Gorgeous Floral Maxi Dresses You’re Sure to Love

I love a good maxi dress! They are so comfortable to wear, and they can be dressed up or down. One of my favorite patterns to wear is floral. Florals tend to hide a lot of flaws that a solid color might not—and I have a lot of flaws, lol. Looking for something to wear on vacation? Need a dress for a special event or wedding? Today, I’m sharing some gorgeous floral maxi dresses you’re sure to love!

You might have heard that a wrap dress is one of the most flattering dresses you can wear. That’s true, and to make it even more flattering, here is one in a gorgeous blue floral print. I love how feminine this dress looks, and it would be perfect for Mother’s Day or other events such as graduations.

Here is another wrap dress. You might have figured out that I’m partial to this design. Lol! The description of this dress is that it is a floral print, but it might actually be a leaf print. Either way, it is so pretty, and I love the neutral colors that would look great any time of the year.

This boho floral max is all about those summer vibes. It is super flowy and really comfy, and it has this adorable tiered design. Perfect for a beach day or just lounging around looking fabulous. I love this dress in this color, but it comes in tons of prints, so you’re sure to find one you love. The great thing about this print is that is could also be worn in the fall. Pair it with a cute cardigan if you don’t like the sleeveless aspect.

The colors of this dress are rich and saturated, and the floral print is perfect for Spring. The v-neck is flattering and helps to elongate your neck. It isn’t too low, so wearing this dress to Church would be appropriate. A handkerchief hem creates a lot of visual interest, but it can also be too long. Once I put on the dress, I was thrilled with the outcome. The dress is not tight at all, and I found myself swirling and twirling the whole time my photographer was trying to take a photo. Lol!

Someone asked me the other day if blue was my favorite color. I do wear a lot of blue, but I’m not sure it is my favorite color. Blue looks good on me because it matches my eyes, but I also love many colors. I’ve been styling a lot of pink and lilac lately, and I definitely don’t want pink eye. Hahaha! Color aside, look at the gorgeous print on this dress!!! I wore this dress under a blazer which will be great for spring or fall, but it looks just as beautiful without the blazer for the rest of the hot summer months.

This one shoulder dress is perfect for any upcoming events on your social calendar! A denim jacket or white blazer will complete the look and make it appropriate for chilly spring evenings. The day I took these photos, my photographer said, “I hope you keep that green maxi dress and pink blazer.” She said it was her favorite outfit, and I have to agree. Pink and green look great together, and the jacket brings out the tiny pink flowers in the dress.

    Beautiful dresses

  10. Ok, I want almost every dress here! Thanks, Tania. Lovely!

Glasses, contacts, yes. I had astigmatism in one eye. It went away, totally amazed my doctor! I do see better now with no contact or glasses for distance. Eyes change, and not just once.

  11. I love a good maxi dress!

  12. Ooh, the pink blazer is pretty! So are the dresses.

  13. Hi Tania, I love your blogs. You have gotten me back into shopping after 4 yrs of illness & Covid . I didn’t know where to start…not ready to go pounding the mall streets. I really enjoy a dress in the hot summer time! These r really cute and would be nice for an evening out among other things!

  16. Love the first dress from Kohl’s! The very same thing happened to me. My nearsightedness improved drastically and my contact and glasses prescription changed. My eye doctor told me this can be a normal process of aging. I really don’t need my glassed anymore to see how to drive, but I do need them to see the speedometer to see how fast I’m going. lol

    1. Oh, my! The speedometer is important to see. Lol!

    2. Love the kohls dress!

  17. You make all the dresses look so beautiful! Great selection!

  18. Vicki Farrell says:

Love a maxi dress and florals make them even better. They are a summer staple for me – throw them on and go anywhere!

  19. Hi Tania,
My eye doctor says our eyes change throughout our lives. I started wearing prescription glasses when I started college. I was slightly near-sighted and needed glasses to see the blackboard in school, to see the actors’ faces at the movies or the theatre, and to drive at night when I was tired. Otherwise, I did not put the glasses on my face. When I finished school, I found I could go weeks without wearing the glasses. Seeing the TV was easy and I usually did not need the glasses for driving. I kept the same pair of glasses from age 18 until sometime in my 50s! Around the time I first noticed that I needed reading glasses – mid50s – I started noticing that I could read street signs sooner than before. I used to feel disoriented in big stores like Sam’s Club. When I would look up at the big signs they were out of focus and made me feel “funny”. In my 50s I noticed that was no longer happening. I will admit that I was a “seldom flyer” at the opthalmologist’s office. When I made an appointment in my late 50s I was told I was no longer near-sighted. I had 20-20 vision! My doctor says my distance vision improved to the point that it is normal and that the change is not unheard of. Of course, now at age 69, I do have to rely on readers. I have a prescription pair for use at the piano and several pairs of over-the-counter glasses that I keep stashed in several places throughout my house and in my purse. It is nice not to need glasses for near-sightedness anymore.

  20. Lori Gorenflo says:

Love all the Boho dresses and all the patterns. I am definitely going to have to get me one for all the graduations and Mother’s day activities. Thanks for putting such a great list together.

  21. Linda Burniski says:

I don’t like long dresses on me but they look good on you.

  22. I love dresses!!! You have picked out so many beautiful choices!!! Happy Saturday❤❤❤

  23. Pretty dresses! Yes, regarding your glasses. It happened to me, I would suggest that your see your Optometrist and have your eyes checked. My distance vision had actually improved and my Dr. told me that my glassess were basically useless. I had it removed off my drivers license, I only need glasses for reading etc.

