There are two types of people in this world — the ones who have already decorated for Christmas, and the ones who wait until after Thanksgiving. Oh wait, I guess there are three types, and the 3rd type is the ones who don’t decorate for Christmas at all. I fall into a fourth category, the kind who doesn’t take their Christmas tree down at all. Lol! I swear, this year I am going to take my tree down after the first of the year. Now I am going to have to think of something that I can put in that corner. Haha! I am getting in the Christmas spirit this year, and I even went shopping for a few presents on Sunday afternoon. My daughter-in-law and I drove the 1 1/2 drive to our nearest shopping mall, and we loaded up on clothing and a few toys. We left Emersyn at home with her daddy so that we could buy her a few things without her around. She called us at least ten times while we were shopping and kept giving us suggestions. Lol! Have you started your shopping yet, or are you going to wait until Black Friday to do it all at once? I loved this poncho as soon as I saw it online. I still love buffalo plaid, but I really like this plaid style for fall and winter. The large cowl neck is more flattering to me than a tight neck, but you might have a different opinion. This poncho is perfect for Christmas or a football game. It is very versatile, and it will look great with jeans. Because a poncho is roomy and flowy, air can get up under it, making you chilly. So, to fix that problem, I always try to wear a t-shirt or camisole under the poncho and tuck it into my pants. Problem solved! This poncho is from Talbots (link), and here are a couple more that I really like.
I have no idea where I purchased this tassel necklace. It is something that I have had for a long time. But, you can purchase a pair of cute druzy stud earrings in black that will go with almost anything. They are called the Kellyanne, and they are only 1/2 inch round. The magnetic silver bracelet with the black crystals is the Essie. I love that the crystal catches your eye as you move. This style bracelet is really easy to put on and take off, which is perfect for anyone with arthritis.
Here is a good look at my Marc Fisher black ankle boots with the silver buckle trim. I have had these boots for a long time also, but I always drag them out each fall. The pointed toe helps to elongate my legs, and even though I have long legs, they can still use all the help that they can get. The longer your legs look, the thinner they appear. This style of ankle boot looks great with jeans as well as with dresses, so they are very versatile.
So, what do you think about the faux leather leggings? Are you brave enough? I get it, I was a little hesitant also when I first bought them, but I am really starting to warm up to them. If you like the look of the outfit but are still on the fence about the faux leather leggings, maybe you might like a different style legging. Here are a couple of other options for you. My leggings (here) are by Spanx, which are great at holding you in and hiding any dimples you might have. I am wearing a size large for sizing reference.
I hope that you are liking the legging series that I am doing. I am trying to show you that there are a lot of options available to you with clothing items; you have to think outside the box. Love the poncho! I just bought a block oversized cowl neck sweater at kohls! I really like it, wonder if I should get a bigger size so it’s really slouchy, not sure! BTW, I’m pretty much finished shopping!
Love the look. I love red & black. (My school colors, but not why I like them so much.) I have some leggings but I don’t wear them in public very often. I feel “exposed”, I think. I wear slacks or jeans mostly. (So I don’t have to wear pantyhose! And I am very uncomfortable with bare legs.)
I am almost finished with Christmas shopping. I try to start in January so my “budget” isn’t hit so hard this time of year. And I really don’t like to shop. I love to LOOK…& usually find lots of stuff, but I hate shopping under pressure.
Love hearing from you each day.
Great look Tania! I do have a red hooded cape that I will now pair up with black leggings. Happy Anniversary to you and Joe! Thanks for showing us different ways to wear leggings. I’ve been wearing mine for a while now after my Multiple Myeloma diagnosis and they are very comfy for me. I enjoy looking at all of the outfits that you post as I look for something similar to wear that I may have in my closet. Enjoy your day Tania and be safe!
That poncho looks very seasonal. Ideal colours for the festive season.
