Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt with gold writing and jeansRemember when we thought that January was a long month? Dang, I don’t believe that March is ever going to end. Yesterday, here in Virginia, the Governor announced that schools are closed for the rest of the year, and all non-essential businesses would close for 30 days. I also saw that many other states also did similar shutdowns. I am sure that this will help to slow the virus, and it is for the good of the country. Hopefully, those whose jobs are impacted will be able to get relief from the government soon. There is no great solution to this problem, and I know I am BOLDLY praying for relief sooner rather than later.Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a white t-shirt with gold writing and jeans A lot of moms have been struggling with having the kids home a lot earlier than expected. I’ve seen lots of posts about ways to keep them entertained, and I know that many moms are grateful for all of the ideas. For us older women, we are dealing with a similar issue…our husbands are now home ALL THE TIME! I remember when I was pregnant with my daughter over 30 years ago, talking to my neighbor, who said her husband had recently retired. I smiled and said, “that’s great!” She looked me straight in the eye and said, “you think so? He is driving me crazy! He is under my feet all of the time.” Lol!

I’ve thought about that lady a lot over the years. At first, I was confused, after all, I was still a newlywed, and I wondered why on earth would this woman not want her husband home all the time. I understand her mindset a little more now. Lol! Joe likes to be busy, and he can’t stand sitting still. Those are not good traits during this time; however, I have found a solution. The solution is simple; it is called a “Honey, DO List!” I’ve been adding to my list daily, especially since my new office is nearing an end. Husbands are like children; we have to give them activities to keep them busy. Lol!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt and jeansLadies, we have a lot of jeans to look at today! The first pair that I am bringing you today is from Old Navy. I love the dark wash of these bootcut jeans! These fit very nice and snug, and the material is relatively lightweight. I am looking for jeans for the summer, so I don’t want jeans that are heavy or stiff.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a pair of bootcut jeansThis pair has a small amount of flare, just perfect for going over boots later this fall. They have 2% spandex, so there is some stretch, but not like leggings. These feel a tiny bit short on me, and I would prefer them to be about an inch longer in case I want to wear shoes with a small heel. The inseam is 32″, so I might order the long which is 34″.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt with gold writingThese fit great! I am wearing a size 10, my usual size, and they hit right below my belly button. For more details on any of the jeans, you can check out the video below. These are called a Kicker Boot-cut jeans, and since they are on sale at 50% off, they are under 20.00 right now. Here is the link.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt with gold writing and distressed jeansYou might have seen a glimpse of these jeans the other day when I did my Spring & Summer shoes try-on session. (here) Several of you started asking about the jeans, so today, I am telling where they were purchased. I love distressed jeans, but I know that a lot of you are going to keep scrolling. Lol! These jeans have huge rips at the knees, which is a big trend this summer.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in distressed jeansThe length is perfect for rolling up for a cuffed look. These jeans are a straight cut, so they are slim through the hips and thighs, but straight at the leg and ankle. I loved how soft these jeans were and how they already had a broken-in look.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old showing the rise of a pair of jeansI am pointing at my belly-button, so these are a high waist jean. These jeans fit me great, and they are one of my favorites from the entire bunch. (more to follow on Thursday) They don’t show a muffin top, which is a big plus, and in the videos, I show how each pair of jeans fits at the waist. Warning, you will see my rolls, so be prepared. These are a size 10, and they are a little loose, but I love that because it adds to the style. Here is the link to the distressed jeans.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt with gold writing and cream colored jeansWhen the website said that these jeans run small, they weren’t kidding. Lol! You can probably count all of my dimples by looking at these jeans. There are some things that I really like about these jeans, and if they were the correct size, they would be awesome.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a pair of cream colored jeansFirst off, I love the creamy color of the jeans. They are not a true white, but a light cream instead. Also, I love the contrasting stitching in dark gold color. I also like the ankle-length of these jeans. I ordered a 32W, which was supposed to fit like a 30-31W, which is what I usually wear. But, I guess that I should have sized up!