INSIDE THE DRESSING ROOM, HANDBAG EDITION
Last week, I linked to several Coach handbags from the Coach Outlet store. There was a lot of activity on those links, which tells me that there are a lot of Coach handbags fans on this blog. I’ve been buying Coach handbags for over 20+ years because I love the design and colors and because they are a great quality bag that will last.
My daughter and I recently made a quick trip to Asheville to The Biltmore Estates. (You’ll see photos from that soon) We decided to visit a few of my favorite outlet stores on our way home, and my first stop was Coach. A “try-on” haul doesn’t always have to be clothing; today, it will be handbags! It is hard to tell how big a handbag is from the online descriptions, so I figured you would enjoy seeing the size compared to my body.
This BOLD PINK color caught my eye. I’ve had a bright pink leather tote from Vera Bradley for a long time, and I carry it way more than I ever thought that I would. It is a great way to add a pop of color to any outfit. The Town Bucket Bag comes in other colors, but I’m partial to this bold pink color and a chalk (cream) version that would be great to carry all Spring and summer.
The small Town Bucket Bag in the signature canvas has a pop of pink on the interior. It is also cute and an easy way to add a tiny bit of color to your look. I can’t find this version online, but the black signature canvas version is here.
Here are a few other styles in the Signature Canvas/Bold Pink color:
Yes, I am that kind of gurl who wants a matching wallet for my handbag. Lol! This Long Zip Around Wallet holds a lot, and I love the soft pebbled leather. There are many different colors and patterns in this wallet, and you can see them all here. See a photo below of the inside of the wallet.
Since St. Patrick’s Day is next week, I thought I would show the Pennie Shoulder Bag in this lovely dark green version. It is also available in black and gorgeous brown color, but this green is another way to add a pop of color.
I don’t have the other strap shown, but there is another detachable 20″ strap inside the bag that will let you wear this handbag as a crossbody or a longer drop shoulder bag. You will find yourself carrying this bag more than you think, so don’t be intimidated by the green color. I also like that this bag has outside pockets to keep your phone or keys there, and you don’t have to go digging around inside the bag.
The Mollie Tote Handbag is probably the most popular Coach handbag. It is a great-sized bag, and I love the interior large zip pocket (see below). This handbag comes in many different colors, but I wanted to show you this Signature Jacquard with Stripes.
This striped handbag has a deep pinkish-colored zip pocket inside. I love the pinkish color contrast against the normal light brown interior. These are details that make a handbag special. Also, notice that the Coach hangtag is in the same deep pink color.
The matching striped wristlet is smaller than the long zip-around wallet. The wristlet does have two slots inside for credit cards, but the rest of the interior is open. My daughter was thinking about this wristlet, and she made sure that her phone would fit inside it. She also had me put the wristlet in the back pocket of my jeans so she could see if it would stay secure when I walked.
The wristlet in the photo is the deeper pink color, but it is the same size as the striped version above.
I just had to show you the blue Mollie Tote so that you could see this gorgeous lemon zip pocket interior. This handbag is for the fun-loving gurl who wants a handbag with personality. Yellow has never been a color that I gravitated toward, but wait until you see the handbags below. I am obsessed with this bright yellow color!
This Double Zip Wallet is the one that my daughter ended up purchasing. She bought the blue version, but I also love this sunny Retro Yellow version. This wallet is a tiny bit bigger than the zip wristlet, but it still fits in my back pocket. Lol! My daughter doesn’t carry a handbag (gasp), so she is picky about her wallet. She liked this one since it had two zip pockets, and she could keep her keys, money, etc., separate from her phone.
This trio of mini bucket bags is super cute, but they are way too small for me. I love large handbags that I can cram full of my things, but these would still hold your essentials and add an element of fun to your outfit. The mini bucket bag comes in Retro Yellow, a deep pinkish color, and bright orange. All you Clemson or University of Tennessee fans might like the orange one. Lol!
Can you see it on my face? THIS is the handbag that “I” wanted. I left the store without it, but I think that I “need” this handbag. It is so fun, and I think it would look great all spring and summer with so many outfits. Plus, I’m trying to talk Joe into going on a beach vacation, and you know this sunny bag would look fabulous on my trip.
This is the Lane Carryall, and I think it is a great medium-sized handbag. This is a dressier handbag than I usually carry, but it would look fantastic dressed down also. How about carrying this for Mother’s Day or Easter? Can you tell that I want this bag? Lol! Here are some other styles in Retro Yellow if you would like a slightly less dressy bag or something smaller instead.
I even shopped the men’s section to see if I could find Joe a new wallet. He loves the one he has, but since he has an upcoming birthday, I was looking for something he might like. This black Structured Brief looks like something he might like. He is still carrying an old briefcase I bought him when he graduated college, which was a looooong time ago. The brief is on sale for 60% off, so it is a great deal!
