HOW I DRESS WHEN LOVE IS IN THE AIR
Love is in the air! Well, actually, love is on the sign. Can you believe this sign is where I live, and I’ve never seen it before today? I need to get out more often. Lol!!! I think this is the cutest sign made with corrugated tin and landscape timbers. The funny thing, the materials probably came from our lumber store. Haha! Anyway, if you are actually interested in what I am wearing, keep reading; I’ll eventually get around to it.
This beautiful lilac color is one of my favorites. Every time I wear something in this color, I will get comments or compliments. I have an old sweater hoodie in this color, and I love it for the softness and color. Sometimes I will have it on when I am doing a video, and it never fails that people want to link to it.
This is one of my favorite looks, it is comfortable and casual, and it is colorful. So, it is the three C’s of fashion! I’ll have to remember that for future use. Lol! Most days, I feel like I dress in the three C’s with just a few dressy days thrown in for good measure. What is your normal way of dressing?
Look at the way this top drapes!!! I love everything about this orchid top! The color is so soft and pretty, the draping is very feminine and flowy, and the sleeves are fantastic. There is a close-up photo of the smocked cuffs later in this post.
The crinkled fabric is very gauzy, and the neckline is stretchy and can be worn off the shoulder. I usually prefer wearing it like this instead of off the shoulders, but I like having the option. I am wearing a large in this top, and I love the fit!
Honestly, I didn’t have to wear any jewelry with this top since it was a star all by itself. But I love jewelry, and I couldn’t help myself. So, I added the large AVI hoop earrings, the Rebecca stretch bracelet in White Howlite, the Fallyn cuff bracelet, and the Davis Multi-Strand necklace that I wear all of the time.
Here is the photo of the smocked cuff that I was talking about. Isn’t this a cool detail? This light gray crossbody is one that I just ordered this past week, but it is already sold out. How many items are retailers keeping in inventory…three??? Anyway, my small rant is over, and I’ll link to some that are very similar.
I can’t believe that I didn’t get a better photo of these jeans. I don’t think that I have ever described jeans as adorable, but that is what comes to mind when I think of this pair. The waistband has a beautiful floral print; unfortunately, it isn’t viewable when you have the jeans on since it is gorgeous. The back view has a cute pocket detail, and I’ll show a photo of that below.
I cuffed the jeans so that the straight-cut raw hem shows up well. I like wearing my distressed hems in this way, but you can wear them down also. These jeans would look great dressed up with heels or casual with flats like I have styled them today.
This is a cute way to wear distressed jeans without them having holes in them. I am wearing my usual size 10 in these, and they fit me perfectly.
My two-tone espadrilles are great for spring and summer, and I have worn these already more than I thought that I would. I wasn’t sure which size I would wear in these shoes, so I ordered 2 different sizes. My usual size 9 is what fits, so these do run true to size. These are under $30.00, so they are affordable as well as cute.
Here is a wedge version of these shoes if you want something a little bit dressier. I have these wedges in solid red, and they fit great!
Did you see my V for victory sign that I did above? That means that I made it safely to my parent’s house even though it poured the rain the whole way there. All I could keep thinking was, “my poor peonies.” Lol! I think that I am going to invent an umbrella for peonies to bloom to their fullest finally. Lol!!!

This is one of my favorite colors, I’m in love (pun intended) with this top AND the sign! We have fun signs in Austin, but I’d love to visit and see this one!
Is that sign in Grundy? There’s one in Gate City too
Adorable outfit!
Would like to see a lower price point option. 😊

I consider 5 Cs when I dress… casual, comfortable, classy, confident, and creative! I’ve been trying to add more colour to my wardrobe as well, so perhaps someday that will become my 6th C.

I love the lilac top! The color looks perfect for spring. My peonies are not even close to blooming, but as soon as they are, we will get rain also…
Glad you had a safe trip down.
Love-ly! Thanks for the inspo Tania.

Love today’s top and yesterday’s dress. You must be wearing a strapless bra with both. Do you have a link to a good strapless bra? Thanks!
Beautiful pictures with the LOVE sign. Lilac is a flattering color for you. Glad you were able to visit your family.
PS Be sure and dig up your peonies when you move.
