FAUX FUR VEST FOR WARMTH
It has been a crazy week and today is only Tuesday! All the last minute gifts to buy, finishing the wrapping (or in my case starting the wrapping) planning the Christmas meal, and figuring out when everyone can all go to Livingston to celebrate has been exhausting. It is like the old adage, “trying to wrangle cats.” Unfortunately, Joe and I are the cats that are the hardest to wrangle. Lol!
We will have Christmas here in Virginia, then go to Tennessee and have Christmas there. Then we have to go back to Virginia to do the end of the year for the lumber company. It takes a lot of juggling to find a time when all of us can get together. It doesn’t matter that it is not on Christmas Day, I am just thrilled to see everyone. There have been some years when we didn’t get to go to Tennessee until sometime in January.
I love a fur vest!!! I don’t really like wearing coats unless I am going to be outside a lot. If I am just walking from the house to the car and from the car inside to work, then I don’t usually put on a coat. But, there are times when I like just a little bit of warmth and that is where the vest comes in. This vest is multi-colored and not solid like this one I wore the other day. I was looking back to when I first wore this vest on the blog (here) and I am amazed at the difference. I don’t know if is just me but, holy cow! You need to check out that post and tell me if I am crazy, but I think I look much younger. (not looking for compliments) I’m not sure why, if it is the color I am wearing, if it is the hairstyle, if it is getting better at taking pictures, or if it the Rodan and Fields. Either way, I’ll take it. Lol!
Can you see the short necklace is the Annie. This is the perfect necklace for layering. In the past, I would not have added a shorter necklace but I love adding more. Who knows, next year at this time I may be wearing 3 or 4 necklaces. Lol!
Boot cut jeans were the choice for today. I knew I wanted to wear my burgundy/wine Issac Mizrahi wedge booties and I thought the boot cut jeans would look the best.
How do you like this sweater tunic? I LOVE the color! It is a really heavy knit sweater by Louis Dell Olio. I am not a huge fan of turtleneck sweaters because I have a round face. But the color won me over and I liked the overall effect. I am probably the only one who pays attention to the neckline, well besides you gurls now that I brought it to your attention. Haha
These boot cut jeans are the Maurice brand. I have been wearing so many skinny jeans that I thought I would try wearing my boot cut jeans. How do you feel about boot cut jeans?
You look stunning in this outfit, the whole combination is great!
Wow girl you do look younger! I definitely think the longer blonder hair has a lot to do with it. Doesn’t matter you’re still gorgeous. Love the plum on you also.?
I think the outfit is great! I love boot cut jeans because my hips and thighs are larger than normal, so the boot cut helps balance things out. Your hair now looks cuter, and I notice your poses in the old post look like you’re leaning back, which looks a little odd maybe. Much better poses now, and photography is good too! Congrats on your growth! Lovely!
Love the outfit!
I just added a fur vest to my collection this fall for the same reason you mentioned. Keeps me warm and it feels light compared to a coat.
You do look more youthful …
The hair color is softer and there is an underlying creative confidence that comes through in yout photos.
They ‘inspire’ to be bold, to be creeative to be an individual and be fabulous! :)))))
Safe travels and do post the sweet potato crunch recipe please … 🙂
I will be posting the sweet potato crunch recipe on tomorrow’s blog.
It’s a good thing…it was gonna get ugly. Merry Christmas!!!
Hahaha!
You are glowing in these pictures. I do notice a difference. Love this color on you and love the vest. Happy Merry Joyful Holidays to you and your family!
I love your look today. The tunic color is beautiful. Bootcut is my favorite. I have never tried Maurice’s jeans but may have to.
Gorgeous outfit on you Tania the plum really suits you I think it’s the extra length in your hair very trendy ? being Irish our Christmas dinner has a lot of potatoes ? creamed roast and croquets and I love them all ? ?
I wear NYDJ boot cut and love them. My shoes are cowboy boots, normally red ones.
On Christmas we order the dinner from a grocery store and have never been disappointed. Comes with all the sides plus desert, all we must do is heat it up. There will be 11 at our home this year enjoying a ham feast.
Love your blogs. Have a fun day.
You look really lovely today, I would struggle to pick a favourite outfit for December, they’ve all been winners for me. I wear a lot of that purple colour, I have a lot of red in my complexion and the blue undertones of that shade seem to tone it down.
I’ve never had sweet potato crunch but it sounds delicious. Could you post that recipe?
