HOW TO EASILY CHANGE YOUR LOOK
Joe wants to close the swimming pool in the worst way. He is tired of the leaves falling in the pool, and he is threatening my trees with bodily harm. Lol! I expect a trim is heading the trees way, but I have threatened him with bodily harm if he kills my trees. I only have two big trees close to the pool, but they both have bunches of leaves that get in the pool daily. One is a beautiful Weeping Willow, and one is a River Birch, and they are both huge and gorgeous.
Men don’t get how women can be attached to trees and plants. The Weeping Willow tree is one that has special meaning to me. When we first moved to our house, we needed to clean the lot since it was terribly overgrown. In the backyard was a huge pile of bushes and brush, but my sister-in-law pointed out to me that a Weeping Willow tree used to be in this backyard, but it had been struck by lightning and died. We were pretty sure that some of the sprouts in the middle of the brush were part of the Weeping Willow tree that was coming from the old roots. So, I cleared away all of the brush and left the largest sprout that I could find. The sprout was only about 3 feet tall and probably no more than two or three inches in circumference. This is what the Willow looks like now.
It has grown a little in the last twenty-four years!
On Tuesday, I showed you an effortless outfit with this same shirt and jeans. (HERE) Today, I am going to show you how to wear the same clothing items, but make it look completely different with just a few changes. The first thing that I did was untie the button-down shirt, and I tucked it into my jeans instead. I do not wear a “tuck-in” shirt often because I have more tummy than I want to show. Then, to hide any bumps and bulges that I have on my sides, I added a linen jacket in a neutral color. The rolled-up sleeve gives this a casual look, and the blue of the shirt has a small peek-a-boo show. The linen jacket is old, but you can find similar ones like the ones below.

Love this look on you. Very slimming and classic.
This outfit is super slimming on you and one of my favorites!! I have always loved the look of a willow tree and yours is so pretty 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend!
I know what you mean about loving your willow tree. My grandmother had a willow. My mom says that’s how I learned to walk…grabbing the tree fronds and walking around the tree. ❤️
Love this look on you! You look Fantastic.
Thanks so much, Cindee!
Love this look. I also loved that you showed how to change it up from a casual look to this. It really looks so different! I was surprised. You have inspired me to try new looks with what I already have! That will be a good thing as we have two growing teenagers who keep growing out of clothes at home right now! Thanks!
We have more in our closets than we think. I am as guilty as anyone else for saying I have nothing to wear. What I mean is that I do not want to branch outside of what I usually wear.
I am loving this series. you’ve given me so many ideas on how to “expand” my wardrobe by just mixing things up a bit!
YAY!!!! That makes me soooo happy!
You can’t go wrong with this look. Save those trees! ????
Love the new hair length and the classy outfit!
I am surprised how much I like the shorter look of my hair. I have a full face, so short hair doesn’t always look great on me.
I bought 2 new blazers for Fall and I’m excited to copy this look!
Mary, I love blazers. I wear them all year long.
I LOVE this look! You look fabulous!!! I am so going to copy this!
It is an easy one to copy, Ann! I am glad that you like the look.
The perfect outfit!?Polished yet comfortable.
Thanks, Barb! It is one of my favorite go-to styles.
LOVE this look! So classy and a great color combination. And you can easily change it up with a different blouse, blazer or booties. Thanks for the inspiration!
Alison, this is a perfect example of how easily we can shop our closet.
Oh you should share some photos of your garden one day! You made me so curious!
I used to garden a lot, but not anymore. I just don’t have time.
