Do you ever do something that has you shaking your head and wondering what is wrong with you? No? Maybe it is just me then because I seem to do silly things all of the time. Yesterday was a photo day for me. So, I got all gussied up and started looking through my clothing that arrived over the past few days. I found a shirt that I wanted to wear (not this outfit, but one that you’ll see later) and a pair of pants that I already owned, and then went to take my photos.
I took my photos, and since I have decided to try and do a short description of each outfit on my Instagram stories (be sure to check it out), I went to my office to record the video before I changed clothing. I knew all about the top since it was new, but I wanted to double-check the label inside my pants to make sure of the brand and the size. These pants were a pull-on version, so before I did the recording, I pulled them down to look inside for the information. That is when I noticed that I had the pants on BACKWARDS! I couldn’t help but crack up at being so silly. The good thing is, you couldn’t tell from the photos because the top covered the pockets. Lol!!! I have heard of people wearing clothing inside out, but never backward. Especially not a fashion blogger! Bahahahaha
This red brick or clay color had become a favorite of mine this year. It is a color that I wouldn’t normally associate with fall, but there isn’t anything about this year that seems to be normal. The halter top crochet sweater is softly fitted, and it hits me right at my hips. I am wearing a medium in this sweater, and it fits great. If you are between sizes, I would recommend sizing up. I bought another top in medium, and even though I can wear it, I would prefer a larger size. This top would look great worn casually with jeans, and it would look fantastic dressed up with a blazer and a skirt. It comes in 5 colors, and I think that I am going to order the winter white also since you can never have too many white tops. ALSO, they have a sale that ends TODAY, buy one, get TWO free on their tops and sweaters. SO, shop and stock up. HERE is the link to this sweater, and below are some of the things that I’ve ordered, or am thinking about ordering. Just click on the photo of anything you like, and it will take you to the website.
The hoop earrings that I am wearing is the Zanzibar hoops (HERE) from Lilly Pulitzer. They are a great size, but they are still lightweight. I don’t like wearing heavy earrings or necklaces because they give me a headache. I ordered a few more items from Lilly last night, and I’ll link them below for you to see. I thought they were so pretty that I couldn’t help myself. Lol! The Reid necklace with the Ivory Mother of Pearl drop pendant and the Fallyn bracelet from Kendra Scott are favorites of mine, and I am sure that you are sick of seeing them. I am ordering more and more items, but I keep coming back to my favorites.
Speaking of a favorite…these gold braided sandals have become a summer favorite of mine. I love the color of the gold because it is not brassy looking. It is a matte color, and it goes with everything. It always takes me about three times wearing thong sandals before they are comfortable. I think that my toes forget what it feels like to wear them and have to be retrained each year. These braided sandals come in several other colors if you don’t care for gold, and they are under 18.00! HERE is the link.
I wasn’t sure if I would like these shorts since they have pleats. I am not a fan of pleats; they usually make my tummy area look even bigger than it is. However, these shorts didn’t give me that effect, and I liked that they had a polished and dressy look to them. The button detail is gorgeous, and for you that like to tuck in your shirts or tees, they would give a unique detail that makes the outfit look special. I am wearing my usual size 10 in these shorts, but this color is no longer available. However, the shorts do come in navy and red. HERE is the link to the shorts.
