GRANDCHILDREN ARE A BLESSING
I have been blessed in many ways, and I daily thank the Lord for all that he has given me, but I have been especially blessed with wonderful grandchildren. Two adorable little girls, and two rotten little boys, are everything I could have ever asked for. HOWEVER, have you ever heard the saying about “wrangling cats?” That would have been an easy task in comparison to getting a good photo of 4 children (all under the age of 8) together.
We met Courtney, from Courtney Baldwin Photography, at Southern Gap to start the session. I can just imagine her terror at having so many small children to try to photograph. We started off with a group session to try to get at least one good shot of all of them, and then started taking individual shots. They did amazingly well. Emersyn was probably the most uncooperative of them, but I still think she was able to get a few good shots. I will share the results later when we have the pictures.
For now, I am going to show you just a few shots that I took with my phone, while Courtney was working.
You may can see why I called a photographer, instead of me taking the pictures. Haha! They don’t tend to listen to me when I am giving directions. I sure hope Courtney had better luck! Lol!
The top I have on is several years old. I think it is all the colors that I like so much. I am not a fan of the ruffles, but it does add an element of interest to the top. The top is by Nicole Miller, and it came from JC Penny.
I have on a matching necklace and earrings set from Chloe & Isabel. The Mirabelle Petite Collar necklace and the Mirabelle Drop earrings are perfect for this neckline. I could have also worn a longer necklace, but since I was staying home, I just kept it simple. Sometimes when I wear a long necklace at the house, it gets caught on door knobs or cabinet drawers. I just broke a brand new necklace from Plunder before I even got to take the picture. It wasn’t the necklace’s fault, I stood up really fast and it caught on the knob. I’ve already ordered another one, and I picked up all the beads and pieces. I am going to see if my friend can make me a matching bracelet, there is always a way to make lemonade.
These shorts are new, and I bought them at Loft. We recently had a new store open up at the nearest shopping center to me. Don’t even ask how far it is from me, it is depressing ? I love the color of the shorts, I call it dark Orchid. I have no idea the real color.

You have the cutest grandchildren!!! My daughter just had a baby girl almost 3 months ago. It will see how they grow and develop their own sweet personalities!! I just LOVE your tops Tania!!! I tell you, from all of the post that I have looked at, it has been wonderful to go and search that designer and see all of the lovely items that pop up. This Nicole Miller is beautiful!!. Who knew Cynthia Rowley made clothes. I have been in the “home decor” world for 30 years, I see that she mades more than placemats and tablecloths…lol!!!

So sweet to see all the little ones together. It reminds me of when my kids were young and with their cousins. Group photos were a challenge but their grandparents adored them. Love your top. I have one with similar ruffles at the neckline that I bought at Anthropologie years ago.

What lovely, lively children and with such unique names too.
You look great in shorts. Your look is fresh and I love that you put blouses with shorts over there. Here, we don’t get more imaginative than a polo shirt or denim shirt with shorts, not that I wear them. I don’t have legs for shorts, sadly, mine are fat and short with awful knees. I have the legs for maxi skirt!
I like my maxi skirts too, Mary. Wear the shorts, no one will notice your legs but you. You might even start a new fad there! Lol!!!
I love these pictures! You are one happy grandma, just glowing. Between us, my husband and I have nine grandkids with one more on the way. The oldest is 22 and just graduated from college. We have teenagers mostly so it will be fun having a little one again. There is joy at all their ages, even the moody 15 year old!
I love seeing your grandchildren! I have 3 grandsons under 7 and they are just so fun. But tiring for sure. Enjoy their visit!! BTW, I guess the blog keeps you from ever having a sloppy, stay at home, no make up kind of day- you look great as always!

I know how difficult is to take pictures of small kids – 9 out of 10 snaps are blurred :O But luckily there is allways one of them that is absolutely perfect! And so are yours!

We tried to get them to say cheese, watermelon, or call for the dogs. There was no getting Emersyn to concentrate. The others understood what to do, but she didn’t care. Even the promise of bubbles afterwards didn’t work. Crossing my fingers for just “ONE” perfect shot!
You are all precious!!! The sweetest lil faces!! And you look great…just love Nicole Miller tops, but heck, you look beyond great and waaaay too young looking to be a grandma….hippest, most stylish grandma around!!
Isn’t being a grandmother just the best thing EVER?!! I think it must be my reward for raising two wild boys who both actually turned out to be good men, husbands and fathers. We have two boys and two girls as well and they are the joy of our lives. Yours and I can tell you feel the same way about them. God bless each of them!

Oh my goodness! Your grandchildren are the cutest! Can’t wait to see mine in a couple of weeks. Every summer I do a Cousin Camp for my grandchildren and the grandchildren of my brother and sister. The rule is they have to be toilet-trained. This year there will be seven children between the ages of two and eight. What was I thinking?? HaHa. It will be fun. Three days that seem like three weeks!

How cute is that!!! It will be crazy and fun at the same time. Emersyn keeps calling Matti her sister ?, keeps fighting with Jett ?, and you will find her whispering with Huttson.? What is amazing, is they only see each other 1 or 2 times a year. There is no shyness at all when they get together. They just grab each others hands, and off they run.

My eyes are drawn to your lovely necklace every time you wear it but I’ve just looked on the website and sadly they don’t currently ship to the UK so I shall have to admire it from afar.