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old showing the rise of a pair of cream colored jeansThese jeans strike me at my belly-button. Usually, I will order a slightly larger size in white jeans because I don’t want them so tight that you can see through them. I forgot to do that with these, but they are thick enough that you can’t see through them. If you look hard, you can barely see the outline of the pockets, and these are tight at a banjo string. Lol! Here is the link, and did I mention that you need to size up? Lol!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt with gold writing and black jeansBlack jeans and a white t-shirt is one of my all-time favorite looks in the summer. I had a hard time finding black jeans to bring to you for this try-on session because everyone that I found was sold out of sizes. I hope that these still have plentiful stock, but I wouldn’t count on it. These are from Old Navy, and they are the Pop Icon Skinny jean.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a pair of black ankle jeansI love the deep black color of these jeans. Make sure you wash these in cold water and separately the first time. I have no idea how they will wash up, but just in case they bleed the first washing, you don’t want to ruin any clothing. These fit me great, and they seem to hold you and shape you in all of the right places.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old showing the rise of a pair of black jeansThese jeans hit me right below my belly-button, and they weren’t bad to create a muffin top. I love the length of these jeans because they will be great with any type of shoe. But, I love this look, especially for wearing heels or pumps. Here is the link to the black jeans, and since they are 50% off, they will only be 20.00!Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt with gold writing and vintage style jeans Gurl’s, these are a pair of jeans that you need to consider seriously. I am declaring these my favorite, which ticks me off since I think that they are also the most expensive. But, I love everything about this pair of jeans, and I can’t find a single con about them. If anything, they are a tad loose, so I am going to order the next size down to see which pair I end up keeping. But I will be keeping one of them!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a pair of vintage style jeansThese are called vintage jeans, so maybe that is why I like them so much. I love the material, the stitching, the softness of the material, and the length of the jeans They are longer (33″) than most of the other jeans, but I like that so that I can wear them with heels.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt and vintage style jeansThese jeans also have the booty-lifting power, and the waistband had elastic for a nice fit that isn’t too tight. They hit at the belly-button, but there isn’t a muffin-top with these jeans. I think that you will love these jeans and here is the link.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt with gold writing and ankle jeansI have only recently discovered Wit & Wisdom jeans, but I am already hooked. These jeans are like wearing leggings. They are soft, stretchy, and they have a fantastic waistband that contains a wide elastic band. I wore a bootcut pair in yesterday’s post, and today I am bringing you this cute ankle-length pair.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old ankle jeans with a cuffThese are the perfect length for adding a small cuff for that summer-time look. I love wearing my jeans in the summer with this type of cuff with sandals, flats, flip-flops, etc. Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt with gold writing and showing the rise of a pair ofjeansThese are the lowest rise of any of the jeans that I am showing you today. They are a mid-rise, so they are still higher than the low rise jeans of the past. These are a fantastic pair of jeans for the summer, and you will love how they hold up in and lift you up. Here is the link to these jeans.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in a white t-shirt with gold writing and gray jeansI am not sure if these jeans are dark gray or faded black. Either way, they are a super nice pair of jeans, and you can’t go wrong with this pair. I like the ankle-length, which is perfect for rolling up or for wearing as is.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old in dark gray jeansThese are skinny jeans, and they fit me great. I am wearing my usual size 10, and they are snug, but not overly tight. They are super soft and made of stretchy denim, so they are comfortable to wear.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old showing the rise of a pair of dark gray jeansThis is the best photo of the real color of the jeans. They sit right under the belly- button, and this is the most affordable pair of jeans that I have shown you today. They are 16.00, but they are already running out of some sizes. If these jeans are a color and style that you have been looking for, then hurry before all of the sizes are gone. Here is the link.
Affordable jeans under 100.00 try-on sessionI hope you have enjoyed today’s session. I have several more to show you on Thursday, so be sure to tune back in.

  1. I love your circle of diamond necklace which I have been looking for. Where did you get yours. Thanks.

  2. Janet Williams says:

All look great but vintage i liked the most.

  3. I ordered the bootcut Old Navy jeans. So cute and an excellent deal!! I paid $20! I made the pound cake recipe you posted last week. All I can say is, DIVINE! As a matter of fact, I’m headed to the kitchen now for a piece. I’m not going to fit into the jeans I just ordered, if I stay this course. : ) Stay healthy!!

