Every year, the fashion folks get together to decide what colors are going to be “in” this year. Thankfully, there’s usually a number of them, so if you don’t like one, don’t worry, there will be others. If that sounds like a disclaimer, it is. lol. One of the colors for 2024 is mint. Mint is not my color, and if it’s not something you wear a lot, either, I’m here to help. Today, I’ll be showing you how to incorporate the color mint into your wardrobe in several fun ways.

This is about as close as I get to wearing mint near my face. According to the website, this is sage green, but I say it is close enough. That counts in horseshoes, so I’m declaring that it counts for shades of green. I love it with the column of white, and it will be prefect for spring.

The same way I can wear peach would also work for mint. I kind of like these mint jeans; I mean, do these say “spring” or what? These are 98% cotton and 2% spandex, so they have a bit of stretch. The ankle length is very in right now, and I’d pair those with some plain white sneakers. If you don’t love the color, of course, they are available in several others. Around $45 dollars.

Here’s a basic t-shirt that would be great for layering. Wouldn’t this look great paired with a white denim jacket or a navy blazer? This shirt comes in many colors, and the reviews are very good. It has 2,000 reviews and a 4.4-star rating. Not bad for a shirt that’s under $20 dollars.

I love so much about this top! Eyelet is one of my favorites. It just looks cool and summery. Of course, I’m also a fan of the square neck. I don’t think designers use it enough. The sleeves are a great length, and so is the hem! Available in a ton of colors and under $25 dollars.

If you live where temperatures are cooler, you may prefer a long-sleeved mint option. This is a slim fit, which you might prefer over the huge, oversized items that have been so on trend lately. There’s a reason Spanx is a billion-dollar company, lol! This is available in many colors and is around $40 dollars.

This incorporates two trends – mint and bows! I think cropped sweatshirts look very cute. Of course, I always wear mine over a cami. This is from the SweatyRocks brand, which a lot of people swear is comparable to Lululemon. Available in every color under the sun to size XX-L Plus.

Going to a spring or summer wedding? Let’s face it. Who isn’t! Wedding season is upon us, and this would be a great option for wedding guests to wear. The V-neck is flattering on almost everyone, and it has sleeves for those of us who don’t love our upper arms. Available in tons of colors and around $60 dollars. I wore this dress last year when I was in Miami; click here to see how it looked on me.

Sneakers are a great way to incorporate a trending color; even I can do this! These low top sneakers are just $20 dollars! I think these would be darling with a pair of white jeans or a cute maxi skirt. If you really want to get fancy, have the tongue monogrammed! They have a lot of fans. They’ve been reviewed over 28,000 times and have a rating of 4.4 stars! Ok, I influenced myself…I just ordered these. I can’t wait to wear them with a pair of denim shorts and a white tee.

Everyone needs a cute crossbody purse! I already own this crossbody in black, sand, and hot pink, and now in mint. 😝 This is a nice size – 8.5″ (W) x 6″ (H) x 2″ (D) and has an adjustable strap. I think the tassel is a great detail! It’s faux leather, of course, but the price reflects that. It’s a very affordable purse and an easy way to look on-trend.

Finally, I love a great pashmina shawl. This mint version would be perfect for cool spring days or even to keep with you during the summer months for those freezing restaurants. It’s large -79×26 inches (including the fringe). I love to wear mine with party dresses as an easy and elegant shawl. You won’t believe how inexpensive this is – about $15 dollars!

Okay, Gurls. Let me know in the comments what you think about this year’s color. Will you be adding a bit of mint to your wardrobe?

  4. They say, “everything old is new again”. At nearly 60 years of age, I am amused by the trends that are popular now. The peach and mint green colors? Those were a friend’s wedding colors in 1981(it was called seafoam green back then though.) I do enjoy you sharing how real people can wear the trends.

  24. Like you, I am not sure I own anything mint, except a pair of mint linen pants from Talbots last year. I have found I have trouble wearing them because I don’t know what to put near my face. I will have to try again. Beautiful color. The sneakers look like Converses, which are very $$$.

    1. I can’t wait to get these sneakers.

  31. I love your articles and emails, so entertaining. I probably have the color mint in some prints/florals in my closet, but it’s usually too pale for my skin tone, so like peach I will probably stay with my jewel tones this summer. Have a blessed week.

  32. I like the sweater you are wearing the best. Mint is not my color.

  33. While mint is probably not the best color for me, your choices were intriguing. I particularly like the first cardigan and the sweatyrocks crop sweatshirt with bows. I would consider adding those to my wardrobe to pick up on this trend. Thank you!
