished people, and a lot of older people do not have air conditioners in their homes. With temperatures this hot, it is perilous, even for pets. So, please make sure to keep their water bowls full. I throw ice cubes into the water bowl for my outside cat and place it in the shade for her. Please be careful in the heat and take precautions if you have to be outside. Keep hydrated and take plenty of breaks.
I love taking a bathing suit cover-up and repurposing it for my clothing. Versatility is the name of the game! That gives me more bang for my buck, and that makes me happy. Lol! I love the colorful stripes and tassels. I bought this cover-up last year with the 1000.00 shopping spree from Nordstrom. I picked this to take on my trip to Cancun where I wore it over my bathing suit, and even over a long maxi-dress. Here are a few cover-ups that I think would be versatile also.
I am wearing the Marina silver and turquoise necklace, and I added the Brendalee pendant. The necklace is also versatile since it can be worn long or short. I am wearing it in the long version here.
The pendant is versatile also because it is two-sided. One side is turquoise with your monogrammed initial, and this side is a bright yellow (looks pale here but look at the website) with a butterfly and a blue flower.
I am wearing two bracelets from the Randee set, and the third bracelet was part of a Posse set from last month. The Randee set come with a set of four bracelets, all on an elastic cord, and you can mix and match them any way you would like.
I think the raw hemmed jeans are from Old Navy, (click here). I have way too many jeans to remember where I get them. Lol! I know it is too hot for jeans right now, so you could easily wear a pair of shorts instead. Take my outfits as suggestions, and then make them your own. I am also wearing a light purple tank top from the Loft Outlet, and a pair of Sperry leather sandals.
I wanted to share a few photos of the event that I attended for my business partner in Kentucky. I tease her all of the time because she was my biggest skeptic. Lol! Now, she loves the products and the business.
My Energizer Bunny Friend is on the left, Johnna is in the middle, and that would be me on the right. We had a lot of fun, and her home was beautiful. I have banned her from ever coming to visit me in Grundy. Lol!
Look at this presentation, and you should have seen the food!!! I love meeting my readers, and I know that this is only the first trip of many to come.