Now, this Dempsey Tote is the size handbag that I like. When she saw me carrying it, my daughter laughed and said that it still wasn’t big enough. Lol! This is for all of you neutral-loving ladies. This light khaki and signature jacquard print combine the signature canvas with leather for a stunning handbag. There is also a wide strap that you can attach if you want to carry the tote on your shoulder.
The Cammie Bucket Bag also has the same colors, but it is a smaller handbag for those who don’t want such a large tote. I like the chain handles, but it also has a shoulder strap to make it more versatile.
I found this Dairy Embroidered Zip Wallet that is unique and different. This wallet is the medium version of the Long Zip Wallet I linked to above. It has lots of slots for your cards and license, a place for dollar bills, and a zip coin pocket. This is a great small wallet. It is limited in inventory and is on sale for 70% off the retail price!
I’m still debating on this handbag. What do you think?
Let me know which handbag is your favorite and if you like the bright colors coming out for Spring. I told you that bright colors would be a Spring Trend for 2022!

I have to get to a Coach store. I also love Coach!
I just want to say I recently found your blog and love it!
Live the yellow and any of the bright pink.
Yes for pink… yes for yellow!!!
There are bloggers that are my exact age, some that are younger and some that are older. But every outfit or accessory you present hits the nail on the head. Never costumey or bland-just well put together. The purses today are great and I have loved Coach for years. Still have some of my original all leather ones. I need a new purse and may need to start looking. Thanks for the great styles.
I love them all !! But the Mollie bag is my favorite!!
Love shape and size of the green bag. Love outside pockets for my phone,
I am not much of a purse gal BUT I LOVE YOUR DOUBLE CHAIN NECKLACE !!!

Hmmm, that orange mini bucket bag is perfect for us Oklahoma State Fans “America’s brightest orange”!
I just have to tell someone about the awesome Coach bags I got at my local antique store last month: Kristan bag in Silver for $32.00, Edie bag in luggage tan for $48.00, leather duffle sack in dark brown suede for $68.00 all 3 in excellent shape. I am over the moon at my finds .I looked up original costs on them & they were $275.00, 350.00, & 375.00 respectively
Those were great finds. You would have loved a yard sale I did several years ago…I sold probably 6 or 7 Coach bags for $20 each.
I love the mini bucket bags. Perfect size for me. You look fantastic in jeans and shirt. You can really see the weight loss.
I love the bright colored handbags! I think the yellow one has your name written all over it.
LOVE the yellow bag!!!Also love the blue with yellow interior. The wallet in your back pocket with the carrier strap hanging out might invite a pick pocket!
Darn you Tania!! Now I had to go buy that pink purse and the matching wallet!!! (But thrilled to do so, and happy to find them for a great price!) Thanks for always having a great blog to follow!!
Tania, you need that yellow bag. It was made for you! I’m loving the embroidery wallet! Thanks for the post!
Love the colors! Can you also share details on your top and jewelry especially the bracelets. Thanx!
This is such a great post! I love your shopping outfit. You look casual yet classic and very skinny. Yes to buying the lemon colored purse. Perfect for spring🐥
the dempsey tote is EVERYTHING!!! I like this post because it shows the colors better, I think, than the stock photos
So many great purses …. how to choose just one?! Also, I like your sweater, can you share the details on it?
Wow, Tania! I loved this post! Handbags! Yes! The Dempsey tote is my favorite. I already own a similar Coach bag, bit of a different shape. Probably more than 10 years old now. I think you should go with the yellow. It totally suits your personality and style.
Thank you for this post! So fun and different and we all need info on handbags….the yellow one is adorable!
I thought the yellow one was adorable also.
Gurl!..you look so skinny! good job!
Wow! Thanks, Becky!
What a creative post! I love the handbag try on haul!
Susan, I’m glad you liked the post. I’ve never done anything like it before.
Although I’m not usually a fan of yellow, I really like that yellow bag for a sunny pop of colour in the spring and summer.
It is such a pretty sunny color.
I love that Lane bag. I think I need it in that yellow color.
I bought myself a green bucket bag from Coach for Christmas. I also have the Town bucket bag and love it.
I have several designer bags but my Coach bags are my favorite.
Connie, I think Coach bags are great too!
Go for the yellow bag. It looks great!
I loved it too!
I love most anything yellow so that bag really caught my eye! You definitely should get it Tania!
I am still thinking about it, Mary Beth.
Love the bags! I’m only 5’ tall so most of the bags you’ve shown today are much too big for me except for the mini bucket bags which are really really cute!
There are lots of smaller bags to choose from. You would think the extra 6″ of height would make that big of a difference.
You look soooo slim! The hard work has paid off.
Thanks, Ann! I’ve been in maintenance mode, but I’m starting to try to lose 10 more pounds.
