I have spent all week long adding to my list of favorite things that I could bring to all of you today. I would be using something, and think, “I need to put this on my Friday Favorites” list. Lol! Of course, in typical Tania fashion, I didn’t write the items down when I thought of them, so I am sure that I forgot some of them. However, I am sure that they will hit my Friday Favorite’s list at some time. Maybe one of my favorite things should become using my NOTES app on my phone. Lol!
So, let’s get started with some of my favorite things:
1. Dreem Phone Case
A couple of years ago, my son in Tennessee introduced me to the Dreem Phone Case, and I am now a huge fan. This is a phone wallet, but I’ve tried other phone wallets, and this one beats them hands down. I love that it has three slots for cards, your driver’s license, etc., and also a hidden flap behind those for receipts or money. Plus, one of the best features is, this has a separate magnetic case that can be detached from the wallet case. This is great for when you want to take photos, etc. And, finally, the case is sturdy. Unfortunately, this seems to be only for iPhones, so I bought Joe a similar one for his Galaxy phone, but it was not near as sturdy and he ended up trashing it within a week.
Are you someone who likes to shop the weekly ads from the grocery stores? Taking advantage of sales, especially on meats, is something that I like to do. Why pay more than I have to? However, even when you freeze your purchases, you had better use them quickly, or they will get freezer burn. Letting your meat get freezer burn is something that will end up costing you money, instead of saving you money. A Foodsaver is worth the purchase price and will end up saving you money. I just purchased a new one (FM2000) since the one that I’ve had for years is finally on its last legs. I went with the Foodsaver brand, the same brand that I had since it has been durable and reliable. The machine comes with a started roll, but you can purchase rolls in different sizes to fit the product that you want to freeze. By vacuuming out the air, your food will last MUCH longer, and that helps to keep freezer burn from ruining your purchases.
3. Buf-Puf Body Sponge
I have dry skin. My skin has always been rough and scaley, and even though it is getting better, it still needs a lot of help. I’ve tried using exfoliating products in the shower, but most of them are oily and greasy. When you get out of the shower, you would need to clean it right then, or the next person who steps in it could take a tumble. So, I recently started using the Buf-Puf 2-sided body sponge, and it is working great! It is helping me to shed all of the dead layers of skin, and it helps my skin be able to soak up the products that I use once I get out of the shower. This is extremely affordable and well worth the money. You can even buy it as a 6-pack, for even greater savings.
4. Nutribullet Nutrient Extractor
I think the “nutrient extractor” is a fancy name for a blender. Lol! I use the Nutribullet NBR-0601 blender almost daily, and I love that I can mix my smoothie and drink it all from the same container. I bought this blender a long time ago, and it is still working perfectly. It does great even with ice, frozen bananas, and other hard to blend foods like dates. Most of you know that I did a cleanse recently, and I am now replacing one meal a day with a protein shake. I am using Shaklee, the chocolate version, and my sister is a distributor if you are interested in the cleanse or the other products that they offer.
5. Large Silicone Straws
Since I told you about my smoothies, I also wanted to tell you about the straws that I use for that drink. Smoothies, at least the way that I make them, are thick. Because they are thick, they can be hard to drink through a straw. Most of us know that plastic straws are bad for the environment, but I had never found a straw that I liked until I got these. Sucking on a straw can give you lines on your lips, so that is another reason that I like these straws. These silicone straws are larger than a regular straw and they allow you to drink a thicker beverage easier. Also, I put the straw in at the side of my mouth, that way I don’t “purse” my lips when I drink.
6. Atomic Clock
This is another everyday used item. We have several of these La Crosse Atomic Clocks that we use. One is in Joe’s garage, one is in his computer room, one is in our kitchen, and we have several at the lumber company. I like that it keeps the correct time, and has a calendar for those days where everything seems to be running together. But, it is the indoor/outdoor temperature feature that Joe and I use the most. I like to easily glance at the clock and see how hot or cold it is outside, and that gives me an idea of what clothing to wear.
7. Erasable Ink Pens
My daughter turned me on to erasable ink pens last year. I love to write in ink, but I always hated the scribbling that happened when I made a mistake. In the past, I had always used correction tape, but I wasn’t a fan of how that can be scratched off and it just looks messy. These ink pens have made my notes so much nicer since they erase easily and completely. However, the longer that the ink sets, the harder it is to erase. Still, I never write checks with these pens, so make sure that you follow that practice also. Lol! They come in several different colors and brands, and they even come in highlighters.
8. Capresso 10-Cup Coffee Maker
This Capresso Coffee Maker is one of Joe’s favorite items in our house. This is another one of those products that we have multiples of, although not under the same roof. Lol! We have one of these in the owner’s closet at the Condo in North Myrtle Beach, one at the lumber company, and an extra one here just in case the one that we currently use goes bizzerk. What Joe loves the most is the fact that the carafe that the coffee goes into keeps the coffee hot, without added heat which can cause coffee to get bitter. After I get my coffee, I will take the carafe to Joe and sit it on his table.
9. Stacy’s Pita Chips
Here is another “Joe” favorite! These thick Stacy’s Pita Chips are perfect for snacking, using with dips and salsa, or any number of other scoop ideas. They are Organic and GMO-free, there are no artificial colors or flavors, and no MSG. Each batch of pita chips is made from real pita bread and takes about 14 hours to bake. Stacy’s knows there are no shortcuts to crunchy, pita perfection.
10. Inverted Umbrella
I love a double-layered inverted umbrella because it is easy to open and close when you are getting in the car. Plus, the way that it closes, it keeps the excess water from getting all over you as you put the umbrella away. Unfortunately, my granddaughter also loves the inverted umbrellas and has taken everyone that I’ve purchased to her house. So, I am placing my own order again as soon as I finish this post. Lol! There are multiple solids and patterns that you can choose, so you are bound to find one (I recommend at least two) that you will love. I thought the pattern with the blue skies was funny. Even if it is gloomy and pouring the rain, you can still have blue skies above you.
I hope that you have enjoyed this Friday Favorite’s post. If you have any of the items that I mentioned, please tell others what your favorite thing is about the item.

To God Goes The Glory!
11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. 12 When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. 13 But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.