    1. I need to make an appointment. But, this happened once before, and within a couple of weeks, I was back to needing my glasses for driving.

  24. Beautiful dresses. I prefer dresses in the spring and hot summer months.

  25. very lovely dresses. I don’t know which one I like best

  26. Funny about your eyes. Same thing just happened to me. My vision would get blurry and I felt dizzy. Especially after driving far or watching a movie. Turns out an eye exam revealed my eyes improved! The Dr. said as we age our eye shape changes (like everything else) and it actually improves nearsightedness.

    1. That’s good to know!

  27. Mary Carol says:

I love florals because I think they hide my bulges. Ha!! Great collection of pretty dresses.

  28. On your glasses post…over the years my distance sight got way better. I had been pretty nearsighted. My opthamologist says it happens to some people. I need reading glasses now for very small print but never wear any glasses now except for driving. I am 78.

    1. Isn’t the body wonderful? Parts of us might be going down hill, and other parts are soaring.

  29. Barbara Forney says:

The floral wrap dress (second picture) is gorgeous on you. The colors complement your coloring. Just love that one.

  30. Pam Bowling says:

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all these dresses. I have had trouble finding a maxi dress that looked right on my body in the past. My Easter dress was a floral maxi dress, and I felt so feminine comfortable in it. Sometimes you just have to keep looking until you find the perfect one for you. I love all the wrap dresses you styled. Great post!

    1. Pam, you’re right! You need to do a lot of trial and error to find the style that looks best on you.

  31. Kerri White says:

Very cute dresses with a wide variety of colors and styles

  32. Mary Keniry says:

    These are so pretty!

  33. Tania, what beautiful maxi dresses! You look amazing in all of them. I, like Susan below, I am petite and hem almost all maxi dresses and heck, I hem most everything!! Ha
I had lasik eye surgery in the 80’s and I can still read without reading glasses but my eyes have gotten old so I need glasses now for distance. I am waiting on my time for cataract surgery. My doctor said one eye is barely showing evidence and nothing in the other eye– I will wait! 🙂
    Have a blessed weekend!
    Paula K.

  34. Ooo, lots of pretties! I like bold and bright too, lol. The Wearever dress looks very comfortable.

  35. Phyllis Martin says:

Stay warm this chilly Saturday! Love the feminine style these days.

  36. Becky Kerwin says:

Oh those are all so pretty but I can’t wear a maxi because I’m so short. Is there any petite maxi dresses out there????

    1. Becky, petite ladies can wear maxis, but you need to pay attention to the style and proportions. Look for ones with a higher waist or that can be belted higher. That will help to elongate your legs and you will appear taller. Stores like J.Jill, Chico’s, Talbots, and Old Navy regularly carry petite clothing.

  37. Kathy Salvo says:

    All gorgeous dresses!

  38. I love the wrap maxi dresses. You look great in them. I love wearing them. They’re so comfortable, especially with sandals!

  39. Kim Turley says:

    Tania,
I like your blog and view it almost daily as we are about the same age. I love these dresses on you, also. I especially like to see you posting scripture on your blog. Having a new grandson, sewing HIS Word into our younger generation is one of the commands HE gives us. Thank you for sharing.

  40. I cannot stop looking at the Prettygarden leaf print dress. The colors are so warm. I love it!!
I am also near sighted and recently had cataract surgery so am hoping I don’t need glasses full time.

  41. I had to laugh when I read your eyeglass situation. The exact thing was happening to me – I stopped contacts several years ago, but needed reading glasses because of working on the computer. Then it seemed that my distance glasses (which I’ve needed since I was 14) were bothering me. When I went for my eye exam last year, I was told my distance vision was 20/20! I could see the smallest line on the chart! The doctor explained that as we age, sometimes the lens of your eye changes shape and your vision goes back to normal! I went for my license and read the eye chart 20/20 too. But……my need for reading glasses is greater. I went from 1.25 to 1.50. But at least I don’t need glasses to drive, watch TV, etc. Just for reading. Another weird quirk of aging!

    1. Yay! I hope that is what is happening!

  42. Marianne M says:

I’m am optometrist…go get your eyes checked. prescriptions change. But more importantly, eye health needs to be checked. You may have the start of cataracts.

    1. I think I do have the start of cataracts. The eye dr. said that a couple of years ago, but said it wasn’t bad. I’ll have to get it checked out again.

  43. These are so pretty! Anthropologie has some great maxis too.

  44. Susan Mckenzie says:

These dresses look stunning on you!! Because I am petite, most maxi dresses tend to make me look frumpy??!!! These colors are stunning!!

    1. Susan, I think paying attention to where the waist hits you makes a big difference for petite women. If the waist is higher, then it will make you legs look longer.

  45. Very pretty & long! Nice!

  46. Hi Tania
You look wonderful an all the dresses. I have the exact same eye problem as you. After wearing contacts since I was fifteen, my sight improved over the years. The optometrist suggested mono vision-wearing only one contact so I did not need reading glasses. Gradually I stopped wearing the lens and now only wear my glasses for driving-mostly my prescription sunglasses. At 70 it’s hard to believe my eyesight is better than it has been most of my life. Too bad I can’t say that about the rest of my body. I love your blog and always get good ideas from you!

    1. Yes, I have had the same with my eyesight. I only wear my glasses to drive now but I need my reading glasses more. I never knew your eyesight could improve as you age.

      1. Sharon, I didn’t know it could either. But, I always keep my glasses handy for just in case.