    1. Yay!!! That makes me so happy! Joe and I both love that cake.

  4. You made me laugh so hard ?

    1. It is TRUE! Joe is driving me crazy. Lol! Who knew that he was a chatterbox???

  5. Jeans are always the hardest item of clothing for me to get a good fit. So once I find a brand that works, I tend to stick with them. My current favorites are Loft, Wit & Wisdom and NYDJ (when on sale). These all look great on you.

    1. Those are some of my favorite jeans too. I also love Kut From The Kloth!

  6. Hi Tania. I look forward to your daily blog, especially at a time like this when it’s so tempting to stay in pjs all day…your cute outfits inspire me to hop in the shower and dress in something other than sweats or jammies, even if it is just to take the dog out for a walk! Keep up the good work, stay safe and be well ?

    1. Janice, at least put on some leggings. Lol!

  7. spacegeek says:

What about that FABULOUS T shirt???? 🙂 Must have!!

    1. I think that I bought that t-shirt a couple of years ago at Francesca’s.

  8. I told my husband he is going to have to find some other firm of recreation other than me. He has his musical equipment all over the house because he can’t play anywhere right now. That’s fun too. LOL
I love the expensive pair of course. I’m not sure I feel safe ordering things through the mail right now. I wonder if others have stopped shopping for a while. I wear gloves to the mailbox but I’m still nervous about it. Is it just me?

    1. Eve, I was nervous too. But, I did some research and packages and mail are not a huge threat. You should throw away the outer box, and then wash your hands.

    2. Dear Eve,
I’m a retired RN used to dealing with stuff that could be contained with body waste. I’ve devised a system for the packages depending on the material. If it’s in a box, it’s said the virus can live several days but on plastic it’s only a matter of hours. For the boxes and bags both, I put them in the garage to open them. I’ll put on some clean gloves — we have boxes of those blue ones — get my box ripper and slit open the box and then once it’s open I’ll take out what’s inside (These boxes are packed by robots, sealed by robots and the labels applied by robots. The stuff inside is sealed, often too well.) Then the box goes outside near the recycling can. I’m not saving boxes, since I’ve a ton already saved for moving. Gloves come off, and go into the waste basket outside the door. Not in the house but I do make sure they are inside out first. For those ubiquitous blue and white bags from Amazon I usually grab a pair of scissors and neatly cut of the end. Then rather unceremoniously I dump the contents at my feet. I’m saving those bags, but I put them outside. My housekeeper told they are great for packing framed photos for moving so they stay. I do take a glove and a wipe to the mailbox itself. That knob gets touched by the mail lady who opens hundreds a day. I started sorting the junk mail in the garage also, so the only things that come in are important.

I honestly think I’m probably over doing this but my husband is a cancer survivor and is over 70. He’s as healthy as a horse but I want to keep him safe.

  9. Sorry, Call me old fashioned. I just don’t get the ripped jeans trend. I do like the boot cut jeans from Old Navy. I think I’ll give them a try.

    1. Haha! A lot of people don’t understand them, so you are not alone.

      1. Me too Jenny. My daughter and granddaughter both love that look. They are 21 and 40. I’m 70. I do like faded looking but two things drive me nuts — loose threads at the hem or in the holes. I think it’s the tickling not the visible skin. My mom used to put iron on patches on my jeans when I was a kid. Possibly her having grown up during the depression and being thrifty.

  10. Helen Tassara says:

Love your shirt. Where did you get it?

    1. That is an old shirt, and I can’t remember where I bought it. Maybe from Francescas.

  11. I laughed out loud at your “husbands are like children” line!!!!!! Cute Jean options. I might finally try a pair of Old Navy.

    1. I read it to Joe last night. He wanted to put his two-cents in, but I told him that he had to get his own blog if he wanted to post. Lol!

  12. Thanks for the jean videos. It really helps to have someone giving an honest opinion. Have a good day!

    1. I am glad that you liked it Teresa!

  13. I ordered the first pair – thank you!

    1. I tried on so many, that I had to go back and see which one you liked. Lol! Those are great and you’ll love that color.
