HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO GET CASH BACK ON YOUR HOLIDAY SHOPPING
Y’all, I want to share with you how I save money while I’m shopping. I shop a lot for my work, and I’ve learned a trick or two for saving money while shopping. I will show you my shopping process and how I use Rakuten to get cash back on each order.
This outfit is one that I recently bought at Banana Republic Factory. I was able to get cash back on my entire purchase by using Rakuten. You may be wondering who or what Rakuten is, so let me explain. “Rakuten is an online shopping website that rewards you for shopping – you can earn cash back at over 3,500 stores across every single category – clothes, shoes, beauty, electronics, home essentials, school supplies, travel, and more – all of your favorite stores are on our website and your cash back really adds up!“
I joined Rakuten years before I ever started blogging. It is so easy to use, and every three months, I receive a check for cash back on my purchases. As you can see, the cash back you receive can quickly amount to a lot of extra money.
You might have noticed that you can refer a friend with the Refer & Earn $30+ program. This is an excellent way for everyone to get extra cash, you give your friends your referral code, and you both get $30 when your friend joins and spends $30. Here is MY referral code; let me show you how easy it is to get started. You will be directed to the Rakuten website when you click the referral code. From there, you click on the JOIN NOW purple button.
You fill out the email you want to use, create a password, and then click JOIN NOW.
There are thousands of stores in Rakuten, and you can pick your list of favorites. The cash back amounts vary from time to time, and many stores now offer 10% back during the holidays.
You can shop through the Rakuten website or download the app and the browser extension. I use the Rakuten Cash Back Button, a free browser extension that automatically finds Cash Back, coupons, and deals with just one click. When you install the Cash Back Button to your browser, you can shop directly on your favorite sites without visiting rakuten.com first. The Cash Back Button will even search for the lowest price and let you know if we find one. And if the store you’re shopping at doesn’t offer Cash Back, they’ll let you know if there’s a similar store that does. It’s the easiest way to get Cash Back and find the best coupons without changing how you usually shop.
I love the Rakuten Cash Back Button extension because I am forgetful. Before I installed the extension, I would go shopping online, checkout, and then be mad at myself because I forgot to activate my savings. Now, I don’t have to worry about that.
When I logged in to Banana Republic Factory, I immediately got this reminder to activate my cash back from Rakuten. All you do is click the activate button, and you’ll get a notice that it has been activated. That’s it; you are now on your way to saving and getting cash back.
I get a message that I’ve activated Rakuten.
After I place my order, I’ll get an email about the savings I earned from my order.
This sweater was from QVC, and I saved money with Rakuten on it too!
I’ll be doing a lot of holiday shopping, and I love getting cash back on each purchase. Rakuten is FREE to join, easy to use, and the money you save can be our little secret. #shoefund

Cindy, I’ll have those in my post on Saturday.
Since 90% of my shopping is done online, I think I need to sign up on Rakuten. Thank you for explaining how it works! Cyndi Spivey’s post is on this same topic today.
Ginger, I have been amazed at how fast the savings have increased since I installed the Chrome extension. It reminds me to activate the savings, and that makes all the difference.
